Wen's mother left with Mu's mother with a smile, leaving Wen Mengxia bewildered in the wind and Chu Moqing with a deep look in his eyes.
Chu Moqing took a deep breath, walked over, grabbed her hand, and without saying a word, led her away from there.
They remained silent the entire way.
When she entered his room, the 'click' sound of him locking the door startled Wen Mengxia, who shrank back nervously. She asked, "Why did you lock it?"
"What we're about to do is not something that should be seen by others."
Chu Moqing said this with his back to Wen Mengxia.
But after he finished speaking, he turned to look at Wen Mengxia, whose eyes were darting away.
He chuckled and ruffled her hair: "What are you thinking about? Your face is so red."
Wen Mengxia was incredibly nervous, but she still stubbornly insisted, "I'm not blushing."
"Really? Then look up at me."
Wen Mengxia turned and walked inside: "Didn't you say you were going to show me something? What is it?"
She suddenly stopped, covered her mouth with both hands, and stared wide-eyed ahead.
In the lounge, a large heart shape was formed with many fresh flowers.
The decorative lights around her flickered on and off, allowing her to clearly see the jewelry box in her mind.
The area around her was filled with old photos of her and him together.
There are photos of her running in the morning, solo shots of her eating in the cafeteria, and photos of her making a heart shape with her hands for the camera at sunset...
There were hundreds of photos, many of which she had never seen before, so she couldn't help but walk closer to take a closer look at those photos of herself from the past.
"This is what I looked like when I first entered the special training camp."
Chu Moqing hugged her from behind, "Mmm."
Wen Mengxia picked up the photo and exclaimed in surprise, "You took this? We didn't even know each other back then."
Chu Moqing looked at the photo in her hand and said softly, "When I heard that my students had arrived, I rushed over from the playground and saw a pretty girl sulking in the distance. I thought she was cute, so I took a picture of her."
Wen Mengxia's eyes flashed with surprise, then she smiled and said, "I didn't want to participate in the special training at the time, but my dad signed me up against my wishes, saying that it was a spot he had worked hard to get, so I was very unhappy when I got to the training camp."
"Yes, I know. None of you dozen or so came to participate in the special training willingly."
Wen Mengxia put down the photo and picked up another one: "Who would want to be tortured? You have a notorious reputation. If you train under you, you won't get out of it without being skinned alive."
We'd heard back then that you hated training young masters and ladies of high society, so you were especially harsh on us. You certainly lived up to your nickname, "The Viper."
Chu Moqing chuckled: "So back then, because I trained you too harshly, you hated me and never even looked at me properly."
Wen Mengxia snorted: "It's already good enough that I didn't scold you to your face. You expect me to even look at you?"
She saw a profile photo of herself sitting on a hillside wiping away tears, and she gripped the photo tightly.
This was the first time that her mistake had implicated others, who were punished by being denied food and forced to do two hundred frog jumps and three hundred push-ups while hungry.
The boys might not think much of it, but they were a group of girls, and they were hungry and exhausted.
It's going to kill them.
She began to blame herself when she saw others faint because of her.
After she finished her last push-up, she didn't eat and stumbled to the hillside to hide and cry secretly.
When Chu Moqing saw the photo, he hugged her tightly and apologized, "I'm sorry, it was my fault back then. I shouldn't have punished her so severely."
“I’m not angry with you, I’m angry with myself.”
Wen Mengxia took a breath, put down the photo, and said, "So you were here with me not far away back then."
"I've been keeping an eye on you."
Looking at the photos she had never seen before, Wen Mengxia said, "I can tell. But when did you develop these photos? Why didn't I know?"
Chu Moqing: "...After your engagement, I got through it all thanks to these photos."
Wen Mengxia was taken aback. She saw him release her, take the jewelry box from the heart, kneel down on one knee, open the jewelry box, and reveal the diamond ring inside.
He said, "Xiaxia, during the time we were separated, I saw too many human tragedies. No one knows how long they can live."
We missed each other once, but now we've met again in this apocalypse. It's clear that even God doesn't want us to miss each other.
Xiaxia, I don't want to lose you again. I want to protect you as your fiancé. If we survive, I want to spend the rest of my life with you as your husband. Xiaxia, will you be my fiancée, Chu Moqing?
Wen Mengxia was already in tears, and she nodded repeatedly: "Yes, I do. Chu Moqing, I do want to be your fiancée."
With tears in his eyes, Chu Moqing slipped the diamond ring onto her finger and gently kissed the back of her hand, his voice trembling as he said, "Thank you, Xiaxia, I love you."
He stood up and gently wiped away her tears, looking apologetic: "I'm sorry, time was too tight, so I could only use the simplest ceremony to express my feelings. I will definitely make up for this regret in the future."
Wen Mengxia shook her head, crying, "No, I like it very much."
Chu Moqing asked her, "Will you be upset that I didn't invite anyone else?"
Wen Mengxia shook her head: "How could I blame you? This is between the two of us."
After saying that, she kissed him and mumbled, "With them here, how can we proceed?"
Her infatuated and confused state made Chu Moqing no longer able to hold back.
He picked her up by the waist and carried her into the bedroom...

Night Scenery in Yan's room, bathroom.
The white mist obscured the view inside the bathroom, but ambiguous sounds could be heard coming from within.
“Lingling…”
"Um...I'm here~"
“Lingling…Lingling…”
"Um...I'm here~"
Do you know how much I miss you?
“I know. I’ve always known.”
"...Lingling, kiss me."
Just as Ye Ling lowered her head to kiss him, Ye Jingyan suddenly sped up...
