Wang Lan and Sun Muchen leaped downwards, and when they saw the exit leading to the outside world, they landed at the bottom of the longest section of the cable.
Wang Lan immediately grabbed the cable.
Sun Muchen then wrapped his arms around Wang Lan's waist.
The two exerted their strength on the cable, causing it to jolt and then swing towards the exit. Wang Lan kept kicking his legs, trying to swing himself higher.
After several attempts, Wang Lan let go of Wang Lan's hand when the two swung to their highest point.
The brother and sister flew out, tracing an arc in the air before plummeting straight down toward the cave entrance.
Above the opening is a ladder.
The two landed inside the cave and saw a straight asphalt road, which was one of the several roads leading to the outside world.
While the two of them gained a foothold.
A deafening roar came from above.

Old Zhang lunged towards the reactor.
Despite his battered and broken body, compared to the small, sun-like reactor, he was like a firefly daring to rival the bright moon. Yet, when his body collided with the light that constantly swirled around the reactor, he still disrupted the entire reactor's operation.

The light flowing across the reactor surface disappeared because of Lao Zhang's impact.
Old Zhang's body then hurtled directly into the reactor.
The immense gravity tore Old Zhang's body apart, instantly turning him into a cloud of blood mist that exploded on the surface of the reactor, but he was immediately sucked into the reactor.
Old Zhang is dead…
And he died a very thorough death.
There wasn't even a skeleton left, as if he had never existed.
Immediately afterwards, the vanished stream of light reappeared, but this time it became extremely violent, spinning at an incredibly fast speed and even continuing to spread and extend outward.

As they were speaking, the brother and sister heard a sudden noise from above. They looked up and saw the glass floor supporting the core area shatter and then rush towards the center.
The steel plates that stabilized the glass floor were exposed, bending at an eerie angle as if they had been twisted off by a person, and then surged forward with the glass.
After all of that disappeared.
A giant fireball hovered in mid-air!
That's the reactor of the final fortress!
It truly shone like the sun, illuminating every corner and appearing in Wang Lan and Sun Muchen's sight!
"Aww—"
The various infected individuals below, locked in a chaotic battle, roared as they were drawn upwards by the reactor's gravity.
In an instant, the earth shook!
The darkness above the enormous fireball suddenly cracked open, and a beam of light shone in, shimmering with vibrant colors. Then, more and more cracks appeared, and even more colorful lights shot out from them. With a deafening roar, Wang Lan and Sun Muchen both trembled violently.
Above the fireball, a massive building crashed down, instantly filling the siblings' field of vision. The sheer size of the object sent chills down their spines, and they instinctively retreated.
The various infected individuals rising below were instantly crushed into a bloody pulp by the massive staircase, but the building continued to descend, with multicolored lights flashing from its exterior walls.
Although the building was falling quickly, it suddenly came to an abrupt halt, as if it had been suddenly stopped. However, it only paused for a second or two before continuing upwards.
The brother and sister understood each other perfectly.
It must be the reactor that's devouring this building.
"Let's go!"
Wang Lan hurriedly called Sun Muchen and turned to leave. He never expected that the gravity generated by the reactor would be so fierce. He couldn't even imagine whether they could escape alive.
A few meters after they ran, the asphalt road suddenly became bright.
