Chapter 208 This appearance is unbearable to show anyone.

(Uh, the previous chapter is locked again.) Feng Ye got up with a satisfied look, feeling refreshed. He walked over and put his arm around her, kissing her smooth forehead. His tone was full of doting affection, though he didn't seem to care: "What are you afraid of? We've been living together all along, haven't we? They know that."

“That’s all in the past!” Josie punched him angrily. “Now they think I’m with you…”

She stopped mid-sentence.

"What did you think we were?" Feng Ye raised an eyebrow, watching her embarrassed expression with amusement.

Josie said she wasn't going to say anything more, and gave him a push: "Go out and tell them first! I'll get ready and come out later!"

She looks so terrible that she can't possibly be seen in public.

Feng Ye knew he couldn't tease people too much, after all, they had been in a cold war for so long and it hadn't been easy to "break the ice".

For the past few months, she has been on his mind the whole time, which is why he has been secretly tracking their whereabouts as if he were bewitched.

He originally thought he could get rid of this uncontrollable desire, but the more he could see it but couldn't touch it, the more scorching the obsession became, almost driving him crazy, and wasting so much time that could have been spent together.

“Okay,” he conceded, his tone softening. “Don’t be shy, I’ll go out and tell them you’re back.”

He kissed her cheek again before quickly putting on his clothes, opening the door, and going out.

Outside, Zhao Wenjing was chopping potatoes. Hearing the noise, she turned around, saw Feng Ye, and smiled innocently, "Brother Feng Ye, you're home? I thought you went out."

But as she finished speaking, her gaze inadvertently swept over Feng Ye's neck, and she immediately widened her eyes in surprise.

There were several obvious red marks there, and even a faint tooth mark!

With Feng Ye's skills and superpower level, who could hurt him? And in such a place?

She blurted out instinctively, "Brother Fengye, what scratched your neck? Are you alright?"

Before he could finish speaking, Granny Chen quickly tugged at his arm and scolded him in a low voice, "Why are you asking so many questions, you little brat! Are the potatoes cut yet? Go and do it!"

Although Zhao Wenjing was simple-minded, she wasn't stupid. When her grandmother interrupted her like that, and with the door closed, she seemed to suddenly understand something. Her face flushed red, and she stammered an "Oh," before quickly lowering her head and frantically continuing to chop potatoes, not daring to look at Feng Ye again.

Grandma Chen turned her head and looked Feng Ye up and down with a smile, her face showing understanding and relief: "Is it Xixi who's back?"

The usual coldness in Feng Ye's eyes was replaced by an obvious pleasure and languor. He nodded, his voice softening slightly: "Yes, she'll be out in a bit."

"Good, good, good," Grandma Chen said repeatedly, her wrinkles beaming with joy. "I'm relieved that you two have made up. Perfect timing, I'll cook some extra rice, let's have a good meal today!"

Josie, inside the room, heard the conversation outside clearly, and the heat that had just subsided on her face surged back up.

She patted her face to cool down, cursing the insatiable "wolf" in her mind countless times.

After lingering in the inner room for a long time, carefully tidying up his clothes and combing his hair again, trying to cover up the most obvious red marks on the side of his neck, he finally took a deep breath, mentally prepared himself, opened the door and went out.

As soon as she stepped into the living room, Grandma Chen's kind and joyful gaze immediately fell upon her, her happiness undisguised: "Xixi, it's been so long! Come here and let Grandma see you!"

That gaze was warm and inclusive, without the slightest probing or uncomfortable scrutiny, instantly dispelling most of the embarrassment in Josh's heart.

A genuine smile appeared on her face as she walked quickly over, letting Grandma Chen take her hand and look her up and down: "Grandma, Wenjing, I'm back."

"It's good to be back, it's good to be back!" Grandma Chen patted the back of her hand, her eyes even slightly red. "You've lost weight, you must have suffered a lot outside, right? Grandma made something delicious tonight, you must eat more!"

"Okay, I'll definitely eat more," Josie replied with a smile. The awkwardness she felt when she first came out quickly disappeared in this familiar warmth, and she regained her usual composure.

She naturally rolled up her sleeves. "Let me help, Wenjing. Have you cut the potatoes? I'll stir-fry them."

"No need, sit down and rest for a while... You're used to being quiet, you'll be fine in a bit." Grandma Chen waved her hand.

“Grandma, I’m bored sitting here, let me lend a hand.” Josie smiled and went to help wash the tomatoes.

While working, she smiled and said, "Grandma, go and rest. Try my cooking and see if it's gotten worse."

Soon, the kitchen was filled with the crisp sound of spatulas clattering and the aroma of food.

Josie skillfully stir-fried the tomatoes and eggs, while Wenjing assisted her. Grandma Chen sat on a small stool nearby, watching them with a smile, her eyes full of satisfaction and contentment.

The atmosphere was so warm and cozy, it felt like we were back in the old days when we snuggled together.

The food was served quickly: simple scrambled eggs with tomatoes, hot and sour shredded potatoes, and a steaming bowl of vegetable soup—a rare delicacy in the apocalypse.

The four sat around a small table, eating and chatting. Most of the time, Grandma Chen and Wenjing asked Qiao Xi about the situation outside, and Qiao Xi picked out some of her less dangerous experiences to talk about.

Halfway through the meal, Qiao Xi put down her chopsticks, her expression becoming more serious as she looked at Grandma Chen and Wenjing: "Grandma, Wenjing, the reason I came back this time is actually to ask you... if you would be willing to move to my place?"

Upon hearing this, both Granny Chen and Wenjing were stunned for a moment, and subconsciously turned to look at Feng Ye, who had been eating in silence but whose presence was very strong.

Josie also turned her head, looking directly at Feng Ye, her tone calm but with an undeniable air, and dropped a bombshell: "You probably have no choice but to move."

Feng Ye raised an eyebrow, signaling her to continue.

Josie smiled. "Lu Yuyang has made his decision. He will move the entire safe zone there to join us. This place... will soon become an empty shell."

These words were like a boulder thrown into a calm lake, instantly creating ripples across the dinner table.

Grandma Chen and Wenjing were both stunned, staring wide-eyed at Qiao Xi, then at Feng Ye.

Relocate the entire safe zone? That's a huge deal!

Feng Ye paused, his hand holding the chopsticks stilled, his deep gaze fixed on Qiao Xi, his brows furrowing: "The entire safe zone?"

“Yes,” Josie met his gaze and nodded frankly, “They have better facilities and more room for development over there, and they can concentrate their efforts on dealing with future crises. It’s the best option right now.”

She looked at Granny Chen and Wenjing, her tone softening: "So, you need to get ready. The announcement will probably be released in a couple of days. Don't worry, the temperature there is more suitable, and life will be better."

Then, she looked at Feng Ye again, raising an eyebrow, "What, you don't want to go?"
