Chapter Ninety-Four: I Want You to Do It Willingly

Chapter Ninety-Four: I Want You to Do It Willingly

The air in the restaurant seemed to freeze.

Josie pressed her dagger against the buzz-cut man's temple. She could feel the pulse of the veins beneath his skin, so vibrant, yet so filthy.

“I can give you a chance.” Josie’s voice was like an ice blade slicing through glass. “There are five people who can walk out of here alive today.”

The people in the shelter all looked at them warily and suspiciously. "You want us to kill each other?"

“You could say that,” Josie smiled and nodded gently. “You only have one chance, or we can take matters into our own hands and eliminate you all.”

After he finished speaking, someone shouted, "I don't believe it! Even if they have a superhuman, and there's a woman and a child among them, we might be able to fight back and kill them if we put up a fight."

"Kill a superhuman? Fine, you can try," Josie smirked coldly. "From now on, you only have three spots..."

"Wait!" A tall, thin man knelt down abruptly. "We were forced! If we weren't forced, how could we possibly harm our own kind?"

A man next to the man with the buzz cut immediately turned pale and cursed, "Bullshit! Yesterday you said that female college student had the most tender legs!"

Josie watched them fight like dogs without flinching, and even took a step back. "Spots are limited, let's begin the performance."

"Please, most of us are innocent..."

As soon as he finished speaking, the man pretending to be innocent stabbed the man next to him in the abdomen.

With this opening move, everyone else reacted and started to fight back.

Screams rose and fell, and Josie pulled Xie Jue back, watching coldly from the sidelines.

These people all deserve to die, and she naturally felt no pity for them.

The fat woman clutched her neck and collapsed, blood gushing from between her fingers. Behind her, a burly man with a menacing face was retrieving a blood-stained cleaver.

“Four now,” the man said, panting, his eyes searching for targets again.

It was as if a switch had been flipped, and the restaurant instantly turned into a battleground.

The "comrades" who once shared human flesh now turned their knives on each other without hesitation.

A young man had just stabbed his companion in the chest when he was chopped open with an axe; Uncle Hu pulled out a pistol and killed two people, but was then stabbed in the eye by a woman behind him with a fork.

Qiao Xi led Lu Yuyang and Xie Jue to a corner, coldly observing this revelry of human depravity.

Xie Jue's face remained expressionless, seemingly showing no discomfort whatsoever in this scene.

Because he had already witnessed the ugliness of human nature in the tent area.

He had always known that the most terrifying thing in the apocalypse was not the mindless zombies, but these humans who had lost their humanity.

Half an hour later, only three blood-soaked figures remained in the restaurant. The man with the buzz cut wiped the blood from his face, revealing a sinister smile: "Now there are only three of us left."

Josie nodded: "That's right, there are three left."

She suddenly rushed forward, and the dagger accurately pierced the throat of one of them.

The man stared wide-eyed, seemingly not understanding why he had to die when there were enough spots available.

"You lied to us!" the man with the buzz cut roared, the scabs on his face bursting open.

Josie flicked the blood off her dagger: "I told you only three people could get out of here. A beast like you should stay here and die with us."

The man with the buzz cut's expression shifted from shock to rage. He abruptly overturned the table, yelling, "You dare to play me! I'll drag you all down with me even if I die!"

He and his last accomplice pounced on him.

Josie dodged to the side, only to find that the buzz-cut man was unusually fast.

This is not a skill that an ordinary person should have!

"He's a superhuman!" Lu Yuyang warned sharply, throwing out three ice spikes at the same time.

The man with the buzz cut dodged two of the needles, but the third one pierced his abdomen.

He had only recently awakened his superpower and had been hiding it to save his life in a critical moment. He never expected that his superpower was so much weaker than that of this ice-type superpower user, and he had no chance of survival.

He staggered backward, a maniacal smile spreading across his face: "If I don't live, neither will you!"

Lu Yuyang's pupils shrank sharply: "Back off! He's going to self-destruct!"

He shoved Qiao Xi behind him, completely blocking her and Xie Jue from view.

The man with the buzz cut swelled up like a balloon, and an eerie red glow emanated from beneath his skin.

boom!

There was no fire, only a visible energy wave that exploded outwards.

The ice wall that Lu Yuyang had erected shattered instantly, and he was thrown away by the shockwave, crashing heavily into the wall.

"Lu Yuyang!" Qiao Xi rushed over to help him up, only to find that his eyes were starting to redden.

“Go…” Lu Yuyang pushed her away with difficulty. He sensed the abnormality in his body and felt a faint urge to hurt her.

Josie's heart sank to the bottom. The energy from a superhuman's self-destruction would cause a poisoning-like effect on those affected.

Desires will be amplified infinitely. If these desires cannot be satisfied, there is a 90% chance that the affected humans will also self-destruct and die.

Lu Yuyang suddenly turned around and stumbled towards the dormitory area, trying to find a room to lock himself in.

Qiao Xi pulled Xie Jue along and caught up with them, stopping the door just as Lu Yuyang was about to close it.

"Xixi, get out!" Lu Yuyang roared, his voice already hoarse.

His eyes turned completely blood red, and the veins on his neck bulged.

Qiao Xi squeezed through the door: "Lu Yuyang, if you really drive me away, I will never appear in front of you again."

She looked directly into his bloodshot eyes. "Do you really want me to leave?"

Lu Yuyang's hand froze in mid-air; this moment of hesitation allowed desire to surge forth once more.

He suddenly hugged Josie, burying his face in the crook of her neck, his hot breath burning her skin.

"Sister!" Xie Jue rushed up like a little wolf, but was stopped by Qiao Xi raising her hand.

"Xiao Jue, you rest here and don't leave without permission." Josie's voice was unusually calm.

Xie Jue wanted to say something more, but Qiao Xi had already helped Lu Yuyang into the inner room.

Lu Yuyang bit his lip to stay awake, blood dripping down his chin.

He trembled as he drew the dagger and pointed it at his thigh.

Josie snatched the dagger and threw it into the corner. "Why did you hurt yourself?"

Lu Yuyang's chest heaved violently, his shirt soaked with sweat: "Xixi, I can't hold back anymore, give me the knife."

“There’s no knife…” Xi said calmly, unbuttoning the first button.

Upon seeing this, Lu Yuyang forcibly turned his gaze away, saying, "Xixi, you should leave now, or I really will hurt you."

Josie didn't move, and continued unbuttoning her clothes.

A large expanse of snow-white skin was revealed, and Lu Yuyang's eyes closed quickly as if burned. "Xixi... I don't want this. I want you to do it willingly."

She took off her coat and tossed it onto the stool, her eyes misting over. "How do you know I didn't do it willingly?"

Lu Yuyang's breathing became heavier, and the red in his eyes flickered between light and dark.

Just then, Josie approached, stood on tiptoe, and kissed his blood-stained lips.
