Is Chapter 6 an awakening from a dream, or a warning?

The outside was noisy, chaotic, and filled with fighting and clamor.

In a room on the third floor in the distance, a woman sat leaning against a mottled cage, surrounded by filth and a stench.

The tense atmosphere outside did nothing to stir the woman's emotions.

If it weren't for the slight rise and fall of her chest, indicating that she was still breathing, it would be hard to imagine that such a withered body was a living person.

However, upon closer inspection, one can see that she looks very similar to Yue Wu, except that she is so thin that she is skin and bones.

Her arms and legs were covered in bite marks, and in some places a chunk of flesh had been torn off. The gruesome wounds were inflamed and festering, and maggots were wriggling in the rotting flesh.

The left wrist had a clean cut, one eye was just a dark hole, and the other was lifeless.

A blood collection bag was hanging next to the woman's shoulder; it was almost full.

"Are you still taking her?" a boy asked disdainfully.

"Why bring it? I don't want the car to smell bad. Besides, it's not certain she'll make it to the next place," the muscular man said, turning and leaving.

Everyone looked to the other side, where a glamorous woman was standing against the wall.

She wore a sexy, tight-fitting outfit that accentuated her curves, and her fiery red lips parted slightly as she said, "Take the blood bag, leave the person behind."

After saying that, she turned and left, swinging her long ponytail across the face of a burly man.

The man wore a lewd, ecstatic expression, which the others found unsurprising, and they all began to act.

Only the woman in the cage remained in the same position, silently watching the demon's departing figure, a slight smile playing on her lips. Soon... soon she would be free...

When her consciousness returned, Yuewu found herself still in this strange space, watching the little light dot busily repairing her wounds.

Once the light in one area dims, other points of light will automatically fill the gap.

She marveled at the wonder of the light spots, but couldn't understand the underlying principle at all.

She's too weak right now; she can't handle thinking about anything too much.

Le Wu, who was in a coma, was not much better off. Everything she experienced in her dream felt so real, and pain and helplessness assaulted her again and again, leaving her at a loss.

Are these images real events or warnings?

What is the sound of water that you hear when you are awake?

I really want to know, but I can't resist the fatigue in my body.

******

When Le Wu woke up again, she looked at the petal chandelier above her head. She had bought it during a store promotion when she first started working as a customer service representative.

She then looked around and finally confirmed that it was the bedroom she had lived in for four years.

So, you're back?

Am I still dreaming?

Or perhaps he just woke up from a dream about a car accident?

"Ugh, this is so confusing! I'm not exactly smart to begin with, and this is all so brain-taxing. What more do you want from me?"

Before I could finish yelling, my phone suddenly rang; it was a notification tone from my memo app.

Yue Wu quickly picked up her phone to check, wondering what had happened that she had set up a memo.

During the year I worked as a customer service representative at home after leaving my job, I rarely needed to use the memo app.

Unlike before when I worked in a sales company, where I had to attend meetings, submit summaries, and make plans, I no longer have to complete multiple tasks on time and in quantity, so my memo would ring several times a day.

And now, the appearance of this memo notification sound is truly a welcome surprise...

[Dr. Wang, Room 511, Department of Psychiatry, Central Hospital, 10:00 AM]

Looking at the contents of the memo, Yuewu's mind went blank. What was going on?

Hospital? Psychiatry department? Old Wang?

Who is it?

Why is it on her phone? She never set it to be there.

No, wait, doctor, in a white coat, is that him?

The person who gave her the stone in her dream?

For some reason, this realization gave her a chilling feeling.

She had a feeling that something beyond her control was about to happen...

After thinking for a long time, Yuewu still couldn't figure it out.

But noticing that it was already 9:40, she knew she had to get up now if she wanted to know the truth.

Heading off to the hospital, to have a good talk with Old Wang...
