2. You don’t want me to unfollow you

It was late at night, the bar empty, and Deng Shilang finally found time to check his phone after returning home. He entered the hallway and saw a pair of neatly arranged high heels on the floor. He bent down to change into them, then went into the living room, tossed his phone on the table, grabbed a bottle of whiskey from the cupboard, and casually reached for a glass on the table. Someone hugged him from behind.

Deng Shilang immediately put down the whiskey, turned around and hugged Chen Lier back, giving her a caring and secure feeling, and gently scratched her nose, "What time did you come here?"

Chen Lier hugged his waist, stood on one foot, and said, "I'll come over after work."

“How was the shoot today?”

"It's OK. The model is in good shape, but I feel like my inspiration has dried up." Chen Li'er was dissatisfied. "The last set of photos I took didn't get a good response. Maybe my standards are too high."

Deng Shilang smiled, "Do you know what I read today?"

"What."

“Taste is the enemy of streaming.”

"I know, but in this business you need to have high standards to attract higher-end clients."

"You have always had high standards."

"Why else would I be attracted to you?" Chen Li'er moved around his face, an admiring expression on her face. She gracefully reached out and poured him a glass of whiskey, taking a sip herself before placing it in his hand. She lifted her suspenders and sat on the table, her slender legs swinging as the plaid tablecloth spread out beneath her.

Suddenly, the phone lit up. Deng Shilang grabbed it and looked at it. The screen lit up and there was a message to follow back. When he clicked on it, he saw Yao Ling's account.

"Work?"

"No, high school classmate."

"Male or female, you are still in contact."

"A girl." Deng Shilang rubbed her ear, tickling her and making her smile. He said, "First love."

Chen Li'er froze, snatched her phone away, and quickly unfollowed him. Her possessive nature wouldn't allow him to have any contact with anyone of the opposite sex she'd been romantically involved with, or else she'd lose her temper and smash the place up.

Deng Shilang sighed, "I haven't felt anything for so many years."

"No, you can be a sp without any feelings, but with me, even sp is not allowed."

"Then you and your first love also follow each other, as well as your ex, and your ex's ex."

"I'm a woman, and you're a man. I don't believe you."

"Discrimination against me?"

“There are too many people like this around me.”

Deng Shilang was defeated, "Okay, I won't pay attention to it, don't worry." He carried her to the bed.

The music had already ended. Yao Ling picked up her phone and saw that one person was missing from her follow list. She clicked into Deng Shilang's chat box. The black box clearly stated that they were not following each other. She snorted coldly, suspecting that he was trying to gain attention by acting coyly, so she immediately unfollowed him.

But as soon as she unfollowed him, Deng Shilang sent her a DM through the chat box.

【DChayden】: Are you treating me like a butcher?

【RosalieYL】: Very similar.

【DChayden】:Just say it, I don’t want you to unfollow me, is that difficult?

Yao Ling fell silent after reading the last sentence. She never liked seeking attention like this, or expressing her true emotions like other girls did. Deng Shilang was clearly too narcissistic, thinking that she really didn't want him to unfollow her. She hated seeing him so self-righteous, so she didn't reply indifferently and tossed her phone aside.

Deng Shilang also stopped messaging her and remained unfollowed. He'd seen Yao Ling's latest updates on her social media: she was working as a photographer in Milan. He didn't know what to say. Was it a coincidence, or was it just the current trend of "wanwanleiqing" (likely referring to a person or something)? His girlfriend had the exact same profession as her.

The lights were dim. Yao Ling went barefoot to the refrigerator, opened a beer, and then sat on a blanket to watch TV. Netflix in Italy showed movies and TV shows released in most other regions. She couldn't understand why Spanish-speaking regions could produce such a melodramatic show. The gang leader killed the hero's father, but the hero fell in love with the gang leader's daughter. The enemy-loving-enemy drama was a common theme all over the world.

She was halfway through reading when she called her spouse, who was French and had a very French name, Pierre.

Pierre Bourdieu, Pierre Bonnard, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, and he is just one of the millions of famous Pierres. She often reads Pierre Bourdieu and the Frankfurt School. She also knows Jean-Pierre Jeunet's "Amelie", so she thinks that French men named Pierre are all romantic talents, and her sp Pierre is indeed no less than other Piers. He is a young writer with extraordinary talent and profound knowledge. He now lives in Milan.

Pierre likes to wear fruity perfume. He exudes typical European handsomeness, with a high nose bridge and naturally long lower eyelashes. He wears a pair of black-framed glasses whether he is writing or not, and he is fond of Martin boots. His dressing style is that of a yuppie.

Yao Ling took the initiative to look for him, or he looked for her, it was all for entertainment.

Yao Ling had a rule about being a partner: they had to be the only one they agreed to be. If he had a new lover or even just happened to sleep with her, she wouldn't accept it and would automatically withdraw from the relationship. Pierre often reassured her that he didn't like the way other people would have one-night stands in a bar and then go their separate ways, so she felt reassured.

Every time Pierre tried to kiss her face, she would just touch it lightly, not giving him a chance to French kiss her. He wondered, "I find it strange. Why don't you kiss me? Am I not pretty?"

"You're very handsome." Yao Ling caressed his eyebrows and then his nose. "I was once forcefully kissed by a guy I was pursuing at the entrance of a movie theater. That feeling made me realize that I didn't like him and didn't have any feelings for him. I just wanted to have fun with him. If you're having fun, you have to set boundaries. Once you cross them, it will destroy our friendship. He crossed my boundaries, so I won't be associating with him anymore."

Pierre understood her limitations and said aggrievedly, "But I love kissing."

Yao Ling said with a smile, "You can kiss other people."

"Okay, I won't kiss you. It won't destroy the harmony between us."
