Jiang Nian'an walked around the yard.
Like Yunhua and the others, she did not notice anything unusual.
Yunfan and his companion uprooted all the plants in the courtyard, including the clump of roses.

As I picked up the last bag of rice, a black and white unidentified creature suddenly darted from under the rice bag to under the passenger seat.

Jiang Nian'an split the rattan cane in her hand into ten pieces and twisted them around the passenger seat.
The creature hurriedly crawled out from under the passenger seat, then climbed to the window, blinking as it looked at them.
Only then did the two realize that what was hiding in their car was a mutated silver-ringed snake.
Unlike other snakes, its eyes are not triangular, but round.

It hid in the flower bushes, neither attacking nor fleeing.
She curled herself up into a ball and looked at Jiang Nian'an and Shen Nanxing with her round eyes.
To be precise, he was looking at Jiang Nian'an.
Its head was pressed against its body, and its mouth was tightly closed.
It didn't look like he was trying to hurt her.
A look of doubt flashed in Jiang Nian'an's eyes; she couldn't quite figure out the mutated silver-ringed snake's intentions.

"Such speed!"
Jiang Nian'an got up and walked to Shen Nanxing's side. Looking at the mutated silver-ringed snake blocking their way, she exclaimed in surprise.

"Call your companions out right now, or else—"
