Chapter 12 Distributing Food
When we finally saw the food.
Everyone was stunned.
With so many people, they lingered on the second floor, staring at the food, still in a daze.
Ji Zai took a deep breath and said, "Let's distribute the food. As we agreed before, each person will receive thirty jin, and those who go out will receive one hundred and fifty jin."
The group sat down.
Looking at the pile of rice and other miscellaneous things at the bottom of the stairs.
Ji Zai had just recovered from his excitement when he saw the messy pile of things on the ground.
Before she could even walk over, something rolled to her feet.
She picked it up. "This is... soy sauce?"
Ji Zai was greatly shocked. She looked over and saw an unidentified object piled up like a small mountain.
Her eye twitched, and she casually picked up a bottle. "Pepper?"
She turned around.
Then I saw a group of silent, but slightly guilty-looking guys.
What are you going to do with these things?
Liang Qiyue's gaze wandered. "I did as you said, carrying the thirty jin of rice before moving all this other stuff. People can't just eat rice, so I thought I'd also bring back some oil and salt to improve our meals."
"Well done!"
Looking at the seasonings, Ji Zai said, "After I moved two bags, I went out for some fresh air and didn't see that there were still seasonings in the warehouse."
She squatted down and put the things aside. "What are you standing there for? Come and get the food!"
Upon hearing this, the others cheered.
Then they all surrounded it.
There was a lot of rice, in huge bags, large sacks.
Ouyang Yi looked at the rice and calculated, "The small sacks of rice weigh 50 jin each, and the large sacks weigh 100 jin each. But we have two hundred small sacks of rice here, which is a total of 10,000 jin, and 50 large sacks, which is 5,000 jin each."
"There are also three boxes of noodles, each box containing 24 packs of dried noodles, for a total of 72 packs of dried noodles."
"One hundred boxes of instant noodles? One box contains 24 packs of instant noodles, so that's 2400 packs in total?"
"And then a box of dry rations? Fifty packets of military rations in total?"
"And fifteen packets of salt, ten bottles of soy sauce, twenty large bottles of cooking oil, and fifty bottles of seasonings?"
Ouyang Yi stared at the supplies, dumbfounded.
Her gaze shifted to the group of seemingly frail-looking girls, and she was filled with admiration. "A bunch of greedy girls, they're almost dead, but they still can't resist sneaking in some good food."
I knew a lot, but I never imagined it was this much.
She squatted down and said, "A total of 15,000 catties of rice, that's really amazing, sisters. You did it in less than five minutes."
The group of girls were a little embarrassed. "We were so short of food that when we saw it, we got the urge to hoard it and thought we should take as much as we could. Before we knew it, this happened."
Ji Zai covered his face as he looked at the amount of food he had stockpiled. "I just wanted some food, but you guys are trying to stuff me to death."
"My God, that's amazing."
When Ji Zai saw this number, he couldn't help but marvel at how amazing this group of people were.
114 people.
They received nearly 15,000 kilograms of supplies.
That's awesome.
When you actually see these foods.
Everyone's hearts finally settled down.
at least.
They knew that with these things, they wouldn't die anytime soon.
"If each person consumes 0.9 jin of rice per day, then for 114 people, this 15,000 jin of rice would be enough to feed us for nearly 146 days, or almost five months."
Ouyang Yi calmly calculated.
After Ji Zai finished speaking, he thought for a moment and said, "Then let's divide it according to the original share first, and put the extra ones in the dormitory until we run out of food."
“I think it’s a good idea.” Ouyang Yi had already calculated it out. “Each person gets 30 catties of rice, so we’ll set aside 3,300 catties first, and then add five times that for the four of us, which is 600 catties.”
"A total of 3900."
"The remaining 11,100 will be temporarily stockpiled."
Ouyang Yi, with a pen seemingly appearing out of nowhere, adjusted her glasses and solemnly wrote down the remaining food, saying, "If the rescue hasn't arrived by then, we'll take it out again."
Ji Zai thought there was no problem.
Others also thought it was fine.
Ever since they learned that aid wouldn't be arriving there anytime soon.
They were desperate.
But to their surprise, they actually got the food and returned to the safe dormitory.
Then the group began to divide the rice.
The remaining rice needs to be put somewhere properly.
These foods are their means of survival in the apocalypse and must be carefully preserved.
Ouyang Yi waved his hand, instructing everyone to carry themselves up to the storage rooms on the rooftop.
Then they divided the food in an orderly manner.
Everyone exclaimed, "No wonder he's the student council president!"
Their management skills are top-notch.
Everyone was happy to receive their share of food.
At least for now, they don't have to worry about whether they can survive.
It was already dark by then.
They each shared a little of the seasonings.
However, Ouyang Yi keenly noticed that everyone's enthusiasm for seasoning was not very high.
Squinting, he said, "These instant noodles and dried noodles are luxuries. I advise you not to even think about them, or you'll all be stuck eating plain rice porridge in the future."
Ji Zaiyi said righteously, "How could that be? We're not the kind of people who don't know what's good for us. I know the president is being so strict because he cares about us."
Ouyang Yi adjusted her glasses. "It's good that you know."
She glanced around at the people around her. “Very good, dear students. I know the sudden apocalypse has terrified you all, but no matter how bad life gets, we have to survive.”
"Now that we have plenty of food, we must keep up with our physical fitness. Since the dorm supervisor is not here, your schedules are all messed up."
"I've decided to fulfill my duties as student council president and urge you all to live a healthy life during the apocalypse. From now on, everyone must get up, go out, and run up and down the stairs every morning between nine and ten o'clock!"
"Three laps back and forth, no exceptions allowed!"
Ji Zai was horrified when he heard this.
She looked at her sworn enemy roommate.
My roommate turned pale with fright when he discovered the child he had been wronged with.
Nan Yao raised her hand, "Why? We're in the apocalypse! Who's still climbing stairs in the apocalypse? I refuse, I object, I don't want to."
I heard this sound.
Ji Zai was greatly shocked to see the only person in the entire room who dared to utter a sound.
Perhaps because they were used to being enslaved by the school, they generally obeyed teachers or people who worked for the school.
Because only they know how to manage a school well.
Those of them who are not experts should not get involved.
Surprisingly, there was still one who dared to revolt.
Ouyang Yi looked over with a cold smile, "I can cook."
She glanced around at the people, "especially all kinds of white rice, and I know exactly which dorm rooms in this building have mini-fridges and which have prohibited electrical appliances."
"If you want to live a good life, you must submit to my tyranny!"
"Otherwise, you'll only be able to eat rice soaked in plain water."
Ouyang Yi asked coldly, "Tell me, have you ever thought about living a hard life?"
Everyone: Terrified.jpg
They don't want to.
Then, Nan Yao fell silent.
Her face turned terrified. "Sister, it's not that I didn't try my best, it's just that this guy really has some ability! He's been in the student council for so many years, he's not just wasting his time."
Seeing that the man had behaved himself, Ouyang Yi nodded in satisfaction, "Very good."
This is more than just good.
This is just so incredibly well-behaved.
Ji Zai didn't dare to utter a word.
It was so hot that day, and she really wanted to eat popsicles and hot pot.
So they were forced to submit.
Starting today, the girls' dormitory building No. 4 has a new dormitory manager.
After the gathering dispersed, Ji Zai took the supplies he was entitled to and returned to his dormitory.
Wash the pot, plug in the electricity, and start cooking rice.
Completed in one go.
This scene is too quiet.
Liang Qiyue couldn't help but slap herself, realizing it hurt. "Ouch, that hurts! I can't believe we actually did it..."
Her voice was choked with emotion.
Ji Zai couldn't help but look up. "Yes, that's how we got it back."
She felt it was somewhat unreal.
Who are they?
A group of ordinary female college students.
When the apocalypse came, Ji Zai would envy the protagonists in novels because they had cheat codes, confidence, ability, and the courage to survive alone in such an extreme environment.
But she can't.
She didn't even know if she would be able to get any food this time she went out.
At this moment, she was happy.
Because this proves that she survived.
Only those who have experienced death know how luxurious it is to be alive.
Soon, the aroma of the food reached their noses.
They immediately took out bowls and chopsticks, turned off the heat, scooped out the rice, added oil, and fried the rice.
Liang Qiyue's mouth watered at the smell. "Who would have thought that we'd be working so hard during the day and then eating fried rice at night?"
The food was ready quickly.
Ji Zai quickly finished her meal. Looking at the lights, she suddenly had a bad feeling. "It's been five days already, why hasn't the school lost power yet?"
