Chapter Seven: Sleeping in Each Other's Arms
This incident plunged Josie into despair.
Seeing that Lu Yuyang and his group were heading towards the survivor camp, she knew it was time for her to leave!
"Wait..." Lu Yuyang suddenly raised his hand to signal the team to stop.
Just as Josh was about to leave, he heard him say, "That group of people came from that direction. Let's change course."
She immediately withdrew her movement as she was about to transform.

By the moonlight, he pulled out a piece of paper, his expression changing slightly.
"It's you?"

The piece of paper suddenly disappeared from his fingers, and Josie's figure gradually solidified under the moonlight.

Lu Yuyang stopped in his tracks. "Is there anything else?"
"Hmm, do you have a destination in mind? If not, you can go to the nearby safe zone."
If they were going to the safe zone, she could follow him along the way and recharge with his help.
"A safe zone?" Lu Yuyang was clearly hearing this for the first time, and his expression turned serious. "An officially controlled area?"
"Yes, you could say that. If you want to get to the safe zone, I can give you directions."
Lu Yuyang scrutinized the beautiful girl in front of him. Her special ability was unique; she even knew about the existence of the safe zone.

Josie had certainly been there, but that was in her past life.

Josie's words made Lu Yuyang's handsome and refreshing face turn serious.
"Thank you for telling me all this. How far is the nearest safe zone from us?"
“It’s quite far,” Josie shifted her pace slightly, smiling at him. “It would probably take a month to walk, but I know a shortcut that can save a third of the time.”
Just as Lu Yuyang was about to ask another question, the sound of footsteps behind him interrupted their conversation.
"Senior, so you were here."
Lu Yuyang turned around and answered, but when he turned back again, Qiao Xi had already disappeared without a trace.
He instinctively reached into all his pockets, but they were empty.
Back at the gas station, she was nowhere to be seen.
Before going to bed, he checked his pockets one last time.
"Are you there?" he asked in a low voice.
The junior next to him looked up in confusion: "Senior, are you calling me?"
"Cough...no."
Lu Yuyang had no choice but to remain silent and close his eyes to rest.
Josie, who had turned into stone, hid in the corner and couldn't help but laugh.
If she wants to stay here, she has to maintain her value.
At least until she leaves on her own initiative, she will not directly tell them the location of the safe zone; she will lead them there herself.
After waiting in vain for forty hours without any results, Lu Yuyang, who had not slept for a while, relaxed, took a nap, and never woke up again.
Exhausted, the group lay sprawled across the room, soon the only sound being their even breathing.
In the latter half of the night, Lu Yuyang felt a soft, warm sensation in his sleep.
His palm unconsciously clenched, and the unfamiliar touch jolted him awake.
In the darkness, I couldn't see the face of the person next to me, but that faint fragrance was all too familiar.
It's Josie!
Wake up!
He quickly stopped and woke her up.
Josie was half asleep when she instinctively snuggled closer to him, her warm lips pressing against his chest through her thin undershirt.
Wherever her lips touched, Lu Yuyang felt as if he were struck by an electric current.
He stood taut, trying to create distance between himself and her, but the girl pressed down on his clothes, preventing him from getting away.
Out of concern for his sleeping companion, he could only purse his lips and gently rock the girl in his arms.
Josie finally opened her eyes, half-asleep: "So sleepy, what's up?"
"You're pressing down on my clothes." His voice seemed to be suppressing some emotion.
Josie then realized that she was lying in the other person's arms. She tried to pull away, but her clothes were pressed under her, and the two of them remained in an ambiguous position.
Now Josh was completely awake.
Remembering that he felt uncomfortable in his stone form, he transformed back into human form in the middle of the night.
I never expected to be so close.
"Sorry, I was half asleep." She yawned and instantly turned to stone.
"Come out with me for a moment."
The team members on night duty vaguely heard some noise and, when they turned around, they could vaguely see Lu Yuyang talking to someone.
But in the blink of an eye, where did everyone go?
He rubbed his eyes, then rubbed them again.
Am I seeing things, or am I seeing a ghost?
