"Brother Chen, An'an, we're back!"
Just as the sun was setting, Yunfan and Yunhua returned.
Jiang Nian'an was absorbing the remaining crystal cores when she heard their voices. She quickly got up, went to the door, and opened it for them.
Both of them were covered in blood and filth, and looked exhausted.
"An'an, this is for you."
As soon as they entered, Yunhua handed the bag containing the crystal cores to Jiang Nian'an.
The heavy package made Jiang Nian'an's lips curl into a smile.
The two walked quickly to the coffee table, took out a few tissues, and wiped the sweat from their foreheads.
Yunfan looked around the living room but didn't see Shen Nanxing. She asked curiously, "Hey? An'an, where's Brother Shen?"
Jiang Nian'an quickly turned around and shushed Yun Fan, "Third Brother, keep your voice down, Brother Chen is sleeping in the room."
Hearing Jiang Nian'an's concern for Shen Nanxing, Yunhua paused in wiping his sweat. Had they made up?
It seems that making room for the two of them today was the right thing to do.
But you have to be proactive when pursuing someone. With his brother Chen's indecisive and hesitant manner, do you think he can win over An An?
Sigh, I never thought he'd be worrying about Brother Chen's important life events one day...
Yunhua couldn't help but sigh.
"Brother, hurry up!"
Yunfan had already rummaged through the emergency kit to find two changes of clothes, picked up a bucket of water, and walked to the bathroom door, eager to wash up.
When he turned around, he saw Yunhua still standing by the coffee table in a daze, so he couldn't help but urge her on.
He was covered in blood, which was sticky and smelly, and he was feeling terrible.
"They're here! They're here!"
Yunhua snapped out of her daze and looked at Jiang Nian'an, "Then, An'an, let's go wash up first."
Jiang Nian'an nodded, "Yes, I'll take this opportunity to get you some food."
If food hadn't been mentioned, things would have been fine, but once it was, Yunfan felt a wave of hunger wash over him, and his mouth started drooling uncontrollably.
He nodded repeatedly and said in a low voice, "An'an, I want to eat noodles."
Jiang Nian'an gave him an OK sign, put the bag into her spatial storage, and then closed the door.
As soon as the door closed, the man who was already in a semi-conscious state behind it collapsed to the ground with a thud.
"Um?"
Yunfan suddenly stopped in her tracks, looked at the man, and asked with suspicion in her eyes, "An'an, what's this?"
“Oh, him,” Jiang Nian’an glanced at the man casually, “the one who came to deliver supplies to us.”
Yunhua looked at the man who was bound hand and foot, his mouth stuffed with leaves, choking and rolling his eyes, his mind not quite clear, and his lips twitched suddenly.
This doesn't look like someone delivering supplies to them at all!
"Second brother, third brother, you two go wash up first."
As Jiang Nian'an walked towards the kitchen, she said to the two of them, "I'll tell you all at once when Brother Chen wakes up, so I don't have to say it twice."
"OK!"
Yunfan and Yunhua nodded and turned to go into the bathroom.
Jiang Nian'an went into the kitchen and made a big pot of meat sauce noodles.
The aroma of meat sauce noodles filled the entire house. Shen Nan moved his nose and slowly opened his eyes.
He propped himself up on the bed, slowly got up, and moved little by little to the kitchen.
Jiang Nian'an was facing away from the doorway, ladling noodles into a bowl.
Suddenly, a pair of strong arms wrapped around her waist, and a familiar, cool scent enveloped her.
"Awake?" Jiang Nian'an smiled and turned to look at Shen Nanxing.
"Um."
Shen Nanxing gently rested his chin on the top of her head and rubbed it lightly.
"My second and third brothers are back too. We'll have dinner after they've finished washing up."
Jiang Nian'an put the portioned noodles aside, patted Chen Nanxing's hand, and said, "Go sit on the sofa first, I'll make a cold dish and be right back."
"No!"
Shen Nanxing tightened his grip on her waist and said in a muffled voice, "I just want to stay here with you."
"ah!!!"
Before Jiang Nian'an could speak, Yun Fan's startled cry suddenly rang out behind them.
"Brother Chen, An'an, what's wrong, what's wrong—"
Yunfan stared blankly, mouth agape, one hand over his chest, the other pointing at the two people embracing each other, his eyes wide like saucers.
"What's wrong?"
Hearing the commotion, Yunhua rushed over.
Even though he knew Shen Nanxing's intentions beforehand, he was still a little stunned when he saw the scene before him and immediately froze on the spot.
Isn't this progress a bit too fast?
Seeing the two people staring in disbelief, Shen Nanxing smiled slightly.
He leaned against the cabinet behind him, slowly turned around, and looked at Yunfan and the other man with bright eyes and an undisguised smugness in his eyes.
"Let me reintroduce you, this is my girlfriend, Jiang Nian'an."
"What?"
Yunfan couldn't help but stagger backward, hurriedly bracing his arm on Yunhua's shoulder to support his somewhat limp body.
How did my sister become my sister-in-law after just one day apart?
Jiang Nian'an picked up two bowls of noodles, walked over to the two of them, and placed them in their hands. "Brother Shen likes me, and I like Brother Shen too, so we're together~"
Yunfan, carrying a bowl of noodles, walked blankly towards the living room, muttering to himself, "This was so sudden!"
Yunhua's reaction wasn't much better. She stared at the noodles in her hand for a full minute before looking up and giving Shen Nanxing a thumbs up.
"Wow, that's awesome, bro!"
While killing zombies today, he was still thinking about how to come up with some more ideas and strategies to help Brother Chen so that he could return home safely as soon as possible.
In the blink of an eye—
Yunhua also shook her head and walked towards the living room.
Less than thirty seconds later, Yunfan came in again with a blank expression, picked up two more bowls of noodles, and walked straight out.
Jiang Nian'an shrugged at Shen Nanxing, "Looks like Second Brother and Third Brother will be having a long time to process the fact that we're together."
