Chapter 31 Little Princess

"Husband, get up quickly, the little princess is here."

Qin Chuan was still entwined with Su Ruyan in his sleep when he was unexpectedly woken up.

Unexpectedly, it was Su Ruyan who came to wake him up today; usually it was Yuan'er or Juan'er.

It was said that the young princess had arrived, and everyone in the Su family had to go to greet her.

After getting dressed, Qin Chuan, holding a toothbrush and applying toothpaste, asked, "What brings the young princess to the Su residence?"

Su Ruyan explained that she had only learned today that this young princess was her eldest sister's daughter, and this was her first time visiting the Su residence.

After explaining, Su Ruyan suddenly blushed, as if she had recalled some unpleasant memories.

"Why are you blushing... We'll go greet them!"

Qin Chuan didn't hear what the young princess said to Su Ruyan last night, so he naturally didn't feel embarrassed.

After a quick wash, Qin Chuan and Su Ruyan arrived at the gate of the Su residence. Su Zhi Qiu, Madam Yan, Su Ru Xue, Xu Mu, Su Ru Hua, and others were there.

Soon a procession arrived at the gate of the Su residence. At the head of the procession were several eunuchs, followed by an extremely luxurious carriage with several palace maids serving on both sides, and then the guards protecting the emperor.

The procession stopped in front of the Su residence, and palace maids helped the young princess down from the carriage.

"grandmother!"

The young princess went straight to Madam Yan, radiating a vibrant and energetic aura!

Madam Yan held her fair wrist, calling her "my beloved grandson," and showered her with concern for a long time.

"Grandpa."

Since the young princess had already spoken with Su Zhi Qiu the night before, she simply gave a curtsy and then walked up to Su Ru Yan.

"Brother?"

The young princess looked at Su Ruyan strangely, her big eyes filled with doubt, "Aren't you a man?"

Su Zhi Qiu said, "This is your fifth aunt."

"Fifth Aunt?!"

The young princess's eyes were wide open, which was somewhat frightening.

Su Ruyan also looked embarrassed, unsure of what to say.

"Hehe..." The little princess chuckled for a while and said, "So you're Fifth Aunt!"

"You...know each other?" Su Ruxue asked.

The young princess didn't answer, but walked up to Su Ruxue and asked, "Are you Third Aunt?"

Su Ruxue said with great joy, "It's me! It's me!"

Then the young princess met her third aunt's husband, Xu Mu, and her fourth aunt, Su Ruhua. When she walked up to Qin Chuan, she was surprised again: "It's you? Young Master Qin?"

"This is your fifth aunt's husband," Su Zhi Qiu introduced from behind her.

"Fifth Aunt's husband? It's a pleasure to meet you!"

The young princess greeted Qin Chuan differently from others; she clasped her hands in a fist salute.

Qin Chuan was also surprised and delighted that the young princess who appeared at the poetry gathering last night was actually his relative. He was speechless with surprise and joy.

Just when everyone thought the young princess would walk away after greeting them, she suddenly turned around and blinked, asking, "Fifth Uncle, could you teach me how to write poetry?"

"Ah... this..." Qin Chuan hesitated, unsure how to answer.

"Master, please accept my bow!" The young princess knelt down immediately.

This startled everyone. Who was she, to kneel before Qin Chuan?

Everyone tried to help her up, but she said, "If Fifth Uncle doesn't agree, Shan'er won't get up!"

Qin Chuan looked at Su Ruyan; this was the first time he'd encountered something like this, and he was at a loss for what to do. Su Ruyan looked at Su Zhi Qiu; this was also the first time she'd encountered something like this, and she could only ask her father for help…

Fortunately, Su Zhi Qiu had been navigating the officialdom for many years and was extremely shrewd. He first said to Qin Chuan:

"The young princess has loved poetry since childhood. Qin Chuan, if you have time, please teach her..."

Then he turned to the young princess and said, "There's no need for this apprenticeship ceremony. We're all family, so let's not bother with those formalities."

"Ah, yes, yes, yes!" Qin Chuan hurriedly went to help the little princess.

"Are you really willing to teach me how to write poetry?" the young princess asked.

"Sure," Qin Chuan replied.

"That's wonderful." The young princess then stood up.

...

Next, the young princess toured the Su residence, as this was her first time there. Then, she went to Madam Yan's room and chatted with her for a while.

Su Zhi Qiu couldn't accompany Qin Chuan because she had to go to the government office to sign documents, and instructed Qin Chuan to take good care of the young princess.

After strolling around for a while, the young princess instructed the palace maids to deliver the gifts brought from the capital to everyone. Qin Chuan received a set of the Four Treasures of the Study and a brush washer. The things from the palace were indeed different; they were very exquisite and luxurious.

I had heard Su Ruyan say that this young princess was extremely favored by the Empress in the palace, and treated like her own home. It seems that what she said was true. No ordinary princess would receive such treatment...

However, this may also be related to her innocent and naive personality. Anyone would like someone as naive and sweet as her.

After touring the Su residence, the young princess found it boring and asked Qin Chuan and Su Ruyan to take her out to play.

It's definitely the age for having fun; they can't stay still!

Qin Chuan and Su Ruyan discussed it and decided that since they were planning to move to the "Qin Family Courtyard," they might as well take her there for a visit. The courtyard had mountains, water, and a manor, making it an excellent choice for sightseeing.

...

"The Qin family courtyard? Is it a small courtyard?"

Inside the magnificent royal carriage, the young princess asked Qin Chuan a question with curiosity.

"It's not that big."

"Oh, Mother told me that there are ants in the courtyard in the countryside. What do ants look like? Are they tasty?" the little princess asked, blinking her big eyes.

Qin Chuan and Su Ruyan exchanged a glance and almost burst out laughing.
