Chapter 51 Feng Ye, you're a real scoundrel!

Chapter 51 Feng Ye, you're a real scoundrel!

But soon, several people blocked the figure's path.

After the people in front gradually dispersed, they had long since lost any trace of Lu Yuyang.

Josie lowered her eyelids.

That person might really be Lu Yuyang. Even if he isn't, Lu Yuyang would definitely come looking for him if he knew about the existence of the safe zone.

They might meet again; he's probably filled with disgust at himself for hurting himself like that...

Yes, that's fine too.

All she wanted to do was upgrade.

The four of them carried the supplies to the narrow and dilapidated apartment building.

The place was noisy with all sorts of people.

Some had nowhere to live and even lay down in the corridors.

They finally managed to squeeze through the crowded passageway and arrive at their temporary accommodation on the fourth floor.

They used the key given to them by the staff to open the door.

The room was fairly clean, but very cramped.

The four people standing in the living room looked a bit crowded.

There were only two rooms. Zhao Wenjing looked around the rooms curiously.

She shouted excitedly, "Sister Xixi, there's water here... and electricity too!"

Grandma Chen patted her granddaughter's waist, "Go wash up, it's almost gone bad."

Zhao Wenjing responded shyly and immediately took out her clothes to wash up.

After the grandmother and granddaughter finished washing up, it was already dark outside. Chen Yurong said with a smile, "Wenjing and I will eat some biscuits in the room. You should get some rest too."

Feng Ye hasn't been trying to hide anything from people these past two days, and they've already figured it out.

After closing the door, only Qiao Xi and Feng Ye remained standing in the living room.

Feng Ye leaned against the wall, his gaze turning dangerous.

"Go take a shower, it's getting late."

Josie's legs went weak when she thought about the madness of that night.

But she wasn't being coy. Since she had decided to level up as soon as possible, living with him would naturally be beneficial to her ability improvement.

Even if we do nothing, lying together is better than being apart.

I took out my clothes and washed them thoroughly in the bathroom.

I had just finished showering when there was a knock on the door.

Who is it?

"I……"

Feng Ye made no attempt to conceal his intentions; his thoughts were crystal clear.

Josh: ...

"I'm taking a shower, wait a moment."

She quickly pulled off a towel to wipe herself clean and hurriedly put on her clothes.

Josie opened the door and quickly walked out, saying, "Here, have it..."

The next second, a long arm wrapped around her waist and pulled her back into the bathroom.

The sound of water splashed again, but it couldn't mask the blush-inducing noises mixed in with it.

Josie's fair skin was flushed from washing, and there were still glistening tears in the corners of her eyes.

Rough hands pinched the back of her knees.

"Feng Ye, that's enough. Grandma and Wenjing will be coming out to use the toilet in a little while."

Feng Ye lowered his head and kissed her lips. "Okay, just this once, then let's go back to the room."

But... other sounds mixed in with the sound of water lingered for a long time.

Josie kicked his arm with her foot.

"Fengye!"

The man then hugged her tightly, a satisfied smile spreading across his face. "Okay, I'll take you home now."

Wrapped her in a towel, Feng Ye listened intently for any sound outside before striding back to their bedroom.

After locking the door with one hand, Feng Ye placed the person on the bed.

Josie immediately wrapped herself in the sheet, "I'm so sleepy..."

Feng Ye had just started and hadn't had enough fun yet. He reached out and tugged at Qiao Xi, but she was wrapped up tightly.

He chuckled softly, lay down, and pulled himself and the blanket into his broad arms.

He whispered in her ear, "Are you really tired?"

Josie gave a vague reply, "Okay, I'll let you off the hook for today."

After saying that, he mischievously bit her earlobe.

Qiao Xixi stopped going downstairs, turned around and cursed, "Feng Ye, are you a dog... ugh."

The last syllable was muffled in his mouth as Feng Ye's kiss was lingering yet domineering, and his hand slid in from under the covers.

After a long while, Josie glared at him, panting, and said, "You're such a dog!"

Feng Ye chuckled softly, "I clearly let you go."

Yes, he did nothing else, but he kept her on tenterhooks.

She kicked him again.

Josie snorted and turned to sleep.

Noticing that her internal energy reserves had increased again, she closed her eyes contentedly and fell into a deep sleep.

Feng Ye stared at her back, his fingers toying with strands of her hair, again and again...

The next day, when Josie woke up, Grandma Chen had already prepared breakfast.

"Xixi, I cooked some noodles, come and eat."

"Thank you, Grandma," Josie said, smiling gratefully at her.

Grandma Chen's eyes crinkled with laughter. "Xiao Ye has no family since he was little and has a cold personality. Now that he has you, he knows how to care for others. He left the city today and told me to tell you not to worry, he will be back before dark."

Josie looked down and stirred her noodles. "Who's worried about him..."

Grandma Chen thought she was just shy, so she didn't say anything more.

Josie lowered her head and began to concentrate on eating her noodles. She had only eaten half of them when there was a knock on the door.

Zhao Wenjing, who was sitting on a stool tidying her clothes, immediately got up to open the door.

Fu Jinxing, with his refined and elegant appearance, stood at the door and smiled faintly at her, "Hello, I've come to see Xixi."

Fu Jinxing was really good-looking, so Zhao Wenjing shyly stepped aside, saying, "Oh, okay, okay."

Qiao Xi was somewhat surprised to see Fu Jinxing, as he was usually either studying or experimenting.

Are you that free now?

After Fu Jinxing entered, two people followed behind him, carrying a pile of supplies.

"Put it here."

Josie immediately stood up and looked at the canned food, eggs, and fresh vegetables on the ground.

"Brother Jinxing, you can keep it for yourself, there's no need to send it to us."

Having lived in the post-apocalyptic world for several years, obtaining supplies wouldn't be difficult for her.

Fu Jinxing ignored her refusal and had the box put down directly.

Long, slender fingers gently brushed across the lid of the box: "Xixi, this used to be your favorite brand of cookies."

Josie was taken aback.

The next second, she shook her head: "That was in the past..."

She had almost forgotten what the cookies tasted like. In the apocalypse, as long as she could fill her stomach, she didn't care whether they tasted good or not.

Fu Jinxing looked at her and suddenly smiled: "Yes, you've grown up."

Seeing that the two had something to say and the room was cramped, Granny Chen pulled Zhao Wenjing back inside.

Fu Jinxing walked to the sofa and sat down, his demeanor composed.

Josie stared at him and couldn't help but ask, "Aren't you busy?"

Given Fu Jinxing's status, what high-level meetings in the security zone or research projects in the laboratory wouldn't be waiting for him?

"I just arrived, it will take some time to adjust." He brushed it off casually, but his gaze remained fixed on her.

The air felt somewhat stagnant.

After a long silence, Fu Jinxing sighed, "You really don't want to see me?"

"No, I was just afraid of taking up your time."

Fu Jinxing laughed, "It won't delay you. Your business will never be delayed."

After saying that, he added, "There's a banquet in the safe zone in a couple of days. Would you like to come with me?"

Josie was about to refuse.

"I'm new here and don't know anyone." He interrupted her, a slight smile playing on his lips, his tone carrying a hint of feigned helplessness. "Just consider it... helping Brother Jinxing?"

Looking into those gentle, jade-like eyes, Josie found herself unable to utter a word of refusal.
