Chapter 38 Conflict in the Cave

The hand holding the gun loosened inside the raincoat, "Thank you, brother."

Yang Haochen stood at the entrance of the cave, watching the group of people getting closer and closer.

They moved aside at the cave entrance, and the first person who came in saw the dry ground inside and the faint smell of medicine, and couldn't help but take a few more glances.

Yang Haochen pretended not to notice the man's gaze: "You can go inside, the place is big."

The man glanced at him and said, "Brother, my name is Song Hai, nice to meet you. Thank you so much for this time."

"Yang Hao, you're welcome."

Song Hai smiled and pointed to a torch at the cave entrance: "Can you lend me a light?"

He was about to go down and check it out, but Yang Haochen raised his chin slightly and said, "Whatever you want."

Gu Ran's eyes never left the man as he watched Song Hai go down with a torch, while Jiang Wenxi wrapped herself in a blanket and closed her eyes to rest.

Song Hai checked and found that the cave below was indeed very large, and there was some dry firewood, probably pulled back by something else.

Apart from the bugs, I didn't see any other living creatures, so I felt relieved.

"Come in!"

The rest of the people filed into the cave. Although the temperature was very high, the rain on their bodies made them feel inexplicably cold.

As soon as they entered the cave, most people took off their outer clothes and wrung out the water.

"This weather is really weird. When can we go out?"

"I feel a little itchy."

The people who entered the cave began to talk at once, and the three of them listened in silence.

Some people didn't want to rush forward when they saw the fire, so Gu Ran pulled out a dagger and blocked it in front of them: "Don't come over."

Yang Haochen walked into the cave: "Brother, take care of your people. My brother has a bad temper. If he gets angry, I can't stop him."

Song Hai had already seen his men passing by and deliberately did not stop them, wanting to test their attitude: "Li Hu, come down."

There were many people who had the same idea as Li Hu. They were all wet and wanted to warm themselves by the fire.

Song Hai lit the firewood below. Because it was damp, there was a lot of smoke, and someone ran to the cave entrance coughing.

There is limited firewood in the nest and it won't last long.

"Boss, there's not enough firewood."

Most of the creatures that are pulled back to make nests are relatively soft and cannot withstand burning.

Looking at the wood that continued to burn above, people were extremely jealous and exchanged glances with each other.

I thought they were a lot of people, but now that I see there are only three of them, I instantly feel a lot braver.

Song Hai stood up first and walked over as if he knew the person well. "Brother, your firewood is pretty good. Where did you get it?"

"We picked it up in the forest ahead. We roasted it for a long time."

There was quite a bit of broken wood along the way, and there was no doubt about that. Some shameless people had already taken down another torch from the cave entrance and were slowly heating their clothes with it.

Yang Haochen didn't get angry when he saw it, and said calmly: "If you want to roast it, stand at the entrance of the cave. If there is no torch, other monsters will come in."

Song Hai shamelessly chatted with Yang Haochen about this and that in order to get some warmth.

Yang Haochen welcomed this move very much. He wanted more than anything else to take the initiative to hand over the hostages.

Gu Ran was still staring at the people below, observing the situation.

They had little firewood to begin with, and some people even divided it into several piles so they could use it to dry their clothes.

Seeing that two more people wanted to come over, Yang Haochen gave Gu Ran a look. Usually they would make a fuss.

But the combat habits they developed over a long period of time allowed them to cooperate well. Although Gu Ran seemed stupid sometimes, when it came to fighting, his reactions were extremely fast and his comprehension was extremely strong.

He stood up quickly and said, "Get back."

The two men who came up were defeated, and when they saw that the other party was young, they immediately drew their knives and stabbed towards Gu Ran.

"ah!"

They only saw Gu Ran dodge the attack to the side and kick the man down, while the other one felt a pain in his shoulder and the dagger in his hand fell to the ground with a snap.

"My hand."

The man covered his arms and wailed below. Yang Haochen's gun was already against Song Hai's forehead, and Song Hai's gun was also removed by Yang Haochen.

"Don't get excited, brother."

Song Hai's eyes were blazing with anger. "Don't go too far."

He was shouting, but in his heart he was afraid because they moved too fast.

Yang Haochen snorted and laughed: "Brother, if your people didn't know what's good for them, we wouldn't have taken action. We agreed on this before, and it was you who broke the rules first."

In the current situation, Song Hai didn't dare to act rashly, knowing that killing a person here was as easy as crushing an ant.

“Brother Yang, it’s my fault for not managing the brothers well, and the brothers are too cold. I want to borrow some fire, and the misunderstandings are all misunderstandings.”

Jiang Wenxi turned sideways and sneered. If they had been a little weaker, they would have been driven out of the cave or killed by them.

Yang Haochen chuckled twice, removed the pistol, but did not return the seized gun, "Xiaoran, come back"

"I think Brother Song understands our difficulties. This place is different from the outside, so we should be more careful."

After the forced suppression, the people below became much more obedient.

They had no choice but to be honest, as their boss was being held captive and the fire at the cave entrance was no longer as strong as before.

The fire below was almost out, and there were occasional sneezes.

Someone below shouted, "Boss, there's no fire. We're too cold."

Song Hai was not a fool, and he felt something was wrong when he heard the continuous sneezing.

"Brother, we were reckless just now. It's very cold, brothers. Can you lend me a light?"

Someone below already had a gun in his hand, and the threat was obvious.

Yang Haochen sneered: "If I don't agree, are you going to force it?"

Song Hai was gambling. They were few in number, and one of them had been lying down since he came in, either injured or sick.
