22. Getting angry
Yao Ling didn't know if it had been weeks since she'd had sex with her husband, but after having sex with Deng Shilang, her thighs felt incredibly hot. Even sitting on the bed with her legs together, she could still feel a slight dilation. After all those years, she realized he remembered the circumstances that triggered his orgasm. But while he remembered, he was clearly pushing harder than before, leaving her no room for retreat or reflection.
She had just finished ovulation, and Deng Shilang had aroused her desires again. After the relief, she immediately sobered up. If it were Pierre, he would be a little calmer. Although he was sometimes crazy, he would not make her lips bleed. She could moan to him, but she didn't want to satisfy Deng Shilang and let her moan whenever she wanted.
Yao Ling got out of bed, squatted barefoot in front of the suitcase, took a cotton swab and gently wiped the dark screen of her mobile phone. The phone just lit up after acting as a mirror. In the group, there were good night expressions sent by Xiaoyu to them, and the little bear blew kisses, wishing them sweet dreams.
She thought none of them would have a good dream.
In the morning, Xiao Yu questioned why neither of them had replied, then sent a series of messages sharing her morning life: her dog stealing the beef snack she bought, and cooking omelets for breakfast—a lot of trivial information. Yao Ling woke up and read them all, then sent her two words: "I like it."
Xiao Yu knew that Yao Ling was very frugal with words, so she smiled attentively after receiving two words, which was enough to prove that she was her best friend in her mind.
Yao Ling had just finished packing when Shen Yu came knocking on the door. She opened the door and her lips were seen by Shen Yu under the light.
Shen Yu frowned, stood closer, lifted her chin with her fingers, and looked around, "Why does it look damaged? What did you do last night?"
"I'm getting angry." Yao Ling put down her fingers and said briefly.
By chance, the door of the next room was opened, and the voice of a phone call came in: "Okay, I'll go downstairs now, see you in the restaurant."
Chen Yu saw Deng Shilang, who was dressed neatly, with surprise in her eyes. After he hung up the phone, she said, "Shilang, you're here. You live so close."
Deng Shilang looked at them, stayed on Yao Ling for a second, then raised his phone to Chen Yu and smiled politely: "Business, please treat Auntie to dinner when you have time."
"No, you're busy." Shen Yu waved, and when he turned and left, she said to Yao Ling, "Your lips don't look inflamed. Don't wear lipstick for the next two days."
"Getting angry is not a big deal." Yao Ling responded.
Deng Shilang heard what they were saying behind him, walked from the corridor to the elevator, pressed the button and got in quickly.
The elevator door slowly closed. He looked at Yao Ling, and she happened to be looking at him through the rain. Their eyes met for a split second before the elevator door closed. He knew her lips had been bleeding last night, and a small scab should have formed this morning. He hadn't even kissed her yet, and she'd already bit herself to bleed.
Yao Ling accidentally met his gaze, and as soon as the elevator closed, she let Chen Yu into her room. The mother and daughter packed their luggage and then went out with Yao Shenhe.
When they went to the restaurant for breakfast, they saw Deng Shilang again, accompanied by his colleagues.
Shen Yu suddenly smiled and praised: "You are indeed a handsome man. I remember when I went to your school, your names were on the bulletin board."
"It's the past. I don't want to talk about it anymore." Yao Ling put a piece of sliced apple into her mouth.
Shen Yu respected her daughter and didn't say anything. She pushed the plate of fruit in front of her and said, "Eat more fruit to reduce internal heat. Don't eat watermelon. It's not suitable for you."
After breakfast, the family went to visit old friends, carrying souvenirs from Italy. Afterward, they went to the market to buy more fruit. Chen Yu had wanted to buy ointment for Yao Ling to apply, but Yao Ling refused, saying it would heal in a couple of days and there was no need to bother.
The sun sets quickly, and around six in the evening, the sky is a patchwork of pink and orange.
Deng Shilang and his colleague Steven weren't quite exhausted by the time they got back to the hotel. They chose between a hot spring spa and a gym, ultimately opting for the one. Back in Hong Kong, they usually hit the gym around 6 or 7 a.m., either for a gym session or a morning run, but now, on their business trip, they've switched to evenings. The hotel's amenities are comprehensive: a gym on the middle floor, a hot spring spa on the top floor, and a connecting corridor leading to a swimming pool and garden, perfect for relaxing after work.
Around seven in the evening, the two appeared at the gym.
Deng Shilang was wearing headphones. As soon as he got on the equipment, he saw a very familiar figure standing on the treadmill opposite. She had a high ponytail and wore tight sports pants. Her waist and hips were well-proportioned and soft. Her ponytail swayed gently as she slowly climbed the slope.
About half an hour later, Yao Ling got off the treadmill and onto the yoga mat to stretch. She spotted Deng Shilang. He was also at the gym, wearing a plain white T-shirt, doing hammerstrength exercises. But she didn't watch. She reached down and leaned toward her toes, her hips pressed against the mat, her chest drooping forward from the pressure.
After the two men finished their strength training, they wiped their sweat and drank some water, then walked around the yoga mat, got on the treadmill, and started pressing the buttons.
Halfway up, Steven was sweating profusely and said frankly, "It's still the cardio that's tiring."
"Especially at night." Deng Shilang understood. He stared at the treadmill screen halfway through.
Yao Ling leaned sideways behind him, revealing the lines of his back where his T-shirt had become wet. He had the perfect body: tall, thin in clothes, and muscular without. Even though they say cardio is tiring, he was doing it with ease.
Yao Ling finished stretching, stood up, and went to the treadmill to pick up the water bottle she had tied there. They finished their exercise at the same time and got off the ground. Her arm brushed Deng Shilang's waist, took the water bottle, and then left like a stranger passing by, walking towards the elevator.
The three of them took the elevator together, and no one spoke. Steven, his mouth dry, left on one floor and told Deng Shilang that they would see each other tomorrow. Deng Shilang nodded and told him to drink his energy drink quickly.
"I have so much energy today, but I didn't have it last night," said Deng Shilang.
Yao Ling leaned against the elevator and said indifferently: "If you don't want it, then don't do it."
"Good."
The elevator arrived, and Deng Shilang walked to the door of the room, led her in, and carried her to the bathroom counter. Yao Ling was puzzled until his fingertips reached her chin and she realized he was examining her lips under the light.
"Does it hurt?" He stared at it and gently stroked the small scab.
"No feeling." She felt the warmth of his fingers on her lips.
"I'm getting angry." He smiled as he thought of what he said this morning.
She felt his breath on her cheek and turned her head away. "Thanks to you."
Deng Shilang was still looking at her lips. He wiped them gently and said, "I threw away the condom."
Yao Ling sneered, "Then why did you drag me in? We agreed it was just a one-night stand."
Deng Shilang didn't take it as an offense. "Check the wound. Yesterday you left without saying anything, leaving me there to reflect on it."
"Reflect on something."
The mirror reflected the two of them. She was sitting on the sink with her back to the mirror, and he was standing at eye level with her.
"Too heavy, even though you like it so good."
Yao Ling put her hand over his mouth and said, "If you don't want to do it, then don't talk about it."
After checking, Deng Shilang felt that there was nothing serious, so he let go of her hand and said, "It's okay, go back." He put his arms around her waist and carried her to the door, letting her go back. Then he went back to the bathroom, took off his clothes and took a shower.
