Chapter 137 Undersea

This towering wave carried boundless pressure and an aura of world destruction.

The brother and sister immediately held their breath, feeling as if a mountain was pressing down on them. The terrifying scene filled them with despair, and they were too afraid to move.

A giant wave rushed toward the two of them.

The two of them shuddered violently!

I woke up with a start!

"Mu Chen!"

Wang Lan shouted and immediately grabbed Sun Muchen's hand, pulling him towards herself.

Amidst the enormous roar of the sea monster.

A giant wave crashed down, smashing into the two of them.

The terrifying feeling of suffocation instantly left their minds blank, a deep despair welling up inside them, accompanied by excruciating pain from the crashing waves.

Wang Lan held onto Sun Muchen's hand tightly. Despite the waves crashing against him from all sides, he gritted his teeth and held onto Sun Muchen's hand firmly, not daring to let go for even a moment.

The seawater enveloped the brother and sister.

Like disgusting insects, they were constantly eroding their nerves and will.

Suddenly, a huge, elongated phantom appeared in front of them.

It was a thick, long tentacle, seemingly covered with eyes, waving incessantly in the sea.

The seawater, stirred by the tentacles, churned even more violently.

The brother and sister felt an immense, boundless force suddenly surging from all directions. The seawater crashed against them even more fiercely, and from the surface of the sea, a violent and majestic force crashed down.

The two people were suddenly pushed downwards by the impact.

Wang Lan screamed in pain, but as soon as he opened his mouth, seawater rushed in, causing him to feel a tearing pain in his heart and lungs. He could no longer muster any strength and his grip on Sun Muchen's hand loosened.

Seeing this, Sun Muchen immediately brought her hands together in front of her chest, but the resistance of the seawater made it extremely difficult for her to use her skills. Even the blue light energy flashing in her hands seemed to be about to go out at any moment.

She had already seen Wang Lan close her eyes and being swept away from her by the sea.

In a short while, Sun Muchen felt extremely anxious.

The light in his hands shone brightly for a moment, reflecting the blue of the sea.

The blue energy broke through the seawater's restraints and surged towards Wang Lan, landing on him.

With a "buzz" sound!

Suddenly, countless bubbles of varying sizes appeared around Wang Lan. These were the seawater being pushed apart by Sun Muchen's skill. Then, Sun Muchen made a grasping motion, and at the same time, a layer of seemingly tangible blue light condensed on Wang Lan's body, carrying Wang Lan towards Sun Muchen.

At this moment, Sun Muchen's body was trembling violently.

The prolonged breath-holding and skill release had already taken a toll on her body.

When Wang Lan returned to his side, Sun Muchen almost failed to catch her.

However, Sun Muchen still held Wang Lan's hand tightly, just as Wang Lan had held hers.

Blue light shone in their palms.

It then spread out, pushing aside the seawater surrounding the two, forming a blue spherical barrier that resisted the impact of the seawater on them.

Sun Muchen landed at the bottom of the barrier.

Wang Lan also landed.

Wang Lan, however, fell into a coma, her face completely pale.

Sun Muchen took a deep breath. Although she was exhausted and pale, she still waved her hands, unleashing blue light, and slammed them down on Wang Lan's chest.

A blue light suddenly spread out at the point of impact.

"ah!"

Wang Lan suddenly woke up with a start and vomited incessantly with a "waaaa!" Seawater sprayed from his nose and mouth. Wang Lan coughed for a while before he finally vomited up all the seawater in his stomach.

He opened his eyes and saw Sun Muchen sitting beside him.

"We are here..."

“We’re in the sea,” Sun Muchen said weakly, while blue light flickered between her hands, constantly channeling energy into the erected barrier.

"Into the sea!" Wang Lan was shocked. Then he realized that the scene of the sea beast breaking the tree had caused a huge wave that had swept them into it.

"How are you?" Wang Lan looked at Sun Muchen and, seeing her pale face, asked with concern, "Does this barrier require you to keep supplying energy like this?"

“Yes…” Sun Muchen’s voice sounded weak and feeble. “There’s something wrong with this ocean. We’re sinking deeper and deeper, and the pressure we’re under is getting greater and greater. The enormous force created by that pressure is constantly squeezing my barrier. I need to keep providing energy to the barrier.”

But this can't go on!

Wang Lan immediately realized the problem. Although they were in the sea, he could feel them sinking continuously, even though the book said they should be rising.

The direct consequence of this sinking is as Sun Muchen said.

She needs to continuously increase the energy output to the barrier, but this puts an increasingly greater burden on Sun Muchen's body, and she simply cannot hold on for long.

Wang Lan stood up, but as soon as he moved, waves of intense pain shot through his body, indicating that the giant wave had caused him great damage.

But Wang Lan still forced herself to stand up and looked around.

The sea appeared pitch black at first glance, but it wasn't pure black; it was more like a hazy, chaotic darkness. Looking further into the distance, one could sense a profound darkness.

The sea was silent and empty.

Wang Lan suddenly felt a palpitation she had never felt before, as if she were in an endless abyss. Fear and anxiety overwhelmed her, and she could not control them.
