Chapter 2 Lightning Abilities

So far, the space ring has stockpiled 1,000 tons of meat, 3,000 tons of rice and flour, 100,000 boxes of instant noodles, 4,000 tons of mineral water, and 3,000 tons of purified water.

Two thousand seven hundred tons of various vegetable cooking oils, eight hundred tons of vegetables, five hundred tons of fruits, and one hundred tons of compressed biscuits.

The main meat is pork, but chicken, duck, fish and beef are also available. Most instant noodles are in cup form, with various flavors including braised, spicy and so on. All kinds of vegetables are available, such as cabbage, bok choy, radish and cabbage.

The main fruits are watermelon and cantaloupe, because these two have the highest water content, and there are also quite a few apples and pears.

As for the compressed biscuits, he didn't plan to eat them.

On the one hand, it's hard to swallow; on the other hand, it's for the purpose of exchanging it for something more valuable in the future.

This stuff may not taste great and it's easy to choke on, but it's definitely filling.

This small package is equivalent to four steamed buns, so you can imagine how valuable it is in the apocalypse.

Fifty million worth of supplies was barely enough. Although Zhang Hao wanted to get more for free, he simply didn't have enough money.

The suppliers aren't stupid; they wouldn't provide supplies if the quantity exceeded the supermarket's capacity.

Zhang Hao's supermarket has only two floors.

Moreover, each floor occupies less than 200 square meters, which is incomparable to those large supermarkets, and they are unwilling to take on greater risks.

Of course, it wasn't just food; he also stocked up on some living tools, such as nylon rope, tents, compasses, flashlights, cell phones, computers, binoculars, maps, generators, portable solar charging panels, lighters, and so on.

Even though you can't access the internet on your phone in the apocalypse, you can still download some study materials.

You can also play single-player games or watch some action movies to pass the time.

As for medicine, Zhang Hao did not stockpile too much.

They only purchased a small amount of alcohol, bandages, gauze, iodine, anti-inflammatory drugs, and antibiotics.

Because the human body is still very fragile in the early stages of the apocalypse, it does require ordinary drug treatment.

But before long, some of the lucky ones will awaken various superpowers, such as nature-based, flesh-based, elemental-based, mental-based, spatial-based, and so on.

Humans can gradually enhance their physical constitution through superpowers. Minor injuries will heal on their own without the need for medication, while severe injuries may lead to death before medication can be administered.

In his previous life, Zhang Hao awakened his lightning elemental abilities on the day the apocalypse broke out.

This kind of ability is quite common, and it seems to be similar to the mage class in games.

However, not every lightning element awakener is a mage, because everyone's special talents are different, which leads to vastly different abilities even among awakeners of the same element.

Some people can control their supernatural abilities to form spherical lightning bolts in their hands, which can cause tremendous damage.

Some can spread electric arcs through their pores, thus paralyzing the enemy's nerves; others can attach lightning to swords to make them sharper.

On the second day after Zhang Hao awakened his superpower, he comprehended a unique ability.

He can activate his supernatural abilities to generate lightning within his body, thereby stimulating his cells and keeping them in a state of high-intensity activation, thus making his body stronger.

When lightning strikes its limit, it can even cause lightning to continuously erupt from every pore of the body.

It forms a lightning armor that covers the entire body, creating a double layer of defense with the physical body.

Moreover, stimulating brain cells can make nerve reactions even faster.

He named this ability "Thunder Tempering".

His powerful physique made him completely fearless against low-level zombies.

Zhang Hao continued to slaughter zombies and grew stronger, soon surpassing the vast majority of awakened beings. Before long, he mastered long-range lightning abilities.

Thus, he became a rare tanky mage.

He is virtually invincible in both ranged and melee combat; even a single person can overpower tens of thousands of low-level zombies.

From then on, he had a title—Thunder God of War!

Unfortunately, in his past life, he was a lone wolf.

No matter how strong one person is, it is impossible to defeat everyone. Moreover, Zhang Hao occupied a supermarket, a place with abundant resources, and was quickly targeted by many top awakened teams.

A major battle was about to break out. He was outnumbered and severely wounded, and was on the verge of dying on the spot.

However, perhaps it was fate that brought them to this.

He was rescued by a hidden earth-elemental awakened being, but the enemy was in hot pursuit. In order to buy time, this awakened being sacrificed himself to cover the retreat.

He bravely faced death, and was fortunate enough to be saved.

He later learned that the awakened person was Fang Ping, an employee of his supermarket.

In his previous life, when the apocalypse broke out, Zhang Hao wanted to be a lone wolf.

So they gave Fang Ping, who seemed to like them, some supplies so he could join other awakened teams and stick together for warmth. But this guy was a sentimental person, and he was easily moved by even the smallest favor.

He remembered Zhang Hao's kindness to him, so he was willing to sacrifice his life to cover the retreat.

Although he eventually returned to Linhai City and wiped out the Awakened forces that had besieged him, Fang Ping could never come back.

Zhang Hao clenched his fist and said with a firm expression, "Fang Ping, you won't have the chance to die in this life, but I will lead you to build the strongest Awakened Force and become the uncrowned king of Linhai City!"

In the end times, one person cannot succeed alone.

No matter how strong an individual is, they cannot fight against the whole world. Not to mention that the crisis of the apocalypse is like a raging storm, and a slight mistake can lead to death. Only by uniting can we survive.

Of course, he doesn't accept just anyone.

Everyone understands the principle of "better to have none than to have something of poor quality," and perhaps ordinary people will be needed when the production line is rebuilt in the future.

But at least in the early stages of the apocalypse, that's not necessary, so he only needs elites.
