Chapter 136 Turbulence

The tree's voice quickly turned into one of unbearable pain, and its body trembled even more violently.

Sun Muchen quickly released blue energy that flowed upwards into the sky, and at that moment, several loud booming sounds rang out from the dark clouds.

"Damn it!"

The tree spoke in pain, while the vines that had fallen below coiled back towards the sky, leaving only the one Wang Lan and the others were standing on.

The loud noises from the dark clouds grew louder and louder, appearing one after another.

Wang Lan was also confused and extremely anxious. "What exactly is it?"

As the blue light receded, Sun Muchen exclaimed in surprise, "It's not thunder and lightning, it's a very dense and powerful energy body that seems to be constantly attacking the tree through self-destruction!"

As soon as Sun Muchen finished speaking, the brother and sister noticed that countless large, tattered, and irregularly shaped leaves, as well as broken tree branches, suddenly drifted down from the dark clouds.

The tree could no longer speak, only let out painful groans.

What exactly happened up there?

Wang Lan frowned immediately, picked up the Vajra Umbrella and said, "Mu Chen, you wait here, I'll go take a look!"

"Wait, bro, how are you going to get up there?"

As Sun Muchen was speaking, Wang Lan had already run up the vines.

Wang Lan knew that they and the tree were in the same boat; without the tree, they would not be able to survive in this vast ocean. So, if anything happened, he would help them if he could.

What Wang Lan didn't expect was that the situation in the sea would be so terrifying. The tree's strength was formidable on land, but since entering the sea, it seemed to be constantly suppressed by the ever-changing circumstances.

Whether it was the initial tsunami, the appearance of the deep-sea aliens, or the typhoon that just occurred, Tree is clearly helpless until now.

This sea voyage is truly fraught with peril!

Wang Lan had already activated the upgraded "Swift Movement" skill after "Ghost Step," and with his full-speed running, his speed could be described as lightning fast.

He could even feel the dark clouds on the horizon were close at hand, and after eating the red fruit given by the tree, he had completely overcome the lack of oxygen at high altitude.

Wang Lan followed the vines and rushed into the dense dark clouds.

Suddenly, the vision became extremely dark.

But this was the first time he had ever seen the branches and leaves of a tree.

The emerald green is gone, replaced by dark green leaves that stretch far into the distance, each leaf measuring tens of meters in length and width, truly a lush and verdant landscape.

Wang Lan, standing amidst it all, felt as insignificant as a tiny insect.

But Wang Lan had no time to appreciate the spectacular scenery. He listened to the sound of the explosion, looked around, and immediately locked onto the direction of the explosion. He looked closely.

The distance is still very far.

But the shockwave from the explosion is clearly visible!

Take advantage of the fact that the "Swiftness" skill has not yet expired.

Wang Lan sped up and ran in that direction.

The vines had already wandered off into who-knows-where, so Wang Lan moved and hopped among the leaves. He hadn't expected the leaves to be so hard; when he landed on them, it felt like he was stepping on the ground.

The sound of the explosion was getting closer and closer.

For some inexplicable reason, Wang Lan couldn't see what caused the explosion, but as she got closer, she saw that the impact range of the explosion was actually quite wide.

Wang Lan ran forward as fast as she could.

His figure darted swiftly among the leaves. As he landed on a leaf, he suddenly heard a loud explosion, which immediately caused a sharp pain in his ears.

The next moment, a powerful shockwave erupted. Wang Lan was caught off guard and was thrown out by the impact, landing on the edge of a leaf.

Wang Lan's mind went blank. He didn't know what had happened, but after falling to the edge of the leaves, he couldn't grab anything with his hands and rolled down. Terrified, Wang Lan turned pale and flailed his Vajra Umbrella wildly, but because he used too much force, he broke off the leaves. He continued to fall among the branches and leaves.

It wasn't until it had fallen several tens of meters that Wang Lan's Vajra Umbrella, by sheer coincidence, struck the stem of a leaf and came to a stop.

However, the explosions had become so numerous that chaos reigned.

He could see the blast waves coming one after another, relentlessly, and the branches and leaves of the trees were shattered and torn to pieces.

But strangely, he just couldn't see what caused the explosion.

Wang Lan was furious. He couldn't believe that the explosion would come out of nowhere; otherwise, it would be too mystical. At the same time, he regretted not calling Sun Muchen along. Her blue energy could have easily pinpointed the location of the explosion.

But then I thought about it again. The explosion was so bizarre and terrifying, and so powerful. Sun Muchen's absence meant that he had escaped a disaster.

Just as Wang Lan was thinking this, he vaguely saw something out of the corner of his eye. He immediately turned his head to look, only to find that there was nothing in front of him.

But he seemed to have a premonition.

So he squinted and looked closely.

But what he didn't look at was that a transparent object appeared in front of him, with an extremely strange appearance.

The thing looked like an inverted bowl, with countless thin tentacles extending out of it, swaying and shaking incessantly. The inverted bowl kept tumbling upwards as it opened and closed.
