Chapter 40 Raid (Part 2)

The snow is getting heavier.

The tiny snow particles gradually turned into clusters of snowflakes that flew down, like catkins and goose feathers floating from the sky, covering people's shoulders and hair.

Wei Xiyin and Qin Shan each led a group of Jingwei to intercept the soldiers blocking the road.

Hundreds of wooden oxen and flowing horses rushed all the way, knocking many soldiers to the ground. Immediately, the guards took the opportunity to step forward and knocked them unconscious with a palm.

Wei Lang followed Chang Ying and rushed in. He was always mindful of his identity as the second in command of the Dragon and Tiger Stronghold in Crow Mountain, and acted as a bandit conscientiously. He was not polite at all when he met soldiers who blocked his way.

Wei Lang was extremely strong and his blows were ruthless. The soldiers who fought him were completely unable to withstand him and were defeated one after another.

A moment later, the wooden ox and flowing horse arrived straight at the warehouse door, broke it open, and the guards quickly loaded grain onto the cart.

Zhang Yuanyan ran down the city wall and led the soldiers here. He took the sword handed to him by his confidant, swung it, and took a few steps to block Wei Xiyin and others.

The two groups met on a narrow road, but no one took action.

Zhang Yuanyan narrowed his eyes slightly. He vaguely heard a woman's voice among the bandits just now, and he thought it was a man's voice.

Now looking closely, the person in front is petite and light, wearing a dark short shirt and thick jacket, and is a head shorter than the other men.

Although he was wearing a mask, his body shape could not be changed.

Who would have thought that the leader of this group of bandits was actually a woman!

A slight surprise flashed across Zhang Yuanyan's eyes. "Young lady, you are so bold! You dare to seize the imperial granary. Do you know that this move will bring disaster upon your clan?"

Zhang Yuanyan looked at these well-equipped "bandits" and immediately realized that he had been fooled.

The two groups who called themselves the Dragon and Tiger Camp had vastly different attire, martial arts strength, and discipline, and were clearly unrelated.

These people must have been lying in ambush near the granary for a long time.

Wei Xiyin did not answer. The villain died because of talking too much. She just needed to delay these people and prevent them from interfering with Chang Ying and others loading food.

Zhang Yuanyan waited for a long time, but no one paid any attention to him. This group of bandits was not only so bold as to rob the granary, but also so arrogant that they did not take him seriously at all.

He was extremely angry and raised his sword with great momentum, rushing towards Wei Xiyin.

As the distance gradually shortened, seeing the long sword coming, Qin Shan beside her moved and flashed in front of her, raising the long tasseled spear in his hand to block the attack.

The weapons collided, sparks of fire erupted, and soon the two men were entangled in a fight.

Zhang Yuanyan was born a military officer. He had been to the battlefield and had experienced many years of hard work to get to where he is today. Every move he made was filled with ruthlessness.

Seeing the sword flash falling, Qin Shan took the attack calmly and moved with ease. The advantage of the long tassel spear was very obvious at this moment. No matter how tricky Zhang Yuanyan's attack angle was, the long sword could not penetrate the defense line.

Wei Xiyin observed for a long time and made sure that Qin Shan could handle it himself, so she turned her attention to the group of soldiers behind her.

The group of soldiers who followed them had not yet reacted when they felt a pain in the back of their heads and instantly lost consciousness and fell to the ground.

Zhang Yuanyan was filled with hatred when he saw this. It was obvious that this group of bandits came prepared. Not only did they know the granary very well, but their actions also revealed that they knew exactly the number of surviving Yizhou troops.

"Who are you?!" he asked repeatedly.

Unfortunately, no one answered him.

Chang Ying and others moved quickly and finished loading the food in the blink of an eye. The hundreds of wooden ox carts were filled with food piled up like mountains.

He gave a signal and directed the guards to retreat.

After receiving the news, Qin Shan no longer wanted to fight and retreated while fighting.

Zhang Yuanyan saw his intention and snorted coldly, "Want to run? Not that easy."

As soon as he finished speaking, he suddenly pulled away, turned around and ran straight towards Wei Xiyin who was not far away.

He had long seen that this group of "bandits" were obviously taking orders from the young lady. To catch a thief, one must first catch the leader. As long as he captured her, he would naturally be able to make this group of people surrender.

Qin Shan was shocked: "Boss!" He wanted to stop it but it was too late.

Wei Xiyin subconsciously turned her head and saw Zhang Yuanyan was only a few steps away from her, stretching out his left hand to grab her.

She misstepped and took seven or eight steps back, holding Luoxue across her chest. She dodged instinctively and barely avoided the sneak attack.

But the blade followed closely in the blink of an eye and pierced her shoulder.

Everything happened in a flash.

"The boss!"

"Girl!"

The people behind him were all furious.

Qin Shan had already arrived, thrusting his spear fiercely at Zhang Yuanyan, and shouted, "Retreat!"

More and more guards came and escorted Wei Xiyin towards the door.

Zhang Yuanyan was isolated and helpless, unable to pursue them, and could only watch the group of people run out the door.

Tian San and others at the door had already disappeared with the food.

He kept his word and threw Gong Liulang in front of the gate.

Gong Liulang leaned weakly against the city gate, his face showing no expression of sadness or joy. He raised his eyelids and looked up. A masked girl, surrounded by many "bandits", passed by him and hurriedly left with a hundred carts of grain.

………

The snow fell heavier and heavier, and the sky and the earth gradually turned into a vast expanse of white.

The crowd carried food and ran all the way to Changlan Village before stopping.

"Girl, is there anything wrong with you?" Chang Ying rushed over anxiously as soon as the team stopped when he heard that the girl was injured.

Wei Lang's eyes were red. He ran over, hugged his sister, and opened his mouth to cry.

Wei Xiyin quickly stopped him, "I'm fine." She rubbed her aching shoulder. Thanks to the gold-thread soft armor given by her grandfather, otherwise she would have really shed blood.

Sure enough, he was still too weak. He was good at killing zombies, but he had no ability to resist a military officer like the Assistant Pacifier.

"Chang Ying, please teach me martial arts when we get back." Wei Xiyin said.

Seeing that the girl was fine, Chang Ying finally felt relieved. "It's a good thing that the girl wants to learn martial arts. I am naturally happy to teach her."

Qin Shan pursed his lips and said nothing, his face looking very ugly. It was his fault for not protecting his master well enough.

After confirming that the girl was fine, everyone did not delay any longer and returned to Changlan Village with their carts full of food.

As soon as we arrived at the village entrance, a young man ran out immediately.

He stepped forward and asked eagerly, "How is it? I didn't lie to you, did I?"

Although he is called a teenager, he actually looks like a little brat. His height only reaches Wei Lang's shoulders. He is thin and skinny, with a sallow complexion. He has been malnourished for a long time. He looks so weak that he seems like he can be knocked down by a single finger.

The only thing on his body that was bright and full of brilliance was his eyes, radiating vitality.

Seeing that Wei Xiyin didn't answer, the young man looked anxious, "We agreed that as long as the information I provided was accurate, I would be given two bags of food."

Wei Xiyin blinked, ready to tease him, "What if I don't give it to you?"

The young man's face turned pale when he heard this.

Indeed, they are numerous and have strong soldiers and generals, so there is no way for him to regret it.

"Okay, I was just teasing you." Seeing his pitiful look, Wei Xiyin couldn't bear it anymore. She turned around and ordered the guards, "Get him two bags of food."

The boy finally breathed a sigh of relief.

This story begins when they were preparing to leave Changlan Village.
