The two middle-aged men behind the man became excited upon seeing Shen Nanxing, exclaiming, "Second Young Master!"

"You know him?" She turned to look at Shen Nanxing.
Before Shen Nanxing could speak, the man at the head of the group greeted him warmly with a smile, "Second brother, I've finally found you!"
Second brother?
Could this guy be the genetically mutated one who sent out a large number of assassins to kill Brother Shen?
Without a second thought, Jiang Nian'an stepped in front of Shen Nanxing, her knife pointed directly at Shen Nanchuan, "Stop!"
Shen Nanchuan looked at the knife tip pressed against his chest, a sinister glint flashing in his half-closed dark eyes, but he quickly returned to normal.
He looked up at Jiang Nian'an with a warm smile on his face, "Miss, what do you mean by this?"
"It means 'Stop pretending.'"
Shen Nanxing stepped forward, gently pressed down the knife in Jiang Nian'an's hand, and then pulled her behind him to protect her.
"Pack?"
Shen Nanchuan was taken aback, looking confused. "Nanxing, I don't understand what you mean."
The people behind him were also completely bewildered.

The people behind Shen Nanchuan eagerly answered.
Shen Nanxing didn't care who answered the question; he just wanted to ascertain the king's whereabouts.
He nodded to the person who answered, then turned to Jiang Nian'an and said gently, "An'an, step back a little."
Jiang Nian'an didn't know what he wanted to do, but she still obediently took a few steps back.
