Chapter 104 The Power of Nature

Where the tail spikes extended, the ground suddenly bulged up, accompanied by eerie roars and howls. Wang Lan and Sun Muchen retreated repeatedly, but at this moment, strange roars also came from behind them.

The brother and sister turned around in surprise, only to see the great army of herpes beetles returning, cutting through the thorns and brambles in their path. On the trees, cockroaches and centipedes walked side by side, their black and yellow colors shuttling back and forth.

The brother and sister trembled and felt their scalps tingle.

As they turned around, the giant butterfly in the sky had already landed and pounced on the stick insect. The butterfly's legs kept peeling and tearing the stick insect's skin apart, which fell off like tree bark. Its huge mouthparts pierced directly into the stick insect's body.

The scorpion had already burst out of the ground, its two pincers incredibly sharp, clamping the stick insect on the ground in two and stuffing it into its mouth.

The spider came from afar, only to find cockroaches and centipedes advancing relentlessly, with other insects luring among them. The tempting food right in front of it made the spider abandon the rare treat from afar.

With a powerful leap from its eight legs, it sprang into the air, unleashing a dense and rapid spray of spider webs. However, instead of directly ensnaring the insects, the incredibly sharp webs pierced through their bodies, with one end sticking to a branch and suspending them.

But this also broke Pandora's box. When the spider silk pierced the cockroach's body, thick mucus gushed out, and the little cockroach rushed out with the mucus.

However, they clearly did not spot Wang Lan and Sun Muchen.

Upon first seeing this world, their immediate thought was to replenish their energy and eat. The cockroaches were numerous, climbing up the surrounding trees and nibbling on the tender green leaves.

A tree was eaten up in less than a minute.

This speed is visibly fast.

The brother and sister planned to leave as soon as possible. The chaotic battle in the forest was terrifying and outrageous. All sorts of strange cries and screams filled the air. The fighting between stick insects, butterflies, and scorpions caused the surrounding trees to break and the ground to crumble.

The brother and sister tried to hide in XZ, but every time they found a route, it would be destroyed by the insects. For a time, the two were like ants on a hot pan, running around in circles.

And their range of activities is gradually being shrunk.

Just when the brother and sister were at their wits' end, the earth trembled once again, and this time the tremor was far more intense than when the scorpion appeared; it truly felt like an earthquake.

The brother and sister quickly steadied themselves, but then a deafening rumble of thunder suddenly erupted. Wang Lan instinctively looked up at the sky, but Sun Muchen shouted, "Brother, look!"

Wang Lan turned her head to look.

In the distance, large trees were uprooted and pushed to both sides, while the ground beneath them churned like giant waves, accompanied by increasingly loud and deafening explosions, as the giant waves roared toward them.

The roars in the forest suddenly increased.

The roar was filled with fear and panic.

The butterfly, which was devouring the stick insect, flew away as if startled.

The scorpion, however, looked at the stick insect, then at the distant giant waves, and hesitated.

The spider retracted the cocoon containing the food and prepared to leave.

But to everyone's surprise, the earth wave suddenly became even more turbulent, rising several meters high. The moment the spider shot out its silk, before it could even jump, the earth wave had already swallowed it whole.

Wang Lan and Sun Muchen immediately turned and ran.

The earth swelled behind them with tremendous force, completely turning the ground upside down. Trees seemed like fragile blades of grass, easily uprooted and chopped in half. The rumbling sounds were incessant, mixed with the cracking sounds of trees being snapped, constantly testing the psychological defenses of the brother and sister.

But just at that moment, a huge object suddenly floated down in front of them, crashing down and breaking all the tree branches in front of them.

The two looked closely and were astonished to find that it was the very butterfly that had just flown into the sky!

However, at this moment, only the two wings of the butterfly remained intact, but its body was a bloody mess, as if it had been smashed to pieces by something, with viscous liquid slowly flowing out.

"This road is blocked! Change sides!"

Wang Lan grabbed Sun Muchen's hand and tried to run in another direction.

But on one side, the dead bodies of butterflies blocked their way, while on the other side, scorpions and stick insects were still fighting fiercely, knocking down countless trees. Behind them, waves of earth continued to surge forward, their momentum undiminished.

They were now in a near-desperate situation.

The earthen wave approached, overturning countless plots of land and transforming it into a nearly ten-meter-high earthen wall.

Hercules beetles and cockroaches struggled to survive in the surging earth, along with other insects. However, the earth also carried broken trees, and sharp spikes pierced through the insects in the rolling waves, or were crushed to dust along with the insects.

The herring beetle's hard shell is easily broken.

The insects' incredible resilience is nothing to brag about.

This was like the powerful force released by the magnificent nature, which ordinary organisms could not contend with.

An immense sense of oppression swept over us along with the surging waves of earth.

The stick insects and scorpions that were fighting fiercely were not spared. They were also swallowed by the earth wave. The scorpion's tail was crushed instantly when it was hit by the earth wave, and green blood gushed out.

Next up are stick insects.

But it is even more fragile, easily broken by the earthen waves like a withered tree branch, and submerged in the tide.
