"I'm all better now, let's keep going!"
As Wang Lan spoke, she casually tossed away the dirty corner of her clothes, rubbed her nose, and walked forward.
Nan Chen glanced at his back and followed closely behind.
The two walked for an unknown distance, only to find that the surrounding yellow sand was becoming increasingly dense, and even obstructing their view.
As the two walked further and further away, the wind around them grew stronger and stronger, stirring up the sand and gravel on the ground.
At this moment, the sky was truly filled with a hazy yellow light, and the flying sand and stones felt faintly stinging when they hit my skin.
Wang Lan walked ahead, since his physical strength was much stronger than Nan Chen's, so he braved the wind and sand for Nan Chen and struggled forward. However, Wang Lan was also puzzled at this moment. There was only one patch of grass between the desert filled with yellow sand and the fertile green land with abundant grass and trees. Why did this patch of grass divide the two different areas? And the deeper into this yellow sand land, the more unbearable the conditions became.
Wang Lan touched the yellow sand on his face, only to find that the sand was piling up thicker and thicker. He dared not open his mouth, because if he did, the sand would blow straight into his mouth.
He looked up.
A fierce wind howled, whipping up the yellow sand and creating a hazy, swirling pattern that seemed to outline the shape of the wind itself, like a wild beast roaring and dancing wildly.
And not far away, where the wind was swirling, there seemed to be a figure sitting there.
Wang Lan was taken aback, unconsciously squinting her eyes to confirm carefully again and again, then turned around and patted Nan Chen.
Nan Chen looked up and saw Wang Lan pointing into the distance. She looked over and was stunned when she saw the figure.
The two exchanged glances, nodded to each other, and quickened their pace.
The distance between them was getting closer and closer, but the figure was also getting bigger and bigger in their eyes. They didn't know how many meters they had walked forward, but when they looked up, they suddenly felt that the figure was very tall and imposing. It seemed that the figure was sitting there, and it gave them a strange feeling of being as majestic as a small mountain.
Wang Lan turned around and grabbed Nan Chen's hand. This action made Nan Chen's body tremble. Then she saw a golden light flash on Wang Lan's body, and this golden light attached itself to her. Suddenly, a violent sense of dizziness appeared. In an instant, they had moved forward dozens of meters and were getting closer and closer to that burly figure.
The figure then sensed the disturbance behind it and moved slightly.
Wang Lan immediately called out to Nan Chen.
The two frowned and looked ahead.
The figure stood up, and the sand that had been falling on him fell away with his movement, then was blown away into the distance by the strong wind.
"Who...is it?"
A rough voice rang out, emanating from the enormous figure in front, yet a hint of excitement could be faintly detected within it.
Then the figure stood up completely.
Wang Lan and Nan Chen both shuddered.
Once the figure stood up completely, it was a colossal creature nearly five meters tall, and its thickness was uniform from top to bottom, making it look like a giant ball. It wore tattered clothes and shook off the sand that hadn't been blown away by the wind.
This is not human.
It's a monster!
The two suddenly realized the problem: how could a human be such a huge creature?
The two immediately made a move to turn and leave, but at the same time, the enormous creature spoke again.
"Human...hehehe...human!"
The deep, rough voice sounded like the voice of a demon, unconsciously giving them an inexplicable sense of oppression. As the behemoth turned around, it seemed that even the surrounding gale was blown more violently. As the two of them turned around, Nan Chen suddenly caught a strange sight out of the corner of his eye.
She saw the source of the stream, filled with yellow sand, which actually came from the feet of that enormous creature.
"haven't seen you for a long time!"
The colossal creature spoke again.
Immediately amidst the howling wind, a "whoosh" sound rang out.
Wang Lan and Nan Chen had just turned around when they suddenly felt a tightness around their waists. Wang Lan looked down and saw a huge, tongue-like thing wrapped around them and then pulled them backward.
All of this happened so fast that even Wang Lan hadn't had time to react before everything went black. Then, a warm feeling enveloped the two of them from all directions, while a foul stench assaulted their nostrils, almost making them vomit.
"Let's go!"
A muffled sound came from behind.
The next moment, the two were suddenly pushed backward by an inexplicable force, crashing heavily into a soft surface, which in fact emitted an even more foul odor.
The two of them couldn't hold back any longer.
The stench kept assaulting their nasal cavities, making them dizzy and on the verge of vomiting.
Just then, they heard a "whoosh".
The darkness was instantly dispelled, and a fiery red light appeared below. The two then plummeted towards that light.
"Bang!"
"Bang!"
The two landed on the ground one after the other. Before they could even look around, they suddenly felt a scorching heat coming from the ground below.
Wang Lan jumped up first, instinctively pulling Nan Chen to his feet as well. The next moment, they heard the enormous creature's surprised voice, "Holy crap, we came to the wrong place!"
Wang Lan was startled and was about to look up when a roar suddenly rang in his ears.
