Chapter 4 The Real and Fake Princes Fight Each Other

Jiang Jinyan still remembers this incident. Although the princes and nobles present that day were joking, they were sensible in their hearts and would not spread the news. How did Jiang Xiancao, who had been staying in the backyard of the Wen Ning Marquis's Mansion, know about it?

Seeing that Jiang Jinyan had listened to him for a while, Shen Tingsi calmed down and said:

"Last month, I invited you brothers to the Tianxian Pavilion to watch the courtesan Yao Niang's colorful dance. The second young master got drunk and mistook you, the eldest young master, for his lover. He grabbed you and kissed you fiercely. You, a scholar, couldn't stand up to him, a warrior. It was only my guards who helped you and prevented you from being knocked down by him..."

"Shut up!"

Jiang Jinyan hurriedly stopped Shen Tingsi from continuing, he couldn't help but secretly look at Jiang Jinxing, both of them had shock in their eyes.

The Wen Ning Marquis's mansion had strict rules and never allowed their children to go to places of entertainment. Therefore, when the brothers went to brothels, they acted like thieves, and only asked the coachman to take them to a deserted alley nearby. They did not even bring their personal servants with them.

The scandal that happened in Tianxian Pavilion that day was a strictly guarded secret between the two parties, and there was no possibility of outsiders knowing it. However, it happened to be revealed by the mouth of "Jiang Xiancao".

Jiang Xiancao saw their expressions, but he smiled calmly and said:

"Second Miss Jiang, your ability to lie is getting better and better. You even made up a story about your own brother. Today you said they were on a blind date, and tomorrow you're going to make up a story about incest."

Shen Tingsi sneered and hit back:

"Whether this prince is making things up or not, the young masters of the Jiang family know it very well."

He turned to look at Jiang Jinyan, his gloomy tone filled with the usual authority of a superior, "This Ninth Prince before you is just a shameless imposter who has occupied my body. I can tell you more secrets that only I know, and these can prove that I am not lying!"

Jiang Jinyan didn't say anything immediately. He turned his head to look at Jiang Xiancao who was watching calmly. A hint of suspicion flashed in his eyes. After a pause, he bowed to her.

"My sister is so crazy, Your Highness, I'm sorry to have embarrassed you. Please go back to the guest room and rest for a while. I will apologize to Your Highness after I have carefully disciplined her..."

Before he could finish counting, Jiang Xiancao sneered, "Young Master, are you trying to get me out? Do you want to discipline your crazy sister, or do you really believe her words and want to take advantage of my absence to listen to her secrets?"

Jiang Jinyan's handsome face flushed, and he racked his brains to think of something to say to make amends, but he heard Jiang Xiancao say calmly:

"The two things Miss Jiang Er just mentioned, Zhu Er told me about them when I was a guest at the Marquis' Mansion before."

She glanced at Jiang Huaizhu, who was still lying on the ground bleeding, and the sarcastic smile on her lips was meaningful. "At that time, this prince and Zhu'er were chatting and drinking tea in the flower hall in the front yard. Zhu'er first took the initiative to talk about the scandal of Prime Minister Su's eldest son keeping a concubine but being scolded by his wife. She asked this prince if he would also cheat on his wife behind his back if he got married in the future. Naturally, the prince told her not to worry and asked how she knew about this. She said she heard it from the second young master."

Jiang Huaizhu's pale cheeks turned slightly red. For some reason, she felt that there was a bitter sarcasm in the Ninth Prince's tone when he mentioned her.

It was as if she was no longer the pure white moonlight in his eyes, but just a shallow and superficial woman who liked to gossip about other people's private affairs.

This strange feeling made her heart tighten. The wound, which originally didn't hurt much, cracked a little, and her face finally showed some real pain.

Jiang Xiancao continued:

"As for the misunderstanding that occurred between your two brothers in Tianxian Pavilion, Zhu'er also mentioned it. She begged me not to tell anyone about it, otherwise her brothers' reputation for chastity would be jeopardized. When the Japanese king left the flower hall, he caught a glimpse of a blue-white skirt behind the rockery. I originally thought it was just a passing maid, but now I remember that you, Miss Jiang, have worn a skirt of the same color."

That day, her adoptive parents came to the Marquis's Mansion to find her and asked her for money, using the incident of her being harassed by a male guest when she was with them in the past. They threatened that if she didn't give them money, they would tell everything about it.

In order to preserve her reputation, she could only secretly take the monthly allowance she had saved with great difficulty and slip out of the backyard. However, when she was passing through the flower hall in the front yard, she accidentally ran into Shen Tingsi and Jiang Huaizhu having a secret meeting. In order to avoid being discovered by them, she had to hide behind the rockery and accidentally heard their conversation at that time.

Shen Tingsi's expression changed drastically, and he understood something in an instant:

"Jiang Xiancao, it's you!"

Jiang Xiancao looked down at him condescendingly, his smile unwavering. "Second Miss Jiang, a chicken like you shouldn't dream of pretending to be a phoenix. That day, you hid behind the rockery and eavesdropped on the conversation between the king and your sister, and only then learned those two things. Now you use these as proof that you have been possessed by the king. How ridiculous."

After saying that, she slowly glanced at Jiang Huaizhu.

Jiang Huaizhu nodded immediately, "My five brothers, Zhu'er told His Majesty all this that day, and His Majesty did indeed see someone hiding behind the rockery. He wanted to investigate that person's identity, but it was Zhu'er who advised him not to waste time on such trivial matters. If I had known that my sister had such intentions, I would not have stopped His Majesty."

With the testimony of his trusted elder sister, Jiang Jinyan looked at Shen Tingsi with a cold look in his eyes. He said with disgust, "You lawless bitch, you have brought shame to the Jiang family!"

Seeing that his painstaking self-proof was easily overturned by Jiang Xiancao, Shen Tingsi was so angry that his whole body was shaking, but he could do nothing about her who was lying with her eyes open.

He finally understood the feeling of knowing the truth but having to allow others to distort the truth.

Seeing the servant beside him taking a dirty rag and about to stuff it into his mouth, he decided to make a last-ditch effort and said in a deep voice:
