Chapter 164 Building a Brick House

Hunting, making money, practicing martial arts, and teaching Yang Qing.

Before the busy spring season was over, Li Aihua and Xu Cui went to the cannery to sell eggs.

When Li Aihua went to the supply and marketing cooperative to buy brown sugar for cooked food and household use, she asked two salesmen about people who could build a brick house.

Following the information from the salesperson at the supply and marketing cooperative, Li Aihua found several bricklayers and carpenters.

Once the personnel arrangements are finalized and we find some villagers to help, we can almost get started on building the house.

After the busy spring season was over, the three families started to build houses.

When the villagers learned that several members of the Hu family were going to build houses, they all sighed with envy.

With all the workers and materials ready, the construction of the house began in full swing.

Before deciding when to build the house, Hu Lin and Li Aihua sold all the game at home and suspended their business.

Considering that one family was still living in the home, a temporary shelter was built with tarpaulin next to it before the house was demolished.

It was just that Hu Lin hadn’t slept on a wooden bed for many years, so he wasn’t used to it at first and woke up for several nights.

Hu Xiaoyi helped with carpentry work every day, while Li Aihua cooked on a makeshift stove made of bricks, with Gao Ruqiong helping in the kitchen.

When you ask someone to help you with work, you have to provide meals.

Their two houses were only a hundred meters apart, so they just moved them together.

Hu Lin had nothing to do every day, so he went up the mountain to train.

Except for coming back to eat at noon and sleep at night, I couldn't see even a single person.

When they were building the house in full swing, Yang Lao and Yang Jing came back with a group of educated youth.

This group of educated youth looked quite young, around 16 or 17 years old.

When the villagers who had children of similar age saw this, they were all happy.

Fortunately, the child dropped out of school when he was about to turn sixteen.

Otherwise, they don’t know where their children will be assigned.

If children were assigned to the northwest like Hu Fu from the Hu family, with a completely opposite climate environment, how would they adapt to it?

This group of educated youth are young and many of them are spoiled.

Every now and then, they would have disputes with the farmers who were mobilized to teach, and the village cadres would have to mediate from time to time.

Therefore, Murakami officials have been exhausted recently.

I could only sigh in my heart: settling the educated youth is really not an easy task.

During the weekend, Yang Qing, who was practicing martial arts with Hu Lin, told Hu Lin about this matter that had been giving his father a headache recently.

Hu Lin listened with no expression, sitting on the ground to drink some water and take a break.

Yang Qing also sat down next to her and talked about another thing.

"Next month, my brother and Liu Zhiqing are getting married."

"Hmm?" Hearing this, Hu Lin became interested. "How did they get together?"

"I don't know either. I just found out about it these past few days.

I heard my parents discussing the three big things, and then I asked them about it, and only then did I know about it.

If my mom hadn’t mentioned it, I wouldn’t have known they’d been secretly dating for a while.”

Yang Qing was also shocked, and he was the last one in the family to know about it.

"Then congratulations. You're finally going to have a sister-in-law."

Hu Lin curled his lips when he thought of how Yang Shu was urged by Yang Jing to find a partner every year.

“But my second sister told me that she would be in big trouble next.

I have to deal with the pressure from my parents." Yang Qing turned around and talked about his second sister.

"Has your second sister not found a man she likes yet?

What kind of person is she looking for?" Hu Lin chatted along.

The morning sun felt warm on his body, making Hu Lin look a little lazy.

Yang Qing turned his head to look at Hu Lin, complaining, "I don't know either!

They don’t tell me anything.”

Hu Lin didn't reply, he stood up and walked forward, "Get up, practice with me."

Yang Qing glanced at Hu Lin's back, with sandbags tied to every part of his body, and a bitter face appeared on his face.

Every time he practiced with Hu Lin, he was defeated miserably and had to spend a month or so to recover from his injuries.

During this period, training cannot be stopped.

Yang Qing stood up helplessly, stood opposite Hu Lin and took a stance.

He was also covered with sandbags, but they were not as heavy as those on Hu Lin.

Hu Lin stood still with his hands behind his back.

His eyes were casual, even a little distracted.

Yang Qing, however, felt as if he was facing a formidable enemy.

He seized the opportunity, rushed over quickly, and punched Hu Lin in the face.

The moment the fist reached his face, Hu Lin tilted his head to avoid it.

Yang Qing's fist hit Hu Lin's short hair that was raised when he tilted his head.

Yang Qing immediately changed his strategy and punched Hu Lin's temple, trying to give him a heavy blow.

Hu Lin bent down and leaned back to avoid Yang Qing's attack, and at the same time raised his leg and swept towards Yang Qing's abdomen.

In a flash, Yang Qing couldn't dodge and was kicked directly, stepping back several steps.

At the same time, Hu Lin landed with one foot, twisted his body, took a big step to close the distance between the two, and swept his other leg towards Yang Qing's cheek.

Yang Qing bent his arms to block it, then took a few steps to the side.

Hu Lin turned around, retracted his legs, and stood still.

He raised his other leg and kicked at Yang Qing's stomach, but Yang Qing turned sideways and barely avoided it.

When Hu Lin's feet brushed past the sandbags on his waist and abdomen, there was also a sound of breaking wind.

Hu Lin stood in front of Yang Qing where his leg was standing, and bent his other knee to push towards Yang Qing's abdomen again.

This time Yang Qing failed to dodge and was bent over in an instant.

At the same time, his mouth was slightly open, his face flushed with pain, with a hint of purple in the red.
