Chapter 140: Getting Worse

Looking at the pile of clean felt furs hanging out to dry, Xiao Yi gradually felt a sense of peace. He knew that his efforts had not been in vain, and every hunt and tidying was for a better tomorrow. He believed that as long as he continued to work hard and persevere, he would be able to achieve his goals. This pile of felt furs was not only the guarantee of his livelihood, but also the sustenance of his soul and the source of his strength. In the days to come, Xiao Yi would continue to work hard, keep moving forward, and prove his worth and beliefs with his actions. It was unknown where this white-haired monster came from, but it seemed to have an endless presence. In this vast world, white-haired monsters have always been a puzzling mystery. Their origins and purpose are shrouded in mystery, which makes people wonder about their existence endlessly.

First, there are many different theories about the origins of these monsters. Some believe they come from distant, exotic lands, perhaps variants of unknown creatures, or even experiments conducted by alien beings. Others believe these monsters have always been hidden in our familiar world, only to suddenly appear for some reason.

Whatever their origins, the fear and distress these white-haired monsters bring to the people is undeniable. Whenever they appear, they are always accompanied by waves of terrified screams and chaos. Their roars are deafening, as if they want to swallow the entire world. And when they disappear, they leave behind only devastation and the terrified people.

Furthermore, the appearance of these monsters has sparked speculation about the unknown forces of nature. Is the awakening of some unknown natural force the cause of these monsters? Or is their appearance the product of some unspoken conspiracy? Whatever the truth, we must acknowledge that these white-haired monsters have become a force to be reckoned with. Their appearance has not only brought panic and anxiety to the people, but also brought new challenges and unforeseen possibilities to the world. In this base filled with superpowers and the unknown, the brave superpowers shine like stars. Their unique abilities bring new possibilities to the world and make them the backbone of the resistance against the white-haired monsters.

Some of these superpowers could manipulate fire, some unleash powerful lightning, and still others control time and space. Every battle they fought was like a passionate hymn, resonating in every corner. Their strength and courage gave people hope and strengthened their resolve to fight the white-haired monster.

Yet, despite the valiant efforts of the psychics, who saw more victories than losses, the white-haired monsters continued to spread like wildfire, showing no sign of diminishing, but rather increasing in number. They resembled an endless darkness, intent on devouring all light. This led people to wonder: where did these white-haired monsters come from? Were they a product of nature, or the awakening of some unknown power?

In Xiao Yi's heart, a strong sense of urgency was like a surging undercurrent, constantly churning and stirring. This thought, like a cold iron chain, tightly bound his soul, making him unable to sit still.

He looked around. The white-haired monsters flashed their cold eyes in the dark night, staring at their prey like hungry wolves. Their numbers were increasing, like a spreading plague, devouring everything around them.

It is indeed not advisable to stay here for long!

Xiao Yi's eyes flashed with determination. He knew that every decision he made could affect the fate of countless people. He couldn't hesitate or retreat. He had to stand tall, face this cruel world, and use his wisdom and courage to protect the people he loved.

A deep voice kept echoing in their minds: "We must leave here as soon as possible!" This voice, like thunder, echoed in everyone's heart, awakening their inner courage and determination.

In the early morning light, Xiao Yi, dressed neatly, whispered to Yu Wei cautiously. His voice was low and serious, as if hiding some unknown secret.

"I'm about to go out and may not be back on time after nightfall," he whispered. "You must remember, no matter what happens, do not open this door lightly. Proceed with caution."

Yu Wei looked at him, a hint of worry flashing in her eyes, but more of it was determination and trust. She nodded gently and responded, "Don't worry, I will keep your instructions in mind."

Xiao Yi took a deep breath, turned around and walked out the door. The moment he disappeared into the morning mist, the whole world seemed to quiet down. Only the closed door and the determined gaze behind it remained.

Yu Wei saw Xiao Yi's serious face and knew that this was no small matter. She nodded seriously, telling Xiao Yi with her actions that she would stick to her promise and would not open the door easily no matter what happened.

This simple action, however, contained a thousand words. She believed in Xiao Yi, and also believed in herself. Her eyes were firm and deep, as if telling Xiao Yi: You can go without worry, I will take care of the family.

This silent trust and commitment is more moving than any bold words. It makes Xiao Yi feel warm and strengthens his faith. He knows that no matter how difficult the road ahead is, he cannot let Yu Wei down.

Xiao Yi got ready and stepped out of the house cautiously. He knew that this world was no longer the peaceful place it once was. Awakened people with special abilities were wandering in the dark, and they could be in danger if they were not careful.

He deftly avoided the wary awakened ones, like a cheetah darting through the jungle, silently. Every move he made was precise and decisive, as if an innate instinct was driving him to gain the upper hand in this game of survival.

The white-haired monsters, a terrifying existence, roamed the dark night, cunning and cruel. However, to Xiao Yi, these monsters were nothing more than paper tigers with nothing but appearance. As long as he wasn't surrounded by a large number of monsters, he could easily break their necks and end their threat.

His eyes gleamed with a fierce glint, a desire for survival and a firm belief in the future. He knew the world had undergone earth-shattering changes, and he was part of this transformation. He must stand tall, meet this unknown challenge, and protect the ones he loved.

In this rapidly changing world, every slightest sound could lead to endless trouble. Xiao Yi knew full well the predicament he would face if he alerted those awakened psychics. These psychics were like alert cheetahs, and any movement could not escape their perception.

Quietly eliminating one or two of these superpowers might not be difficult for Xiao Yi, as he possessed agility and exceptional intelligence. However, if they were all targeting him, it would be a completely different battle. He could not foresee the consequences of such a situation, nor could he imagine whether he could escape unscathed from such a siege.

Every step he takes is filled with vigilance, and every breath he takes seems to tell the world of his caution and alertness. In this world full of unknowns and dangers, he is like a lone wolf, who must always maintain a clear mind and sharp intuition to remain invincible in this survival game.
