Su Wan turned her head suddenly.
Xiao Han!
He strode out of the crowd, his fists clenched so hard that they made a creaking sound.
Su Wanxin asked, what is Xiao Han going to do? She wanted to pull him, but Lu Shiyan gently pressed his hand on her arm, signaling her not to move.
Scorpion's eyes were fixed on Xiao Han like nails, and a sneer of watching the fun appeared on the corner of his mouth:
"Oh? Any different opinions?"

Scorpion narrowed his eyes, a cold light flashing in his eyes: "Interesting. I thought everyone in this base had learned to keep their mouths shut."
He walked to the edge of the platform and looked down at Xiao Han as if he was looking at an ant that didn't know whether to live or die.
"Tell me, brave sir, what is your name?"
"Xiao Han."
Xiao Han stiffened his neck, refusing to back down, and stared straight into the scorpion's venomous eyes.
"Xiao Han..." Scorpion muttered the name slowly. Suddenly, his eyes lit up. "Ah, it's you! The new guy who entered the base with Lu Shiyan."
Su Wan's heart skipped a beat.
Exposed so quickly? Pan Yong, the old fox, was right. Scorpion knew them all.
"Well, brave Mr. Xiao," Scorpion grinned, revealing a hair-raising smile, "Since you like to meddle in other people's business so much, why don't you make a more interesting decision?"
He waved his hand.
The two men immediately dragged the mother and son away from the platform.
Then, Scorpion pointed to a group of trembling guards not far away:
"There are twenty of my men there. Each of them is looking at ten useless people from Area C - old, young, sickly... all of them are burdens that only waste food."
Scorpion pulled out a pistol from his waist and threw it to Xiao Han.
"You have two choices. One, you get out of here right now and pretend you didn't see anything. I promise I won't bother with you."
"Second, you use this gun to kill me now." Scorpion paused, then smiled even wider, "As for the price... those two hundred worthless lives will be destroyed when you pull the trigger. Make your choice."
The people in the audience gasped.
This is a fucking dead end!

Su Wan and Lu Shiyan looked at each other.

He clapped his hands. "You win, Mr. Xiao. You're so cruel."
"As a reward, the mother and son can leave with their food. I also promise that I won't touch a hair on those two hundred bastards."
He walked down the platform, came in front of Xiao Han, and reached out to take back the pistol.
The muzzle of the gun still had the residual warmth from Xiao Han's head.
"But I'm curious," Scorpion stared into Xiao Han's eyes, "If I tell you now that what happened just now was just a small test. Those people have never been really dangerous. Will you regret pointing a gun at your head just now?"
Xiao Han pulled the corner of his mouth, with a look of disdain: "I never do anything I regret."
Scorpion's eyes flickered, staring at him for a long time: "You have the guts. Tell me, Lu Shiyan and Su Wan are here too, right?"
Xiao Han said nothing.
But Scorpio apparently already knew the answer.
His eyes swept through the crowd and soon fell on where Lu Shiyan and Su Wan were hiding.
"Mr. Lu, Miss Su," he raised his voice, as if calling her soul, "Hiding from each other is so boring. Come out and meet each other."
Lu Shiyan had an expressionless face. He held Su Wan's hand and walked out of the crowd.
He stood next to Xiao Han.
The three men stood side by side, facing Scorpion and his dark men, without any fear on their faces.
"I'm back. Mission accomplished." Scorpion walked around the three of them, his eyes looking as if he was sizing up a rare item he had just acquired.
"Material distribution is your stage?" Lu Shiyan said coldly, with no disguising the disgust in his voice.
Scorpion was not angry, but laughed even more: "Life itself is a play, Mr. Lu. Someone plays the hunter, and someone else plays the prey. I just... let them find their own roles."
He suddenly moved closer to Su Wan, his eyes fixed on her flat belly.
"Oh, this is the legendary Miss Su? I heard that you are pregnant with a...remarkable little thing?"
Su Wan? How did he know that?!
Lu Shiyan's body moved forward imperceptibly, just in time to block Su Wan's half. Scorpion even knew that Su Wan was pregnant, and pointed out that it was "special". How did the news leak out? Could it be that Lei Laohu...
"What the hell are you talking about?" He rarely used a swear word.
Su Wan hid herself behind Lu Shiyan, wishing she could become invisible.

In the crowd, a few people who were close to the crowd were so frightened that their calves were cramping and they were trembling as they moved backwards.
A thin girl covered her mouth tightly, fearing that loud breathing would bring trouble.
The scorpion took a breath with satisfaction, as if tasting some delicious food, and squinted his eyes in ecstasy.
He took a small step back, his eyes sweeping over the faces that were distorted by fear.
"See?" His voice was not loud, but it hit everyone's heart like a whip, "This is my territory!"
