Chapter 3 Bonds of Fate

Le Wu looked away and saw the man beside her. He had already used his tie to bandage the bleeding spot on his head, and the bleeding was no longer so rapid.

The man's furrowed brows made him appear even more sharp, and the serious and solemn atmosphere gradually soothed Yuewu's pain.

Perhaps my body has become numb, or perhaps my heart has inexplicably found peace.

As drowsiness gradually crept in, my eyelids grew heavier and heavier.

This terrified the man beside her, who had been observing the music and dance the whole time.

From the very beginning, when she squatted down to inquire about his physical condition, although she didn't receive a reply, a glimmer of light flashed in Yuewu's eyes.

The man took in all the shock, anger, and venting that followed in her eyes.

Yuewu: Thank you so much! You're quite observant!

For a man, every outward emotion expressed through music and dance indicates that her condition is not too bad.

But once he fell into a coma, the unknown nature of his condition completely shattered the man's calm facade.

He immediately shouted, "Don't sleep, don't sleep, hold on, the doctor will be here soon..."

Cool fingers touched Le Wu's burning face. Le Wu snorted inwardly, "Man, don't let me catch you, or I'll definitely touch you back."

But my thoughts are still gradually becoming hazy, as if I'm returning to that bloody memory...

"Sister, how are you? Does it hurt a lot?" The boy started to cry as he spoke.

The frail woman opposite had one eye socket that was dry and empty, while her other eye was wet from the boy's crying.

"I'm fine, they treated me." The woman spoke with great difficulty.

The boy was even more upset when he heard this. His sister was originally able to heal herself, but now her left hand, which was used to release her powers, had been cut off.

That man deserves to die, he really deserves to die!

The woman didn't notice the fleeting ruthlessness in the boy's eyes. Instead, she worriedly said to him, "You should leave quickly. Don't let others find out; it's not good for you."

"It's alright, I've already given the guard outside a pack of cigarettes. He'll let me know if anyone comes."

"Sister, don't worry about me. This time I went out to collect supplies and traded some mutated goat milk with others. Drink some, it's good for your health."

As he spoke, the boy put the water bag containing goat milk into the woman's mouth. Smelling the rich aroma of the goat milk, the woman felt a pang of bitterness in her heart.

But when she met the boy's eager gaze, the woman cautiously started drinking, but she didn't dare to drink too much. She took a few sips and then asked the boy to take it back.

The woman also emphasized, "Take some back with Grandpa, and make sure you take good care of yourselves."

Before the boy could answer, a voice appeared.

"Wow, such a deep sibling bond! It's so touching that I'd like to draw a few more bags of blood from you, so that all that goat milk you drank wouldn't be wasted."

The boy jumped to his feet, glaring angrily at the newcomer, "You..."

"Yuan Chen, you should go back now," the woman quickly interrupted the boy.

There's no need to engage in verbal sparring with someone like Mo An, because she's vengeful and holds grudges.

The boy saw the woman frantically gesturing for him to leave, closed his eyes briefly, and had no choice but to turn and walk away.

Even so, Mo An looked at the boy's retreating figure with eyes like a venomous snake.

The woman naturally saw it too, and immediately started shouting, "Mo An, why are you here to see your auntie so late at night instead of sleeping?"

Mo An: .....

Is this woman insane? How dare she call herself a grandma?

"It seems the lesson I gave you during the day wasn't lenient enough."

As he spoke, Mo An approached the woman, took out a stun gun, and began her daily venting performance.

This time, she chose to target only the woman's wrist wound where she had lost her left hand. With each electric shock, blood gushed out again.

"Hey, Ji Ye, I've reached the intersection, where are you?"

Wu Xunrui, a doctor, performed a five-hour surgery last night.

Wu Xunrui was just asleep when Ji Ye's phone call about a car accident completely woke him up.

Fortunately, his place wasn't far away, so he immediately grabbed a first-aid kit and an AED and rushed over.

We just hope the injured person's condition can stabilize and wait for the ambulance to arrive.

When Ji Ye received Wu Xunrui's call, he immediately stood up and waved.

The moment Wu Xunrui saw him, he took off running, racing against time. Reaching Ji Ye's side, Wu Xunrui began to salvage the music and dance performance…

Meanwhile, Mo An was being held tightly in a man's arms, who was constantly comforting her.

"Don't worry, An'an, I've already spoken to my aunt, and a traffic police officer she knows will handle it."

"Besides, we'll give her enough compensation. We can satisfy her every request, so there won't be any problems. I've got everything covered! Don't cry, okay?"

Mo An, her face streaked with tears, blinked her frightened red eyes at the man. "Really? I won't have to take responsibility or go to jail? So many people saw it."

The man gently patted Mo An's back. "No need, she doesn't deserve it! And there's even less to worry about the others. I'll take care of everything. You just need to be a carefree little girl, don't worry!"

"Mmm." Mo An rubbed pitifully against the man's chest, a gesture that made the man feel even more sorry for her.

Just then, a shadow suddenly appeared on the ground near Mo An and the others.

Before I could even react to why this was happening, a huge wave of heat hit me.

"Thump!"

A deafening roar erupted, and everyone instinctively covered their heads and crouched down.

Yuewu felt the earth tremble as her entire body moved. True to the fine tradition of Chen Kingdom—loving to watch the excitement—Yuewu mustered her strong willpower and barely managed to open her eyes a crack to look at the source of the sound.

In the distance, a golden light shimmered, and many small points of light drifted and danced slowly in all directions, creating a beautiful sight.

Suddenly, the little lights seemed to have discovered something and flew towards the music and dance all at once.

In a daze, Yuewu thought that the gates of the underworld had opened and that she was about to leave this world.

Perhaps it was because of the dazzling brilliance of the tiny lights that Yuewu let go of her fear of death and instead felt a sense of anticipation and curiosity.

At the same time, I kept comforting myself, thinking that since things had come to this, I should say goodbye properly.

However, not everyone can see the tiny point of light...

Because of her physical condition, Yuewu reacted relatively slowly. By the time she looked over, the tiny speck of light had captured all of her attention.

In reality, after the loud noise, a large crater appeared in the center of the intersection, filled with many dark red rubble.

Mo An, who was closest to the scene, was the first eyewitness to this extraordinary encounter. The man holding her, however, was facing away from her, so he could only be considered a participant.

Because of their proximity, a fragment of the meteorite struck Mo An squarely on the forehead the instant it exploded, causing her to faint.

As the small specks of light that emerged from the pit scattered, some of them entered the bodies of Mo An and his companion due to the impact.

Most of those who came to dance and music were absorbed by Ji Ye to some extent while bypassing him.

The bond of destiny begins from this moment...
