In the middle of the night, a small incident occurred.
In the ticket carriage past this carriage, a middle-aged man had a severe fever and fell into a coma. The conductor came over personally to wake him up.
The berth she was in was number one, the one closest to the aisle.
So I woke her up first.
Hu Lin's eyes flashed as he looked at his armband with the words "Train Conductor" on it.
After hearing the conductor's request for her to switch seats with the person with a high fever, Hu Lin spoke up.
"Can."
No matter who he is, he is no small figure as long as the train conductor comes to him personally to inquire about his affairs in the middle of the night.
Why not do someone a favor?
"Thank you so much." The conductor expressed his sincere gratitude.
"Go and bring the person over." Hu Lin sat up and prepared to put on his rain boots.
The conductor went to the ticket car and carried the middle-aged man, who was already unconscious from the burns, over with another man.
Hu Lin had already packed up by now, and was looking at the three people who were coming over with his backpack on his back.
Watching them place the unconscious middle-aged man on her berth.
The vision was dim and the unconscious middle-aged man lowered his head. Only when he lay down could Hu Lin vaguely see the man's appearance.
I felt a sense of familiarity after watching it.
Another man in his thirties looked at the conductor and asked in a low voice, "Do you have bowls and spoons?
I'm going to grind the antipyretic medicine into powder, mix it with water and feed it to the teacher."
"Yes, I'll get it for you right away."
The conductor turned to leave, and seeing Hu Lin, he said,
"Come with me, I'll take you to your location."
Hu Lin followed silently and was placed in the original man's position.
Hu Lin sat down with his legs apart and the small backpack placed between his legs.
The seat next to him was empty, apparently it belonged to another man.
Along the way, because of the noise just now, many people in the car woke up and looked at them in a daze.
But the people nearby were in high spirits and looked worried.
These people are with those two people.
They all carried a somewhat worn army green canvas cross-body briefcase with a crimson five-pointed star on it.
He exudes the elegance of an intellectual, but his hands look very rough.
The skin color is yellow and black, which only farmers have.
Some of them even have traces of staining between the nails, and the color of the calluses on the fingertips looks a bit yellow-green.
These people are definitely not educated youth.
So what kind of intellectuals would go to the fields to work?
Hu Lin closed his eyes and thought in his heart.
After a while, someone sat down next to me, and then several people in front and behind me asked in low voices, "How is the teacher? Is the professor feeling better?"
The person next to him whispered, "Don't worry, I have already given the teacher the antipyretic medicine. Go to sleep, I will look after the teacher tonight." and left.
After the man left, the people around him gradually quieted down.
After hearing their conversation, Hu Lin felt a surge of shock in his heart.
She actually met the father of rice, who solved the food problem, on the train.
That man was one of the few people she admired.
With surprise, Hu Lin slowly fell asleep.
It is not easy to fall asleep on a hard seat. I was half asleep the whole night.
Whenever there was a noise in the carriage, she woke up. This repeated all night long until dawn finally came.
Hu Lin went to the toilet with a backpack on his back, washed his face with cold water, and then got hot water. Only then did he regain his consciousness.
She returned to her seat and ate the cold meat pie.
The people in the front and back seats were also eating their dry food. After they finished, they went to the sleeper car in groups of three or four to see people.
After they had gone a few waves, Hu Lin pretended to be curious and followed them to see them.
What you hear is not as good as what you see.
She wanted to see with her own eyes whether it was that person.
A sick middle-aged man sat on her berth, drinking some white porridge that he got from somewhere.
Hu Lin was standing by the door of the carriage, but she didn't go in. The middle-aged man who was drinking porridge could see her as soon as he raised his eyes.
Perhaps it was because her gaze was too direct that the middle-aged man looked at her with regret.
Seeing the middle-aged man looking at her, the man who had been sitting beside his bed all night without sleeping also looked over.
Seeing that it was her, he turned around and smiled and explained to the middle-aged man, "This girl is the one who changed the teacher's bed last night."
The middle-aged man was surprised when he heard it, then he looked at Hu Lin with a smile and thanked her, "Thank you, little girl.
My fever has subsided now. I'll switch back with you later.
I'm sorry to bother you last night. I'm sure you didn't sleep well."
The gray color of Hu Lin's eyelids is the best proof.
"No need, patients have privileges." Hu Lin shook his head and smiled back.
She was sure it was that person.
He still looks very young now, with a pair of clear, peaceful eyes that are also somewhat compassionate.
"I feel so embarrassed." The middle-aged man looked embarrassed.
"If you feel embarrassed, you can treat me to a meal after getting off the bus, and then I can return it."
Hu Lin said, then changed the subject.
"I'm going to the capital, where are you going?"
The train's final destination is Beijing, but there are many stops along the way.
Her purpose was not to eat, but to take the opportunity to ask for contact information.
The opportunity was presented to her. If she didn't seize it, she would have wasted God's kindness.
“What a coincidence, we are also going to the capital.
Little girl, what are you doing going to the capital alone? "
