Jiang Xue returned to the tribe, but before she could put the basket of bamboo rats down from her shoulders, Aunt Cao came over and said, "Witch Xue, we're running low on salt in the tribe. When do you think we should go to the Bluebird Tribe to exchange for some?"
Jiang Xue frowned: "Why didn't you tell me about such a big thing earlier? How much salt do we have now?"
Aunt Cao said worriedly, "We just estimated that we can only hold out for another ten days or so."
Ten days?!
"How come it's so little?"
Jiang Xue just felt overwhelmed.
"It's not a small amount. The flea market will open in about ten days. We can go and exchange some more then."
Jiang Xue looked at her with a wry smile: "Auntie Cao, we've fallen out with the Bluebird Tribe. Do you think we can still enter the flea market?"
After all, if she doesn't manage the household, she doesn't know how expensive food, oil, salt and firewood are. She doesn't care about anything and only cares about whether she has food to eat.
Aunt Cao sighed, somewhat self-reproachfully, and said, "Look at my memory, but what if the tribe doesn't have enough salt?"

She planed six or seven boards in a row before the two sisters, Xiangcao and Xiaohua, finally arrived. As soon as they entered the tribe, Xiaohua called out, "Children, come and see what delicious food Sister Xiangcao has brought you!"
Unable to resist the temptation, the children swarmed over and surrounded her, chattering, "Sister Xiaohua, what is this?"
Xiaohua then proudly took out the thorn tip and shared it with them. She first demonstrated: "Follow my example. You have to peel off the skin before you can eat it!"

Xiaohua was not partial. She and Xiangcao spent so much time and didn't catch any chicks, but at least they found some fresh food.
The basket full of thorns was not enough for the tribe to share. They took a handful, I took a single thorn, and in a short while, the thorns were all used up.
Jiang Xue switched to another piece of wood and planed it twice. Da Wei came over and asked her, "Xue Wu, the clay model we made a while ago is almost dry. When do you think we can start firing it?"
Jiang Xue still pushed everything onto Mu Feng: "No rush, let's wait until the clan leader comes back."
Dawei hit a snag and was about to leave without saying anything when Jiang Xue called out to him, "Have we prepared the firewood for the kiln?"
She hadn't cared about the firewood these days and didn't care whether there was enough firewood.
Dawei nodded. "Almost done. We started preparing the firewood when we started digging the mud. The weather isn't very good right now, it rains a lot, but the firewood should be almost dry now."
"Okay, let them continue to chop wood tomorrow."
In the evening, Akagi's sheep-catching team finally returned.
There were about twenty sheep, and they mobilized more than thirty people in total. In the end, they used Jiang Xue's method to kill the whole group of goats in one go, and the speed was much faster than before.
The group locked the goats in the sheep pen, scooped some water with a bamboo tube and poured it into the trough, then left them alone.
Akagi is back, and Mufeng's hunting team is back with him.

"It's a big deal," Jiang Xue said seriously. "The tribe is running low on salt. Aunt Cao said it can only last for ten days at most. Do you have a better way to solve this problem?"
Mu Feng frowned. "Only ten days?" He stared at Jiang Xue. "Then this matter will be difficult to handle."
