That's where the rest of the squad is.
Hu Lin moved among the big trees, and occasionally his attention was attracted involuntarily.
All I could think about was the ticks all over Zhou Huaijing's body. How much blood would it take to clean them all?
While the man was unconscious, Gu Liu worked with Qiu Jing to clean up the ticks.
Gu Liu was responsible for cleaning and Qiu Jing was responsible for disinfection.
The project is huge and takes a long time.
The ticks here have mutated. They are larger than the ticks outside, and they are full of blood. Half of their bodies are buried under the skin, so ordinary cleaning methods are not effective.
You can only use a knife to cut the place where the tick touches your skin, and then clean the tick out.
Every time Zhou Huaijing cleans a tick, a lollipop-shaped orangutan hole will be left on his body.
The tick sucked all the blood near the skin and flesh, and Gu Liu cut it with a knife, but no more blood came out.
Halfway through the process, Zhou Huaijing woke up from his coma in pain.
When Gu Liu saw this, he wanted to give Zhou Huaijing anesthesia, but Zhou Huaijing shook his head and refused.
"What's wrong with you? Have you lost your sense of pain?" Gu Liu wondered.
His body was covered with ticks, and he didn't know how many cuts he would have to make. Without anesthetic, he didn't know how he could survive.
Zhou Huaijing didn't have the energy to speak, so he just shook his head.
Gu Liu pursed his lips when he saw this and continued to clean the tick.
I complained in my heart: Both husband and wife have the same problem in their brains.
What Zhou Huaijing was thinking was actually very simple.
He just wanted to use this kind of pain to confirm the fact that he had escaped.
Even though he had escaped now, he still felt as if he was still in that room.
It is a monster that has been marinated to the bone with a strong and foul smell of blood.
What happened to him after he was caught here was a darkness that he dared not recall.
One by one, they watched their skin and flesh disappear, their bodies covered with ticks, and bats sucking blood from their wounds, until finally they were reduced to skeletons.
He was also forced...
So many people, so many people...
*
At dawn, the thick fog gradually dissipated.
The ticks on Zhou Huaijing's body were finally cleared away. Gu Liu and Qiu Jing were sweating profusely and exhausted.
Dilong and Wangxing watched for the whole night, and seeing the ticks that they had cleared out and piled up into small hills, they felt chilled and uncomfortable.
Hu Lin and Ji Renhui came back covered in blood, with Hu Lin holding a combat uniform in his hand.
The team gathered, and Hu Lin looked at Zhou Huaijing's body full of wounds, some wrapped in gauze and some exposed.
Dilong called a few people to the side, leaving the two of them some space alone.
Zhou Huaijing recovered some strength and sat on the ground, his body covered with blood holes and his face pale.
They looked at each other in silence for a long time.
Soon, Zhou Huaijing reached out to Hu Lin and said, "Give me the clothes."
The natives had no clothes to wear in order to allow ticks to attach better.
Hu Lin handed it to Zhou Huaijing and asked, "Can you do it now?"
Seeing this, Zhou Huaijing didn't take the clothes, and said in a fragile voice, "It doesn't seem to work. Please help me."
Hu Lin squatted down and helped Zhou Huaijing put on his clothes.
The two were very close to each other. Zhou Huaijing looked at the people in the distance and asked in a low voice: "Who are they? Are they your friends?"
Hu Lin listened, holding the clothes with his hands for a moment, and then said: "I found them to save you. They will not disclose any information about the mission."
Just now, she felt Zhou Huaijing's murderous intent.
He wanted to kill everyone except her.
The other members of the team also noticed something was wrong and looked over here.
"Really?" Zhou Huaijing asked back nervously, his eyes somewhat empty, sinister and crazy surging deep inside.
Hu Lin looked into Zhou Huaijing's eyes and said, "I guarantee it with my life."
Seeing this, Zhou Huaijing gave a stiff smile and said, "I'm just asking."
"I thought I would never see you again." Zhou Huaijing changed the subject.
"Don't talk." Hu Lin interrupted, "You are very weak now."
"I can't die yet." Zhou Huaijing gave up on himself.
Hu Lin buttoned up his clothes and stepped back with an inexplicable sense of depression.
But Zhou Huaijing held her back.
She looked over with a hint of doubt in her eyes.
All I saw was Zhou Huaijing's face approaching.
He pecked her gently on the lips.
Hu Lin felt a lump in his throat.
"I missed you so much."
Zhou Huaijing's eyes were red and he kissed her again.
Hu Lin saw it and closed his eyes.
No response, no rejection.
She knew that she was soft-hearted, but she also knew that she shouldn't be soft-hearted.
The people nearby saw this and silently stepped back a little.
After Zhou Huaijing vented all her complicated emotions, she saw that Hu Lin was still like a wooden stake, so she bit her.
Hu Lin frowned in pain and opened his eyes.
Blood beads appeared on his lips and Zhou Huaijing licked them away.
She glared at Zhou Huaijing, stepped back and distanced herself from him, "Want something to eat?"
She thought it was time for the natives to get up and move around, and she didn't have time to waste with Zhou Huaijing.
"I don't want to eat." Zhou Huaijing's stomach churned and he felt nauseous when he thought of food.
"Then drink some water." Hu Lin took out a military water bottle and handed it to Zhou Huaijing.
His lips were cracked and chapped just now, which made her feel uncomfortable.
? Zhou Huaijing took the kettle but didn't drink it. "The water here is poisonous, did you know that?"
That was why they fell into a coma, felt weak all over when they woke up, and were taken back by the natives without any resistance.
"Everything here is poisonous, but they are all mild toxins. If you don't eat too much and cook it at high temperatures, you'll be fine."
Hulin explained.
"So that's how it is." Zhou Huaijing pulled the corner of his mouth and drank water in small sips, "How did you get here?"
