Chapter 110: Night Visit to Black Wind Village

The night is so thick that it cannot be dissolved.

The off-road vehicle stopped silently in an abandoned farmland two kilometers away from Heifengzhai, and several dead fruit trees formed a natural barrier.

"Are you all clear about your tasks?" Lu Shiyan spoke in the dead silent night.

Xiao Han flexed his wrists and said, "Don't worry, Mr. Lu, leave the periphery to me and A'Mo. I will make sure that not even a fly can fly in or out."

A'mo remained silent, looking down to check the gun at his waist and the saber at his leg. Every movement was precise and efficient.

Li Kui clenched the fire axe in his hand. The axe blade had been re-sharpened, and although there was still a small gap, it had regained some of its sharpness.

Jin Dongdong clenched his fists and said, "Brother Lu, Sister Su Wan, I remember the route and I know the pattern of their patrols."

Su Wan patted his cold arm and said, "Don't be afraid, we are here."

She then turned to Lu Shiyan: "When are we leaving?"

Lu Shiyan raised his wrist and glanced at his watch: "Wait another ten minutes. That's when they change shifts, and it's also when they are least alert."

Ten minutes passed in a flash.

Jin Dongdong walked in front to lead the way, and Su Wan followed closely behind, raising the night vision goggles from time to time to observe all the movements around him.

Lu Shiyan and Li Kui were responsible for the rearguard action, being vigilant against any possible danger.

As for Xiao Han and A'mo, they had already disappeared into the outer darkness. Their mission was to eliminate all potential threats and intercept any enemies that might escape.

Heifengzhai, the abandoned factory, was exactly as Jin Dongdong described, with tall walls and a cold barbed wire on the top.

The main door was closed, and there was a faint flickering light behind the door, probably from the night watchman.

Xiao Han received a message from the simple communicator on Su Wan's waist: "The secret sentries outside have been dealt with, don't worry."

Lu Shiyan nodded slightly and motioned to continue.

Jin Dongdong pointed to a gap in the fence that had been patched up with wooden boards and barbed wire: "It's here. It's the weakest part and it's far from their doghouse."

Lu Shiyan made a quick gesture.

Li Kui immediately understood, took a step forward, pulled out an engineer shovel from his waist, and carefully began to pry the nailed wooden boards.

His movements were so gentle that they made almost no sound.

Su Wan took out the metal detector and pressed the switch tentatively.

The screen lit up, still showing those puzzling symbols and a straight baseline.

She tried to aim the detector at the inside of the factory. The baseline trembled slightly, but soon returned to calm.

"How is it?" Lu Shiyan whispered in her ear.

Su Wan shook her head: "No special reaction. Maybe the distance is too far, or there is no such 'energy fluctuation' as they say."

Su Wan recalled what Jin Dongdong had said before: "He said that Black Wolf was holding this and wandering around certain places in the village."

"Let's go in first." Lu Shiyan gestured.

At this moment, Li Kui had successfully pried off a piece of wood, revealing a gap that was just wide enough for one person to pass through.

He looked inside vigilantly for a moment, then nodded to Lu Shiyan.

Lu Shiyan went in first, followed closely by Li Kui.

Next came Su Wan and Jin Dongdong.

The inside of the factory is much larger and more chaotic than it appears from the outside.

There were discarded machine parts and piles of debris everywhere, and the air was filled with the pungent smell of rust and engine oil.

"Come with me."

They cleverly avoided several lighted sentry posts. Jin Dongdong knew the terrain here very well and could always find the most hidden path.

"The warehouse is in front." Jin Dongdong pointed to a two-story concrete building not far away. "Most of their supplies are stored there. Behind the warehouse is the kitchen and utility room. We go in through the window of the utility room. There is usually no one there."

Lu Shiyan quickly glanced around and gave Li Kui a wink.

Li Kui understood what he meant, tightly gripped the fire axe in his hand, and took the lead to move towards the utility room.

Su Wan raised the detector again, this time pointing it in the direction of the warehouse.

The baseline on the screen suddenly reacted and began to jump violently and irregularly. The instrument also made a faint but rapid "beeping" sound.

"There is a reaction!" Su Wan, "Although it's not strong, there is indeed a fluctuation!"

Lu Shiyan judged: "It seems that the good things are indeed hidden in the warehouse."

At this moment, a low dog barking sound came from not far away without warning, breaking the tranquility of the night.

"Oh no! It's the dog they raised!" Jin Dongdong was anxious.

The barking of dogs was getting closer and closer, mixed with a few rude shouts.

"Damn, who's there!"

Several dazzling beams of flashlight cut through the darkness, sweeping around randomly.

Lu Shiyan made a prompt decision and gave orders to Su Wan and Jin Dongdong: "You hide first, Li Kui and I will deal with it!"

"Be careful!" Su Wan grabbed Jin Dongdong, and the two quickly hid behind a pile of discarded tires.

Lu Shiyan and Li Kui looked at each other, and with a flash of their figures, they rushed towards the flashlights and the barking of dogs.

In the darkness, a vicious dog pounced first, and its smelly saliva almost splashed onto Li Kui's face.

His heart skipped a beat and he subconsciously raised his fire axe. Lu Shiyan reminded him, "Left!"

At the same time, a black shadow passed by and directly broke the neck of another vicious dog.

Li Kui calmed himself down, and faced with the vicious dog that was rushing towards him. He followed what Lu Shiyan had taught him before, leaning sideways to avoid the bite, and using the momentum of the fire axe in his hand to chop down fiercely!

"Puchi" was the dull sound of the axe blade cutting into flesh.

Immediately afterwards, a man holding a machete rushed over cursing. Lu Shiyan had appeared behind him silently. With a swipe of his machete, the man fell silently.

Just as another enemy was about to shout, Li Kui used all his strength to swing the fire axe across and hit the opponent right in the chest.

After the heavy crash, the world suddenly became quiet.

After a moment, Lu Shiyan said, "It's safe."

Su Wan and Jin Dongdong finally breathed a sigh of relief and walked out from behind the tire.

There were two burly vicious dogs lying on the ground, and two men in tattered clothes, both dead.

"Let's go to the warehouse." Lu Shiyan did not delay at all and led everyone forward.

The window of the utility room was indeed not locked. Li Kui pried it open with a military shovel and it opened.

Lu Shiyan climbed in first, and Su Wan followed closely behind.

The utility room was filled with all kinds of junk and exuded a strong musty smell.

Passing through the utility room is a dim corridor, at the end of which is the warehouse door.

The door of the warehouse was a heavy iron door with a huge copper lock hanging on it.

"This lock..." Jin Dongdong stepped forward and took a closer look. "It's specially made. It's a bit troublesome."

Su Wan looked at Jin Dongdong: "Can you open it?"

Jin Dongdong took a deep breath and took out a set of small lock-picking tools that were simple in style but well-maintained from his arms. He carefully observed the huge copper lock and frowned slightly.

"The structure is a little more complicated than I thought. I'll try it. It may take some time." As he said this, he selected the thinnest lever and a small pin and carefully inserted them into the keyhole.

Lu Shiyan looked vigilantly at both ends of the corridor, guarding against enemies that might appear at any time.

Su Wan also clenched the pistol in his hand, his nerves tense, ready to deal with any emergency at any time.

As time passed, beads of sweat appeared on Jin Dongdong's forehead.

The warehouse was eerily quiet, with only the extremely slight metallic friction sound made by him fiddling with the lock cylinder.

“Click.”

With an inaudible sound, the copper lock opened.

Jin Dongdong let out a long sigh and wiped the sweat from his forehead: "Okay!"

Lu Shiyan nodded to him, then reached out and pushed open the heavy iron door.

A strong aroma of food mixed with a unique smell of medicine came to his face, and Su Wan's eyes lit up! The supplies of this group of people were much more than expected.

The space inside the warehouse is extremely large, with rows of shelves filled with all kinds of supplies.

Rice, flour, various canned foods, compressed biscuits, as well as boxes of mineral water and various beverages.

On the other side are piles of urgently needed medical supplies such as medicines, gauze, bandages, etc.

There were even a few large oil drums standing in the corner, emitting a faint smell of gasoline.

Su Wan was no longer polite. With a wave of her hand, the supplies on the shelves disappeared in pieces and were swept into space by her. "I'm rich!"

Li Kui and Jin Dongdong were stunned.

Lu Shiyan ignored all this and walked straight into the depths of the warehouse, where there seemed to be a small room that was deliberately separated.

After Su Wan stored all the food and medicine into the space, he quickly followed.

The beeping alarm of the metal detector in her hand became more and more rapid, almost exploding!

All pointers were pointing madly to the small separated room deep in the warehouse!

Lu Shiyan looked towards the small room: "It seems that Black Wolf's treasure is in there."
