Chapter 205 Make it up to me
Only Josh and Shen Han remained in the apartment.
After a moment's hesitation, Josie walked up to Shen Han and asked, "What happened between you two? Something's been going on."
Shen Han turned his head and said with a smile, "What could possibly happen? Isn't it better to get along peacefully?"
Josie raised an eyebrow. "Really? You're not hiding anything from me?"
Shen Han continued to laugh, "No, this is a peace agreement between men."
Since she wouldn't say, Josie didn't press the matter.
After a moment's hesitation, Qiao Xi continued, "Shen Han, I promised Lu Yuyang I'd stay here with him for a few days until he's finished dealing with his business before we set off together. Here, take these crystal cores."
She took out the crystal cores she had traded from Mu Yanzhou and the ones she had collected along the way, put them in a bag and handed it to him, saying, "When you go back, please give this to Brother Jinxing for me. The lab should be in dire need of it."
Shen Han did not take the crystal core, but looked at her with a slight frown: "I'm worried about leaving you here alone."
Even with Lu Yuyang and the safe zone around, he still couldn't feel completely at ease.
Qiao Xi smiled and reassured him, "Don't worry, with Lu Yuyang here and so many other ability users in the safe zone, it's very safe. The sooner you send the crystal core back, the sooner Brother Jinxing and the others can feel at ease."
Shen Han looked at her silently, then suddenly stepped forward, reached out and hugged her tightly, resting his chin on the top of her head, his voice muffled: "Sending me away... how will you compensate me?"
His tone was clearly one of dissatisfaction and grievance.
During this time, Lu Yuyang wanted her, and so did he.
He had thought that although this trip was a mission, it would be a rare opportunity for the two of them to be alone, and that he could have her all to himself during this journey and enjoy intimate moments with her to the fullest.
But unexpectedly, Lu Yuyang appeared out of nowhere, completely disrupting his plans.
Josie sighed softly in his arms, knowing that she was indeed in the wrong.
She tiptoed and kissed the corner of his lips, a gesture meant to comfort him.
However, this fleeting kiss was clearly insufficient to satisfy the long-suppressed chill.
His eyes darkened, and he grabbed the back of her head to prevent her from retreating. His voice was low, husky, and dangerous: "Xixi, this is not enough... far from enough."
His breathing became heavy, and his burning lips covered his again, kissing him deeply and urgently, filled with intense desire and possessiveness.
As he kissed her, he bent down, his strong arms slipping under her knees, and easily lifted her up in his arms.
"The things we didn't finish that day... we should continue today."
He breathed and whispered near her lips, then kicked open the bedroom door, carried her inside, and gently placed her on the bed where her scent still lingered.
The indoor temperature seemed to rise instantly.
Clothes were scattered messily on the ground.
The man's strong, undulating back was full of wild tension, and the veins on his neck, which he sometimes raised, were bulging, with beads of sweat sliding down his perfect muscle lines.
Josie's fingertips sank weakly into his strong arm...

The noise in the bedroom gradually subsided after a whole afternoon.
With utter satisfaction, Shen Han held the limp woman in his arms, tenderly kissing her slightly swollen lips. His voice was hoarse and languid afterward: "Xi Xi, I'll listen to you. First, I'll send the crystal core back to Professor Fu. Then... I'll come back to pick you up as soon as possible."
Josie was so tired that she didn't even want to move her fingers. In her drowsy state, she heard someone whispering in her ear.
Later, there seemed to be the sound of men talking in hushed tones, but her consciousness sank into darkness, and she soon fell asleep again.
When she woke up again, it was already dark outside the window.
She moved her aching body and discovered that the man beside her had changed.
Lu Yuyang was lying on his side next to her, propping his head up with one hand, silently watching her, and it was unclear how long he had been watching her like that.
His eyes were complex, containing tenderness, longing, and a hint of suppressed fire.
"Huh? It's you?" Josie had just woken up, her voice still soft and hoarse from the passion.
Lu Yuyang leaned down and gently kissed her cheek, which was flushed with an alluring blush. His voice was a little husky: "You're not happy to see it's me?"
God knows what he felt when he rushed back after finishing his business, bumped into Shen Han who was about to leave, felt that familiar yet ambiguous atmosphere in the bedroom, and saw Qiao Xi sleeping soundly on the bed, clearly having been thoroughly loved.
It took him a great deal of effort to suppress the surging bitterness and restlessness.
Josie shook her head and said honestly, "It was just a bit of a surprise."
She tried to get up, but felt her waist and legs were extremely sore and weak.
Lu Yuyang noticed her discomfort, his eyes darkened, and he reached out to pull her, blanket and all, into his arms, sighing, "If you're not feeling well, lie down for a while longer."
At this moment, Qiao Xi dared not lie down with him; her body, which had just been tormented, could not withstand Lu Yuyang's passion.
Lu Yuyang could tell what she was thinking at a glance.
"I'm not that much of a beast. You should rest well today. Once you've recovered, I won't let you off the hook."
As he spoke, he rested his chin on the top of her head and continued, "Chen Han has already returned with the crystal core. During this time, you should stay in the safe zone and wait until I have finished handling and handing over my affairs before we set off together."
Josie had been sleeping for so long and was no longer sleepy. She reached out and nudged him, saying, "I'm not feeling well. I want to go take a shower."
Lu Yuyang didn't hug her too tightly. She pushed him away and then lifted the blanket to pick up her clothes and put them on.
Lu Yuyang got off the ground first, bent down and picked her up.
He carried her to the bathroom, carefully filled the bathtub with warm water, and then helped her wash.
As he washed her, Lu Yuyang couldn't take his eyes off her body, which was covered in ambiguous marks yet still breathtakingly perfect. He couldn't resist the surging impulse and his breathing became heavy.
He stood up abruptly, grabbed a towel from the side and shoved it at Qiao Xi, his voice tense: "Xi Xi, you wash first... I'm going out for a bit."
After saying that, he turned and left the bathroom almost hastily, closing the door behind him.
Watching his retreating figure, which looked like he was fleeing in panic, Josie paused for a moment, then couldn't help but chuckle softly.
After taking a shower, Lu Yuyang came out and had regained his composure, standing by the window.
Seeing her come out, he took a thick coat and carefully draped it over her shoulders, saying gently, "It's still cold, wear more clothes so you don't catch a cold."
He gently embraced her from behind, his warm chest pressed against her back. He lowered his head and nibbled on her soft earlobe, his voice carrying a hint of restraint and expectation: "I'll let you off the hook today... Tomorrow, you'll have to make it up to me."
In the evening, the two ate something simple and then snuggled up on the sofa to watch a downloaded old movie on their laptops.
They may not have paid much attention to what the movie was about, but the warm and peaceful companionship was invaluable.
Finally, they lay in bed together, embracing each other.
Josie was half asleep when she suddenly remembered, "Oh right, I'll go see Grandma Chen and the others tomorrow. You can go about your business."
Lu Yuyang's hand brushed through her soft hair. "Yes, if anything happens, have someone pass on a message to me."
