Chapter 125 The World Has Changed

How could she swallow this insult? So she immediately retaliated, splashing water at Wang Lan with her hands.

Seeing this, Wang Lan retaliated again.

So the brother and sister went back and forth, having a great time.

But Wang Lan had the upper hand. He plunged his hands into the water and stirred it vigorously, creating waves on the surface. With a shout, Wang Lan continued stirring the water with increasing force, and two small whirlpools quickly appeared around him. He then swung the water at Sun Muchen, and the water in the whirlpools slammed into Sun Muchen like cannonballs.

They all made a loud "boom" sound!

Sun Muchen was immediately drenched and looked utterly disheveled.

She rubbed her face and glared fiercely at Wang Lan, "Brother, you've gone too far!"

"Hahaha!" Wang Lan was still immersed in victory and laughed loudly, but unexpectedly, a blue light suddenly burst forth from Sun Muchen's body.

Wang Lan's laughter stopped abruptly.

He suddenly sensed a dangerous aura!

The light emanating from Sun Muchen grew brighter and brighter, turning the water in the pool a deep blue. Then, the light gathered, and several blue whirlwinds appeared behind Sun Muchen, swirling the water in the pool upwards and transforming into several water tornadoes.

Wang Lan: "Σ(????)?"

"Wait, wait, Mu Chen, listen to me!"

"Shut up!"

With a loud shout, Sun Muchen waved his hands, and a waterspout roared and swept towards Wang Lan.

Wang Lan: "!!!"

After a long time...

shore…

Wang Lan lay on the ground, looking disheveled, his face deathly pale, coughing occasionally, and spitting out some dirty water...

"Uh..." Sun Muchen looked apologetic, yet seemed to be suppressing a laugh, "Brother, I'm sorry..."

Wang Lan: "Pfft...cough cough cough..."

Sun Muchen suppressed a laugh…

A long time passed.

Wang Lan finally spat out the water in his mouth. He lay there for a while before feeling much better, but his stomach was completely empty. Turning to look at Sun Muchen, he said weakly, "You...you, you can't take a joke..."

Sun Muchen: "Brother... Pfft hahaha... I can't hold it in anymore, hahaha!"

Wang Lan: "..."

Utter defeat!

...

I'm hungry!

Wang Lan leaned against a tree and said.

Sun Muchen was also sitting to one side, looking at the scenery around her.

The waterfall plunges into a wide pool, eventually transforming into a long river that flows downstream.

On both sides stand tall trees, lush and verdant, with abundant weeds, upright and resilient.

Hearing Wang Lan speak, she turned her head and said, "Are you hungry so soon?"

"Pah!" Wang Lan spat and said, "What do you mean you're hungry so soon? Putting aside how long we've been sleeping, even though you made me throw up for ages, I should be hungry by now."

As she spoke, Wang Lan stood up.

He looked at Sun Muchen and said, "You wait here, I'll go hunting and see if I can find anything to eat."

"No, no," Sun Muchen quickly stopped him, saying, "The last hunting trip was too dangerous, I don't think we should go again. There are fish in this trap, wouldn't it be better to catch some fish to eat?"

Wang Lan shrugged, "But we can't swim!"

Sun Muchen was taken aback. "Why do I need to know how to swim?"

As soon as she finished speaking, she waved her hand and sent beams of blue light into the pool. The pool immediately seemed to boil. A moment later, the blue light returned, carrying large fish that were slammed heavily against the trees and died, landing beside the two of them.

Sun Muchen pointed, "Aren't these all fish?"

Wang Lan chuckled awkwardly and clapped, "Hehehe... Awesome!"

So Wang Lan began to use the Vajra Umbrella to gut the fish, while Sun Muchen, seeing that there was no way to start a fire, simply took out an explosive arrow, aimed at a tree, and shot it.

The arrow exploded the moment it hit the tree, setting the branches and leaves ablaze.

Wang Lan turned around when she heard the sound, and felt a pang of heartache.

But at this moment, nestled against the mountains and beside the water, with its clear waters and lush mountains, and with plump fish in hand and plenty of water, the two of them felt refreshed and clean after washing in the pool, which unconsciously improved their mood considerably.

Wang Lan simply said, "You're wasting your time!"

He didn't say anything more.

The two men set up their arrows and arranged the large fish. Soon, the aroma filled the air.

The brother and sister devoured the fish with gusto, finishing off the entire collection in no time.

And just to be on the safe side, and just in case, Sun Muchen scooped out a few more fish from the pool.

Wang Lan grilled and dried the fish, then stuffed them all into his quiver.

"Brother!" Sun Muchen exclaimed in disgust, "You've tainted my arrow!"

"Otherwise, we have nowhere to put them! Just bear with it, these are our reserve supplies, they could save lives if necessary!"

As Wang Lan spoke, she pushed it in even harder.

Then Sun Muchen became even more disgusted...

After the two had eaten and drunk their fill and rested for a while, they prepared to set off again.

With the river as a landmark, their journey became much easier. At least they no longer had to worry about getting lost; they just needed to follow the river and they would surely find their way out of the forest.

Even if they had to travel for a few more days, it wouldn't matter. The two of them could rely on water for drinking, and since there were fish in the water, they could solve their food and drink problems.

At the same time, the two of them also harbored a sliver of hope.

The hope is that after following this river out of the forest, one might encounter some surviving humans.

The two continued walking along the river.
