Chapter 188 I already have a wife, don't bother me!

Chapter 188 I already have a wife, don't bother me!

These shops are rare quiet spots in the black market, offering cheap hot tea and simple food for people to rest and talk.

The two chose a secluded, inconspicuous spot to sit down and ordered two of the cheapest teas.

Their ordinary attire and deliberately concealed aura had some effect. Although they still attracted the attention of several patrols from different forces outside, most of their gazes were just casually swept over them and did not give them full attention, as if they were just carrying out routine checks.

Using the act of drinking tea, Shen Han lowered his voice, which sounded somewhat muffled through the mask: "Xi Xi, sit here and rest for a while. Don't wander around. I'll go out for a walk and check the situation carefully. If things aren't right, we'll leave immediately and think of another way to deal with the crystal core."

Josie nodded, understanding that Shen Han's caution was correct.

If a powerful force has indeed laid a trap here, their rash actions would be tantamount to walking into a snare.

The best course of action is to remain on hold for now and observe the situation carefully.

"Be careful," she whispered.

Shen Han nodded, got up and blended into the flowing crowd outside, quickly disappearing from sight.

Josie sat alone in the tea shop, a cup of murky, lukewarm tea in front of her.

Her gaze seemed to casually sweep over the diverse crowds coming and going on the street, but in reality, she was highly vigilant, carefully discerning those gazes, whether visible or hidden, and sensing the unusual energy fluctuations in the air, trying to find any potentially hidden high-level superhumans.

As she looked around, her gaze suddenly settled on a few people walking slowly towards her from the other end of the street.

The man at the head of the group also wore a mask covering his face. He stood tall and his steps carried a unique rhythm that seemed lazy but actually contained power.

Among the people following him was a particularly large, fat man who was whispering something in his ear.

Lu Yuyang?

Josie's heart skipped a beat.

Although he was also wearing a mask, his familiar figure, his gait, and especially the highly recognizable fat man beside him and another sharp-eyed subordinate who stayed close by, combined with all these factors, made her almost immediately certain of his identity.

How did he end up here?

And it seems that they are being watched by someone?

Qiao Xi saw the fat man whisper something to Lu Yuyang, and Lu Yuyang paused almost imperceptibly for a moment before continuing to walk forward without making a sound.

But when he looked up, his gaze inadvertently swept in her direction.

Their gazes met briefly in the air, separated by the noisy crowd and dim light.

Josie was dressed in a drab, oversized gray outfit and wore a comical monkey mask that almost completely obscured her features.

But after that one glance, Lu Yuyang's heart skipped a beat.

A strange, intense sense of familiarity struck him.

That figure, that quiet posture, especially those eyes peering through the holes in the mask... I always felt a striking resemblance to the person in my memory.

But he wasn't sure.

I fear it might be a delusion caused by excessive longing.

He suppressed the urge to rush forward and confirm, but changed his original route, seemingly unintentionally and slowly moving closer to the tea shop where she was, wanting to get a better look.

Josie naturally noticed his approach and his probing gaze.

She found it amusing and suddenly felt like teasing him.

Instead of avoiding his gaze, she adjusted her posture, rested her chin on one hand, tilted her head, and looked back at him with an almost leisurely and lazy gaze, openly and even somewhat playfully, as if observing something interesting.

She wanted to see if this guy could recognize her.

Lu Yuyang approached the tea shop step by step. The eyes that looked out through the Monkey King mask carried a familiar yet unfamiliar playfulness and liveliness, making his heart beat more and more unsteadily.

Just as he was about to reach the store entrance, an unexpected incident occurred.

A young girl dressed in obviously elaborate clothes, even a bit too bright for the post-apocalyptic world, suddenly appeared from a nearby stall and blocked Lu Yuyang's way.

She also wore a mask, but it was made of exquisite material and only covered the upper half of her face, revealing her full lips painted with lipstick and her chin with a distinctly provocative smile.

“Hey, handsome,” the girl’s voice was sweet and crisp, with a bold directness, “Are you alone? You look unfamiliar. Is this your first time in this black market? Need a guide? I know this area very well…”

As she spoke, she leaned forward slightly, deliberately showing off her beautiful curves, her gaze lingering unabashedly on Lu Yuyang's tall and slender figure.

Lu Yuyang's steps were stopped, and his brows furrowed almost imperceptibly, clearly showing his impatience with this attempt to strike up a conversation.

The fat man and his men behind him sharpened their eyes and were about to step forward, but were stopped by a subtle gesture from Lu Yuyang.

Lu Yuyang looked at her, wanting to see her reaction.

Josie immediately adjusted her posture, watching with even greater interest, completely in a state of watching a good show. She even subconsciously picked up the cup of cheap tea and took a sip, as if she were enjoying some interesting performance.

Lu Yuyang's eyes never left Qiao Xi.

Seeing her looking like she was enjoying the drama, my uncertainty vanished instantly.

That's his XiXi!

He was too lazy to deal with the girl in front of him anymore, and he didn't even bother with pretense.

He walked right past her and strode over to Josie's table.

His tall figure loomed over them, carrying a sense of oppression.

Josie tilted her head back, and her beautiful, lively eyes behind the mask blinked, making Lu Yuyang's heart almost leap out of his chest.

Lu Yuyang suddenly reached out and precisely pinched the bottom edge of her mask.

Josie was stunned. Before she could react, he pushed the Monkey King mask on her face up a little, revealing her slightly parted lips in surprise and a small section of her fair chin.

Immediately afterward, under the astonished gaze of Josie and the dumbfounded stare of the girl who had been flirting with him, Lu Yuyang leaned down and, with an extremely natural yet slightly punitive tone, quickly and lightly bit her lip!

It doesn't hurt, but it's ambiguous enough and asserts sovereignty.

"Hmm!"

Before Qiao Xi could react, Lu Yuyang had already straightened up, his fingers brushing suggestively against the corner of her lips. "Why didn't you call me?"

His tone was languid yet carried a strong sense of possessiveness.

Lu Yuyang wrapped his arm around Qiao Xi's waist and pulled her closer to him, their posture incredibly intimate.

His gaze swept over the girl who had followed him. "I don't need a guide. I already have a wife, and she's very strict. I'm afraid she might misunderstand."

His tone was casual, yet every word was clear.
