Chapter 46 I'm really a smart one

Upon hearing the reminder, everyone went up to the second floor.

Hundreds of zombies were howling in front of the supermarket.

Two level-three zombies charged across the street, exuding a violent aura.

Zhang Hao's expression changed slightly: "Two level three zombies. The strength of zombies of this level is completely incomparable to that of level two. If they rush over, they will break down the door. We must stop them!"

It seemed he had no choice but to get soaked in the rain, so Zhang Hao decided to jump off.

For a Level 3 Awakened, this height is as easy as jumping stairs.

He planned to quickly eliminate the two zombies.

But Fang Ping stepped forward, his expression resolute, and said, "Boss, let me do it! I can't let you handle everything. Besides, I've never fought a level three zombie before. I think I can take him down!"

"But these are two level three zombies..."

Before he could finish speaking, Fang Ping looked at Wu Yanfeng beside him: "The other one is yours. Do you have the guts? If you don't, you're a coward."

"Hehe, what's there to be afraid of?"

Wu Yanfeng also stepped forward.

They showed no fear whatsoever of the so-called Level 3 zombies.

We're all level 3, what's so difficult about killing a level 3 zombie?

Zhang Hao's expression shifted slightly, but he finally nodded: "Go ahead, keep in touch via walkie-talkie anytime."

"Okay, boss."

The two leaped down and headed straight for the two zombies.

Although the other team members couldn't get involved, they were responsible for clearing out the nearby level-two zombies to prevent them from being disturbed.

Zhang Hao asked, "Ya Ya, do you think they can succeed?"

"It's hard to say. Ordinary zombies are fine, and superpowered zombies are also alright, but if it's an intelligent superpowered zombie, then it's hard to say," Raven said honestly.

Don't be fooled by how easily Zhang Hao killed the cleaver-wielding zombie of the same level.

That's because he had rich combat experience from his previous life, and with the addition of Raven's mental attack, he succeeded. Otherwise, any second-level awakened person would have been killed.

If these two zombies were intelligent, super-powered zombies, then the outcome would be truly uncertain.

In their previous lives, Fang Ping and Wu Yanfeng possessed extraordinary combat abilities, but that was honed through countless battles.

However, Fang Ping and Wu Yanfeng are too inexperienced right now and have no experience in dealing with superpowered zombies. But with him behind them to keep things under control, they don't need to worry about their safety.

On the street.

The two stood in the rain, waiting for the zombies to come.

They all looked excited, clearly their hearts were far from calm.

Fang Ping chuckled and said, "Old Wu, wanna make a bet? Who can kill faster?"

"What's there to be afraid of? What are we betting on?"

"Let's bet 100 contribution points. You've saved up quite a few by now, haven't you?"

"Let's gamble!"

Fang Ping suddenly thought, "I reached level three before you. You won't cheat if you lose, will you?"

"Do you really think that battles are all about strength? Sometimes, the strength of one's superpower system can be the key to victory or defeat. I don't think I'm that unlucky."

Wu Yanfeng's words made Fang Ping take things a little more seriously.

What the other person said is indeed very true.

The two had just finished talking when the two zombies approached.

Fang Ping and Wu Yanfeng's expressions immediately turned sharp. The two moved in opposite directions, widening the distance between them to prevent hindering each other's performance.

The zombies also separated from them.

This suggests that these two zombies do not appear to be intelligent.

Fang Ping and Wu Yanfeng understood.

But they did not let their guard down.

As the two created distance between themselves, they activated their long-range skills [Earth Spikes] and [Ice Blade].

Clatter! Clatter! Clatter!

One after another, earth spikes and ice blades shot out from the sky.

The target was the head, and the technique was swift and decisive.

However, the zombie moved its feet and quickly avoided the seemingly fatal attack.

"Intelligent? No! But why didn't they pay attention when I lured them earlier?"

"I understand. This zombie is somewhat intelligent, but not much. It's nothing compared to the cleaver zombie the boss encountered before."

Fang Ping and Wu Yanfeng's pupils contracted slightly, and they began to suspect something.

In an instant, they understood everything.

"Roar! Roar roar!"

The zombies roared wildly and attacked at close range.

Fang Ping drew his refined short sword, dodging the attack as it slashed at his arm.

With a ripping sound, blood gushed out.

However, the damage was minimal and did not affect the zombies' movement at all.

"As expected, it's not a tank build, so the damage is a bit lacking, but it's okay."

Without further hesitation, Fang Ping charged forward again.

The zombie roared, and three bone spikes emerged from its fingertips, looking incredibly sharp.

But Fang Ping showed no intention of dodging; soil surged up from the ground and covered his entire body in the blink of an eye.

The powerful defense prevented the bone spike from piercing through, and at the same time, the short knife in his hand swiftly slashed towards his neck, and his head fell off with a thud.

Fang Ping breathed a sigh of relief and finished it off.

But it's really not easy.

His gaze shifted to the side; Wu Yanfeng's fighting style was completely different from his own.

He constantly harassed and wore down the zombies, preventing them from attacking, while simultaneously using his ice blades to whittle them down from a distance.

The zombies spewed fireballs, but he blocked them with ice.

Finally, exhausted, Wu Yanfeng fired an ice arrow that pierced the zombie's head.

Fang Ping scoffed, "You're really slow, much slower than me."

"What do you know? This is the safest way. Your desperate fighting style is a disadvantage."

"Tch, you're just a coward, what excuse are you making?"

"I'm too lazy to waste words with you. Hurry up and go back, the boss is getting impatient."

"Don't forget the 100 contribution points."

"You'll get your share."
