Chapter 117 Misfortunes Never Come Singly

How could the explosive arrow shoot out a rope?

The brother and sister were immediately filled with questions. They had only intended to bombard the python's eyes with explosive arrows, even though they both knew it wouldn't harm the python. At the very least, it would temporarily obscure the python's vision, giving them enough time.

But to everyone's surprise, the exploding arrow didn't explode; instead, a rope appeared.

Wang Lan could clearly see that one end of the rope was tightly fastened to the bow arm, and he figured that the "crack" sound he had just heard came from there.

The other end of the arrow struck the python precisely in the eye.

The hissing sound suddenly turned into an angry roar, and the huge snake head began to shake violently. But Sun Muchen still held tightly to the longbow, and so she was carried away by the python.

Wang Lan was extremely anxious and quickly shouted, "Mu Chen, hold on tight to the longbow!"

Sun Muchen, who was already halfway up the air, heard the howling wind in her ears. Even without Wang Lan's reminder, she knew that she had to hold on to the longbow tightly. Otherwise, if she lost her grip and was thrown off by the python, she would definitely be smashed into a pile of minced meat on the ground.

But Sun Muchen had much more to do than that. The python's head was shaking wildly, causing Sun Muchen to fly around in mid-air. He needed to use his skills to scatter the branches and leaves around him so that he wouldn't get hurt.

On the ground, Wang Lan was also extremely anxious, like an ant on a hot pan. Visibility was already poor in the darkness, and he had neither the energy detection skills of Sun Muchen nor night vision goggles to assist him. He could only rely on his agility and the experience he had accumulated from hunting, along with searching for the blue light released by Sun Muchen in the night.

Wang Lan moved swiftly through the woods, constantly waving his Vajra Umbrella, splitting tree branches in his path in two, then leaping up, landing on tree trunks, and jumping again.

The python's huge, thick tail swept across, snapping the surrounding trees in half, displaying its immense power.

This greatly increased the difficulty for Wang Lan in rescuing Sun Muchen. He was extremely anxious at this moment, but just then, he suddenly heard Sun Muchen scream in mid-air.

"elder brother--"

The sound seemed to pierce through Wang Lan's body, like a heavy hammer striking Wang Lan's heart.

Wang Lan's eyes turned red in an instant, and he felt his blood boiling in that moment.

He leaped up suddenly, landing on a tree branch. The muscles in his calves were taut and hard as steel. The terrifying force crushed the branch beneath his feet, and Wang Lan jumped out, passing through the cover of the trees and leaves, soaring above the forest.

In the darkness, beneath the vast sky.

The blue light emanating from Sun Muchen shone brightly.

Wang Lan saw the figure fly out from mid-air. It was because the python's head kept shaking that the arrow stuck in its eye was flung out, and Sun Muchen was also flung away helplessly.

"Mu Chen!"

Wang Lan shouted anxiously, and the instant his body landed on the branch again, he pushed off with his feet, and with a loud "boom," his figure swooped down.

Wang Lan was unaware that at this moment, she had unleashed energy comparable to "rage"!

The Vajra Umbrella leads the way, unstoppable.

Enveloped in a blue light, Sun Muchen appeared as if she were a falling meteor. The blue light around her grew even brighter, illuminating the entire forest in a blue glow.

The intense energy surged, and the blue light enveloping Sun Muchen seemed to be filled with rage. Every tree branch and leaf it touched was reduced to dust, and she fell into the forest.

Wang Lan was running at full speed, and wherever she passed, it seemed as if fierce gusts of wind were being whipped up, rushing towards the continuously falling Sun Muchen.

Just as Sun Muchen was about to land, Wang Lan rushed in front of her and hugged her!

But the other two rushed out quickly, and Wang Lan, carrying Sun Muchen, fell to the ground in the forest, rolling several meters before stopping.

The blue light receded and returned entirely to Sun Muchen's body.

"Mu Chen!"

The first thing Wang Lan did after stopping was to keep calling out Sun Muchen's name.

But Sun Muchen remained motionless and silent in his arms.

Wang Lan was extremely anxious, but the night was too dark, and without Sun Muchen's skills to provide light, he couldn't see Sun Muchen's face at all. He could only call out Sun Muchen's name again and again, while constantly shaking Sun Muchen's body.

The next moment, a blue light suddenly shone from the darkness in his arms.

Then, a blue light spread out and enveloped Sun Muchen's body. Wang Lan just watched Sun Muchen lying there peacefully, then took a deep breath and opened her eyes.

"Mu Chen!" Wang Lan's heart finally settled down, and he excitedly called out Sun Mu Chen's name.

"elder brother?"

After a brief moment of shock, Sun Muchen snapped out of his daze.

"elder brother!"

"Get out of the way!"

The blue light suddenly brightened, and Wang Lan immediately came to her senses, moving aside with Sun Muchen to dodge.

And on a branch in the forest, the python's tail fell down.

It came howling in with a strong wind and crashed heavily into the ground.

With a wave of his hand, Sun Muchen's blue light became incredibly excited, like boiling water. As he moved, the light rapidly flowed out, traveling along the giant python's tail.

Then Sun Muchen waved his hand again.

The longbow and quiver were then brought back enveloped in blue light.

"Find a way to leave!"

Wang Lan took the longbow and quiver and carried them on his back.

Sun Muchen nodded.

But then a thunderous explosion was heard, and the pain in his eyes had clearly aroused the python's cold-blooded bestial nature. He moved his head and tail in unison, smashing down repeatedly, as if he wanted to level the entire forest.

Wang Lan and Sun Muchen could only run away with their heads in their hands.

This python was far too powerful for them; they could only barely survive under its relentless attacks.

However, at that moment...

The ground suddenly began to tremble violently, as if an earthquake had occurred.

The brother and sister were stunned for a moment, remembering the huge waves of mud they had experienced during the day.

Sun Muchen gestured with his hands, and the blue light became increasingly dazzling, continuously illuminating the surroundings.

Sure enough, ahead of the rumbling sound, a deep darkness surged forth, like a black hole, threatening to devour everything!

Misfortunes never come singly...

The thought couldn't help but pop into the minds of the brother and sister.

And the light emanating from Sun Muchen grew brighter and brighter.

They suddenly realized that the python's massive tail was slamming down hard onto the surging waves of earth.
