Tang Yuan looked at her and answered seriously:
"When I was a servant, I once had chilblains on my hands and didn't wash a piece of clothing properly. The nurse slapped me in the yard and fined me my monthly salary. The young lady happened to pass by and saw it. She told the nurse to stop and the matter was dropped.
The nanny said that we must not break the rules and disobey the young lady, and we must be fined. The young lady said that the fine should be deducted from her money, and she was not allowed to be so harsh to us servants in the future.
Because of this incident, the young lady offended the nanny. The nanny had served the lady before, and she went to the lady to complain about the young lady. After that, the lady was asked to copy the house rules several times.
But I remember the young lady's kindness in my heart. I know that the young lady who is so kind to the servants must be a very good person. If everyone else leaves and I don't stay, the young lady will be alone. What should she do?
Jiang Xiancao listened to these words silently, not knowing what he felt in his heart.
It turned out that Tangyuan remembered her kindness because of this little thing that she herself didn't even remember.
In order to gain family affection, she gave so much to the Jiang family, but they didn't remember a single thing. Not only did they not remember her kindness, but they also pushed her to the brink of death time and time again for Jiang Huaizhu.
The difference between humans and animals is really that big.
When they arrived at the Marquis Wen Ning's Mansion, Jiang Xiancao asked Tinglan and several guards to clear the way. The doorman wanted to stop them, but was swept to the ground by the guard's scabbard.
The ancestral hall of the marquis's mansion was in the front yard. Jiang Xiancao used to go there to be punished. She quickly brought her guards to the outside of the ancestral hall.
Jiang Jinxing, who rushed over after hearing the news, stopped in front of her and looked at her as if she were the murderer of her father:
"It's not enough that you sent Zhu'er to the imperial prison. Now you're trespassing into the Marquis's residence. What exactly do you want to do?"
Jiang Xiancao sneered and said indifferently:
"Of course I came to see how you lynched your own sister."
When Jiang Jinxing heard that she came for "Jiang Xiancao", his eyes fell on Tangyuan, and his fierce eyes seemed as if he wanted to cut Tangyuan into pieces.
"So it was you, this lowly traitor, who sneaked out to report the news! Looking at your humble and submissive appearance as you crouched behind the Ninth Prince, could it be that you, like your master, have been secretly colluding with the Ninth Prince for a long time?"
Calling a woman a lowly and shameless person for having committed adultery before marriage is the most humiliating way to deal with her.
Tang Yuan blushed with shame, "Second Master, please don't talk nonsense! Neither I nor the young lady have done anything to tarnish our reputation!"
"Who would believe that? Everyone knows what kind of person the Ninth Prince is. You haven't given him any good things, so how could he protect you like this?"
Jiang Jinxing was also furious. He completely disregarded his dignity as a young master from an aristocratic family and spoke more vulgarly than the last. "I think you are just two bastards. It is a misfortune for the Wen Ning Marquis's Mansion to have produced scum like you!"
When Jiang Xiancao heard this, all his patience was exhausted.
She ordered Tinglan in a cold voice:
"Second Young Master Jiang is spreading rumors about the royal family and accusing me of having an affair with an unmarried woman. Slap him!"
Tinglan stepped forward immediately. Jiang Jinxing widened his eyes and shouted, "I am the son of a marquis," but Tinglan had already drawn his knife and attacked him.
Although Jiang Jinxing knew some martial arts, he was fighting with a top knife expert like Ting Lan with his bare hands, and within a few moves, Ting Lan put the knife to his neck.
Ting Lan looked down at him, cold and ruthless:
“Kneel down!”
This time it was Jiang Jinxing's turn to blush. He refused to kneel, shouting, "Kill me if you dare!"
Jiang Xiancao walked forward and kicked him hard on the knee.
Jiang Jinxing was forced to kneel on the ground with his legs bent. He raised his eyes and looked at Jiang Xiancao, his eyes full of bloodthirsty hatred.
"Slap him until he apologizes to Miss Tangyuan."
As Jiang Xiancao gave the order, another guard stepped forward and raised his hand to slap Jiang Jinxing in the face.
At this time, Jiang Jinyan heard some bad noise outside and finally came out.
Seeing his second brother being pinned to the ground and slapped, he shouted angrily, "Stop it now, or I will go to the emperor and sue you for abusing your power and humiliating the children of aristocratic families!"
Jiang Xiancao put his hands behind his back and looked at him coldly:
"Young Master Jiang wants to go before the Emperor. I won't stop him because I have something to report to my father. We can just confront each other in front of the Emperor."
"Confrontation? What's there to confront? You're clearly relying on your status as a prince to bully others!" Jiang Jinyan roared, "What on earth did our Jiang family do to offend you? It's not enough that you've harmed Zhu'er to this extent, but you still want to insult my brother like this?!"
Jiang Xiancao listened to his words that distorted right and wrong, and her heart was no longer moved.
Her feelings towards Jiang Jinyan and others were no longer hatred, but complete disappointment.
This kind of disappointment is not treating them as human beings.
A person can complain to his enemy, but he cannot say anything to a mad dog.
So Jiang Xiancao ignored him and just let the guards continue to slap Jiang Jinxing in the face.
She wanted to use this simple and rough method of training a dog to let Jiang Jinxing know that if he spoke rudely in front of her, he would be beaten.
Jiang Jinyan wanted to go up and stop him, but Jiang Xiancao rudely ordered the guards to restrain him as well, making him kneel on the ground and watch Jiang Jinxing being punished.
Jiang Jinxing refused to admit that he was wrong and apologize to those he offended until he was beaten unconscious.
He thought he was being courageous, but Jiang Xiancao looked at him with disdain and kicked him aside:
"Don't stand in my way."
Then, without even looking at the shocked Jiang Jinyan, she led people into the ancestral hall.
