Chapter Ninety-Three should be very young

Chapter Ninety-Three should be very young

As soon as Josie crawled under the warehouse, she smelled a strong stench of blood.

She immediately continued rolling forward.

As she rolled along, she saw what was in front of her, and her whole face trembled slightly.

The scene before her almost made her lose control of her abilities, nearly turning her back into human form.

Seven or eight women were chained up in the warehouse, all of them disheveled and with blank expressions.

In the corner lay piles of white bones, some still quite fresh, with traces of flesh and blood still clinging to them.

Various slaughtering tools hung on the wall, gleaming coldly in the moonlight.

What disgusted Josie the most was that on the other side of the warehouse, dozens of glass jars were neatly arranged, containing various human organs, and one of the jars contained a whole **!

Josie suppressed her nausea, looked away, and continued rolling forward.

At the very back of the warehouse, she overheard the conversation between the crew-cut man and the other people.

"Put more medicine in breakfast tomorrow; that woman seems quite clever."

"Don't worry, boss, my new medicine can take down even an elephant."

"That boy's flesh must be very tender..." The person speaking slurped his saliva.

"Don't rush to eat. First, find out where they came from. They might have accomplices..."

"The boss is really smart; maybe they can use them to attract even more people!"

Several people were having a loud discussion in a break room inside the warehouse, without any restraint.

They had no idea that Josie had overheard their entire plan.

Josie silently turned around and rolled back the way she came.

He rolled back to his residence, and as soon as he regained his human form, he started gagging.

Lu Yuyang quickly helped her up: "What's wrong?"

“That meat…”

Josie couldn't help but gag again as she thought about what had just happened.

She had lived in the apocalypse for three years and heard a lot, but because Xu Linchuan had consciously protected her in her previous life, she had never truly witnessed the cruelty of this world.

So this was the first time she had seen it with her own eyes.

She continued, her face deathly pale: "Women are locked up for men to vent their frustrations on... They're going to drug us for breakfast tomorrow."

Xie Jue was still young, but the darkness he had experienced in the tent area was no less than that he had seen before.

He didn't show any signs of panic or fear.

Upon hearing this, Lu Yuyang's expression instantly darkened.

"We have to leave immediately."

Josie shook her head, a hint of coldness flashing in her eyes: "No, we're staying for breakfast."

"What do you want to do?" Lu Yuyang raised an eyebrow at her, not agreeing with her staying and taking the risk.

"If I don't do something, I feel like I've lived in vain."

If she hadn't happened to be a superhuman, she might have ended up like those other women.

The thought of what she would face made Josie want to destroy the place.

******

The next morning, Josie and her friends were all ready to go, but they didn't go out, waiting for them to make their move.

Sure enough, not long after, there was a knock on the door.

After exchanging glances, the three of them got up to open the door.

The door was slowly pushed open, revealing Uncle Hu's honest and simple face.

Now, Josie is completely certain that the face is a disguise, and his acting skills are superb.

Uncle Hu smiled, his wrinkles at the corners of his eyes revealing his enthusiasm. "Breakfast is ready. After we finish eating, there's something I'd like to ask you."

Before Lu Yuyang could answer, Qiao Xi was already standing beside him, smiling at Uncle Hu and saying, "Uncle Hu, why are you being so polite with us? Just say what you need to say."

"Alright, then I'll get straight to the point. Here's the thing: our people are going out to search for supplies today and would like to go with you so we can look out for each other."

"no problem."

There wasn't a single flaw to be found on Josie's face.

"Alright, come with me quickly, let's have breakfast first."

Josie nodded, a naive smile on her face: "Okay, we're coming right now."

The three of them followed Uncle Hu to the restaurant.

There were already more than a dozen people in the restaurant, all with smiles on their faces, warmly inviting them to take their seats.

On the table were fried pork chops, mashed potatoes, and vegetable soup, which smelled delicious.

"Eat quickly, it won't taste good if it gets cold!" A slightly plump woman served Josh soup attentively.

Josie looked at the milky white soup in the bowl, and thinking of the soup pot in the warehouse, her stomach clenched.

But the smile on his face grew even brighter. "Your food reserves are really plentiful. Four months into the apocalypse, you can still eat such fresh meat."

The woman's expression froze, and Uncle Hu immediately chimed in with a smile, "We have our own farm, we're lucky."

A breeding farm...what a breeding farm!

After talking for a while, the group realized that Josh and the other two still hadn't touched their chopsticks.

Then someone couldn't help but urge, "Why aren't you eating? Eat up!"

Josie put her chopsticks down on the table and sighed, "You've all been so good to us, I don't know how to repay you."

"What is there to repay? We are all human beings, and in this kind of world, we should help each other."

Josie's lips curled into a sarcastic smile. "That won't do. You have to repay someone for what they've given you."

Seeing that she hesitated to pick up her chopsticks, the crew-cut leader said, "It's nothing serious. If you really want to repay me, you can do so in the future."

"Well, I don't like owing favors, so I'd rather repay you now."

"Now?" The man with the buzz cut looked at her in surprise. "How do you plan to repay me?"

With that, the dagger was already pressed against his head. Josie's lips curled into a smile. "How about this as a way of repaying you?"

"Little girl, you're really joking..." The man with the buzz cut remained expressionless, forcing a friendly smile onto his fierce face, which looked extremely incongruous.

"I'm not joking, I'll only crack open your skull."

The crew-cut man clearly realized that they had noticed something.

"How...how did you know?" The man with the buzz cut's face turned ferocious.

While speaking, he winked at the person next to him.

Josie sneered: "I visited your 'farm' last night. ...You are insane, more disgusting than zombies."

"The strong prey on the weak, that's the law of the apocalypse!" Uncle Hu roared, his kind mask completely shattered. "We just adapted faster than you! If I hadn't done this, my grandson and I wouldn't be alive now!"

Josie pushed the dagger forward, slashing a bloody gash across the crew-cut face: "No, you just chose to be beasts."

The crew-cut man winced in pain and swung his hand at Josie's wrist, yelling, "Kill them!"

Lu Yuyang was prepared; the ice arrow pierced through his palm the instant he raised his hand.

"Ah!" the man cried out in pain, staring at his palm pierced by the ice arrow, before belatedly realizing that they were superhumans.

"A superhuman?"

The man with the buzz cut had bloodshot eyes, but he was staring at Uncle Hu.

He repeatedly emphasized that he should observe first and must not provoke those with superpowers.

That old bastard actually brought back a superhuman!
