Chapter 219 Killing Two Birds with One Stone (1/2)

Under the dim light of the underground garage, He Qing, holding up her dress, slowly moved to the place where Song Yuhan and she had agreed to meet, but she did not see Song Yuhan.

He Qing glanced at her phone in confusion, muttering, "What's up with this Song guy... Didn't we agree to meet here..."

Just as He Qing took out her cell phone in confusion and was about to call Song Yuhan to ask, footsteps suddenly came from behind her.

The heels of leather shoes tapped on the ground, and the quiet underground garage seemed particularly clear.

He Qing thought it was Song Yuhan who came, so she turned around quickly, but found that the person who came was not Song Yuhan, but her brother He Lei.

Seeing He Lei's gloomy face, He Qing was shocked. She didn't expect to see her elder brother here.

He Qing was about to say something, but unexpectedly He Lei raised his hand and slapped her.

There was a crisp sound of "pop", which seemed particularly loud in the quiet corner.

He Qing subconsciously raised her hands to cover her burning cheeks and tasted a faint smell of blood in her mouth.

She stared at He Lei with eyes wide open in disbelief. Just as she was about to ask He Lei why, He Lei spoke first.

"He Qing, I told you before to get along well with Xue'er and not to bully her. Why don't you learn your lesson?!"

He Lei looked at He Qing with a sinister expression, his black eyes stained with anger and disappointment: "How dare you team up with outsiders to frame your own sister! Do you know how much injustice Xue'er and the Song family have suffered? You actually let Song Yuhan come here to humiliate her in public?!"

Seeing that the plan was discovered, He Qing didn't think about how He Lei knew about this. Her mind was now filled with anger and grievance of being slapped in the face.

She covered her face with tears in her eyes but stubbornly shouted at He Lei: "Why don't you see how the mother and daughter set me up? I was hungry in the temple for three days! I almost starved to death in there! Where were you at that time!?"

Not sure if it was out of anger or grievance, He Qing couldn't help but burst into tears: "He Lei, are you still my big brother? It's fine if you don't help me, but now you're hitting me for a daughter born to a mistress! Do you still remember that I'm your biological sister from the same mother?"

He Lei was not moved by He Qing's tears. He frowned and looked at He Qing, and said impatiently: "I've said it before, you and Xue'er are both my sisters, you are both daughters of the He family, you should get along well with her."

As He Qing's eldest brother, He Lei knew He Qing's character very well. He knew that He Qing was unruly and domineering, and had bullied others a lot. For example, when He Qing was in junior high school, he bullied four classmates and made them jump off a building to commit suicide. It was he, as the eldest brother, who helped He Qing suppress these things.

But Lu Sixue was different. He Lei felt that Lu Sixue was so weak and timid, just like his wife, and needed to be well protected.

So when He Qing and Lu Sixue had a conflict, He Lei stood on Lu Sixue's side without thinking.

He Lei stared at He Qing with a gloomy face and continued, "Xue'er is so gentle and well-behaved, why can't you tolerate her? You and her were good friends before, and now you are sisters, your relationship is even closer, isn't it good? Can't you just get along with her, why do you have to make a fuss, are you so ignorant?"

He Qing was incredulous when she heard this. She shook her head in despair and cried, "Brother! What kind of magic potion did that bitch Lu Sixue feed you to make you protect her like this! Have you forgotten that your mother was angered to death by those mistresses? Why are you protecting the daughter of a mistress now!?"

He Lei's jawline was tense. He was silent for a moment, then said in a deep voice: "...I haven't forgotten, but...Xue'er is innocent after all, and she couldn't choose her own birth."

He Qing was incredulous when she heard this: "What nonsense are you talking about? How can she be innocent? Her birth is a harm to her mother! She now lives in her mother's house and enjoys her mother's property. She is a shameful vested beneficiary!"

After He Qing finished speaking, she glared at He Lei and asked him in a tearful voice, "Brother! You were the child that mom loved the most when she was alive. Now you are defending the illegitimate daughter of a mistress. Are you worthy of mom in her grave?!"

He Lei sighed upon hearing this. He rubbed his brows helplessly and said to He Qing, "Don't mention this matter all the time... Everyone has their own destiny, and mother's death is also her destiny... These have nothing to do with Xue'er, you can't always make things difficult for Xue'er."
