Why does Chapter 4 seem a bit different from the main plot? (2/2)

Their entry into the lobby on the first floor caused quite a stir.

"Why is Miss here?"

"Everyone, be a little more polite, or don't blame me if you get scolded."

"It's so annoying, I hate seeing her the most."

"Greetings, Miss."

"Greetings, Miss. Your makeup today is so beautiful and suits you perfectly."

"......"

Ye Ling, who was being led by Ye Jingyan, overheard their hushed conversation and greetings, and inwardly exclaimed, "Oh my god, how could I have forgotten about that?"

[The original owner's reputation was already infamous because of her arrogance and domineering nature; she didn't even have a single close friend. This gave the female lead the opportunity to get close to her, flatter her, and win her over by showering her with treasures.]

The company's employees have suffered countless harassments and verbal abuse from her. Every time she appears in the company, the employees are terrified, and they all curse her behind her back.

Ye Jingyan gripped her hand, intending to speak up for her, but then he heard her think to herself, "If I were scolded by the young lady for no reason, I would hate her to death. Work is already hard enough, why should I get scolded by her?"

Go ahead and criticize, whatever makes you happy. Anyway, I'm not the one getting criticized, hehe...

Ye Jingyan was quite surprised; he thought she would be sad about it, but he didn't expect her to have such a good attitude.

The more I look at her, the more she resembles her as a child.

Even after they entered the elevator, Ye Ling could still hear whispers behind her.

"Huh, why isn't she looking at me with disdain today?"

"She didn't give me a hard time, that's rare."

"Didn't you notice? The president never used to personally lead her up, but now he's holding her hand."

Ye Ling thought to herself smugly, "Hehe, see? That's personal charisma. I didn't do anything, and their attitude changed."

Sigh... The thought that they might be dead in ten days still makes me very sad. Even though they're just minor characters in the book, they're still lives. Damn this apocalypse.

Ye Jingyan didn't tell her that he would give the company's employees a holiday in three days, and whether they could survive would depend on their fate.

Upon entering the CEO's office area, before Ye Ling could even marvel at its luxury, a bespectacled man approached her anxiously: "CEO, President Shen and the others are already waiting for you in the conference room. Would you like to go now, or..."

"Don't go over there."

Ye Ling panicked. She pulled Ye Jingyan aside and whispered, "Brother, I saw in my dream that President Chen would harm you. You can't sign this contract."

Seeing that she was sweating profusely from anxiety, Ye Jingyan took out a handkerchief to wipe her forehead and comforted her, saying, "Alright, since you gave me a hint in your dream, then I will be careful."

Ye Ling was stunned to see how easy he was to talk to.

[Wait a minute, why would my brother believe me so easily? In the book, the original owner of this body was a complete troublemaker, exhausting them all. They won't easily believe what the original owner says, after all, the original owner has lied too many times.]

[That's not right either. He's a big shot. If he believes the apocalypse is coming, he definitely wouldn't be buying things up. Wouldn't it be better to use the money to stockpile supplies?]

[I'm so funny, a freshman in college actually dares to try and figure out what the big shots are thinking, it's hilarious.]

Ye Jingyan released her and gently flicked her nose: "I also have to thank our little Lingling, otherwise I really would have signed the contract. You can go to my office and play by yourself for a while. If you want to shop, you can use my computer anytime."
