Wu Lan was stunned. She stared at him in surprise. She bit her lip and looked at Wu Wen for help.
Wu Wen didn't even look at her. Originally, the price offered by the Bluebird Tribe for the four horses was eighty bags of salt. Excluding the twenty bags of deposit they received, they could still receive sixty bags of salt.
These sixty bags of salt alone are enough for their bamboo tribe for a whole year.
Now, because of that fool Wu Lan, forty bags of salt were lost in vain.
The iron sword is nice, but there is only one!
He looked at Wu Lan with a dark face, pulled Wu Bing over and whispered a few words to him. Wu Lan heard Wu Bing say, "Is this possible?"
"How do we know if it works if we don't try?" Wu Wen said, "Look at the bamboo house in their tribe. Our tribe has plenty of bamboo. If they can build it, so can we. Don't you see that many of their elders are sitting in that strange house weaving all kinds of bamboo products? If we can learn this technique, we can use bamboo to store things like them in the future. Even when we go out hunting, we can bring back more prey."
Wu Bing seemed to be persuaded by his words, but when he saw Wu Lan eavesdropping, he became furious: "Alright, let's wait until we report this to the clan leader and let him make the final decision."
Wu Wen continued, "Uncle Bing, don't you find it strange that people from the Bear Tribe would appear in the Snake Tribe?"
Wu Bing shook his head: "The Bear Tribe was wiped out last year, so it's not surprising that one or two people escaped."
"Uncle Bing, you didn't pay attention. There are more than one or two people from the Bear Tribe who have come to the Snake Tribe. From what I've observed, there are more than a dozen of them in the Snake Tribe. So, I don't think they were wiped out. They must have merged with the Snake Tribe."
"Merge?" Wu Bing stared at him with wide eyes and said weakly, "That shouldn't be the case, right?"
Hasn't their Bear Tribe always been a subsidiary tribe of the Eagle Tribe? How could they turn around and merge into the Snake Tribe?
"Uncle Bing, I think it's very possible. It's said that the Snake Tribe only had forty or fifty people before. I counted them today, and there are over thirty people in the tribe alone. If the Bear Tribe hadn't merged with the Snake Tribe, how could they have so many people?"
Wu Bing was stunned. Wu Wen continued, "Uncle Bing, have you forgotten that my mother is from the Bear Tribe? She's taken my brother and me back before. Although not many times, I still remember clearly that there was an old man with six fingers in the Bear Tribe. And this old man is now weaving in that house in the Snake Tribe!"
"Seriously?" Wu Bing looked at him, "Is everything you said true?"
"It's true. I'm just curious about how their tribe was able to accommodate so many people from the Bear Tribe."
There are not too many people in the Bear Tribe, but there are at least fifty or sixty of them. With so many people, they can be incorporated into the Snake Tribe without conflict, and instead live in harmony. The people of the Snake Tribe are very good at this.
Wu Wen continued, "Except for the Snake Tribe, no other tribe can cultivate fertile land around their territory and grow crops like they do." He pursed his lips and smiled. "They even have a way to transplant flowers growing in the pond to their doorstep. Uncle Bing, do you think the flowers would survive if we were to do this?"
He was referring to the lotus flowers in the ditch at the entrance of the Snake Tribe.
The lotus flowers in the Snake Tribe have already grown buds. The buds are pink and tender. Although they have not fully opened yet, they have a refreshing fragrance.
It is already amazing to be able to plant lotus flowers in your own home, and it is even more surprising to be able to make them survive.
Wu Bing's mind moved: "If this is really the case, then the solution we have been searching for is about to come."
This is a big deal.
Although the development of their Bamboo Tribe in recent years has not been too bad, the cave where they live is far away from the water source, and the original water source can no longer meet the daily water supply of the Bamboo Tribe. They have also considered relocating the entire tribe.
But this is exactly the problem. If we want to move, no matter where we move to, we will inevitably conflict with other tribes, and as long as there is a conflict with other tribes, there will inevitably be a war.
There will be casualties in war. Other tribes can withstand it, but their Bamboo Tribe simply cannot!
The Bamboo Tribe may seem prosperous on the surface, but in reality, they are struggling to make ends meet. The death of even one elderly person in the Bamboo Tribe is a huge loss to them.
Not to mention that the tribe’s population has also been declining rapidly in recent years.
Due to lack of water, the newborn puppies are not well cared for every year. It is a great joy for them to live to the age of two.
Wu Lan listened to their mumblings and interrupted them with a look of resentment on her face: "Yeah, the Snake Tribe is good in everything, but you only see the good in front of you. Have you ever thought about how we exchanged our horses for them? What's so good about this tribe? It's obvious that wolves and humans can't coexist, but they can actually coexist with wolves! I think you've all lost your minds."
Wu Wen's eyes lit up: "Alan, did you only see that they raised wolves, but didn't see that they also raised chickens, sheep, wild boars and two cows?"
Wu Lan stared at him with wide eyes: "What did you say?" As soon as she said that, she realized she had lost her composure and shouted angrily: "Who cares!"
"I know you don't care, but there are so many things you haven't noticed!" Wu Wen said, pursing his lips. "Think about it carefully. There are chickens crowing in the Snake Tribe, and there must be quite a few chicks. There are also about ten lambs. As for the wild boars, I only saw four or five piglets, but I can be sure that those wild boars are the ones they have been raising in the tribe."
