Chapter 116 Giant Python

"This isn't water! It's blood!"

Wang Lan immediately said, and feeling the temperature of the liquid, he continued, "The blood is still warm, so it seems he hasn't been dead for long."

Sun Muchen quickly made a shushing gesture and covered Wang Lan's mouth with his other hand.

Wang Lan, however, was confused and slapped Sun Muchen's hand away, saying, "Why are you covering my mouth?"

"oops!"

Sun Muchen shouted.

The next moment, Wang Lan heard a whooshing sound. He subconsciously looked in the direction of the sound and saw a thick, giant python slowly raising its head not far from them, illuminated by the blue light released by Sun Muchen.

The snake's head disappeared into the darkness, its head scraping against the tree branches and leaves with a rustling sound.

The brother and sister held their breath for a moment.

The python before them was much larger than the one they had hunted with the hunters in the safe zone. The patterns on its body below its head were also much denser, and at first glance, it seemed as if there were colorful scales on the patterns, reflecting different colors under the blue light.

Sun Muchen swallowed hard.

Wang Lan held her hand and said, "Don't worry, this python might not be that strong!"

"???"

Sun Muchen looked astonished. "Brother, where do you get your confidence from?"

As soon as he finished speaking, the sound of the python flicking its tongue rang out, the hissing sound was particularly piercing. Sun Muchen quickly waved his hand and sent out two beams of light, which enveloped Wang Lan and his own ears, but the sound did not diminish at all when it reached their ears.

In that deep darkness, two eerie green lights shone through, flickering in the blue light, making them appear even more strange and terrifying.

The snake's head swooped down, bringing a gust of wind with it.

The smell of blood suddenly became so strong it was pungent.

Wang Lan picked up Sun Muchen and ran away.

"Hey, why are you carrying me again?!"

Sun Muchen's head hovered around Wang Lan's waist as he shouted.

Ignoring everything else, Wang Lan ran quickly back the way she came.

The snake's head slammed into the ground.

In an instant, the earth collapsed, trees broke, and timber snapped.

The thunderous impacts were deafening. The soil on the ground seemed to have been bombarded by artillery shells, flying forward and hitting Wang Lan's back, but even more of it hit Sun Muchen's back.

"Ah! Brother!"

Sun Muchen screamed in pain, "Put me down right now! It hurts so much!"

Wang Lan then realized that he had inadvertently used Sun Muchen as a shield, so he quickly put Sun Muchen down and the two of them ran away together.

"It's all your fault, brother!"

As Sun Muchen ran, he said, "I told you to keep quiet, but you insisted on making a sound. Now look what happened, you've attracted its attention!"

"I?"

Wang Lan was about to retort when she suddenly remembered that Sun Muchen had just covered her mouth and made a shushing gesture, and she suddenly realized what was going on.

He said, "Oh dear, I didn't even realize it just now! But how did you know there would be a python?"

"Of course I don't know!" Sun Muchen said, "You saw it yourself, the blood was flowing like a river, there must have been some animal that died nearby not long ago, and the blood was still warm, shouldn't we be careful?"

"Ouch!" Wang Lan smacked her forehead. "It's all my fault for being careless!"

As he spoke, a series of rumbling sounds followed from behind. Wang Lan glanced back and saw the giant python rampaging through the forest, its tough skin weaving unstoppable. The thick trees seemed utterly vulnerable to the python's onslaught, offering no resistance whatsoever. In fact, the python's speed only increased.

"Damn it!"

Wang Lan said angrily, "This python's body is simply too powerful; we can't possibly contend with it!"

"I'll shoot it with an arrow first!"

As Sun Muchen spoke, he suddenly turned around, the arrow was nocked, the longbow was fully drawn, and the explosive arrow was shot out.

"boom!"

The arrow struck the snake's head precisely, sending sparks flying. But the python only hissed once, and the gust of wind generated by its high speed extinguished the flames on its head in an instant.

The explosive arrows had absolutely no effect!

This only further enraged the python. The brother and sister felt the sound of wind and thunder in their ears, and then they heard a violent sound of wind breaking above their heads. The light between Sun Muchen's fingers suddenly lit up.

Taking advantage of the light, Wang Lan looked up and saw a huge phantom emerging from the darkness above. Then, countless patterns and veins became clearer and clearer, and blue light reflected in his vision. To Wang Lan's surprise, it turned out to be the huge tail of a python sweeping over.

This python can attack with its head and tail at the same time!

Wang Lan grabbed Sun Muchen's hand and pulled him into her arms. She leaped high into the air, and the python's giant tail crashed down, smashing the trees below to pieces. Wang Lan felt the gale generated by the falling tail, which whipped up tree branches and debris that rained down on her. Wang Lan immediately felt a sharp pain all over her body.

The giant tail slammed into the ground!

The terrifying tremor felt like an earthquake to Wang Lan, sending him flying and crashing into a tree.

The brother and sister fell to the ground.

Sun Muchen helped Wang Lan up and hurriedly asked, "Brother, how are you?"

"Don't speak, run!"
