The three of them escorted Xiao Yi through a steel door, and the world behind the door shocked him. They entered a long corridor, with rows of closed rooms on both sides. Each room seemed so mysterious, making people want to explore the secrets within. The corridor was dimly lit, with only a few lights on occasionally, adding a sense of mystery to this dark space.
They continued forward for three or four minutes, and suddenly, a huge door appeared at the end of the corridor, and behind the door was an open space. Xiao Yi was shocked by the scene before him. This was also the first time he saw the internal structure of this base.
This base was built around a mountain, hollowed out of it. Surrounding it were densely packed rooms, each one like a cell in a honeycomb, neatly arranged and organized. Some were large, some small, some lit, others utterly dark. Xiao Yi could imagine that some of these rooms might be laboratories, some warehouses, some rest rooms, and some prison cells.
They passed through the massive door and stepped into a vast open space. It was a large circular plaza, with a towering building in the center that looked like the base's central control room. Around the plaza were rows of rooms, larger and more spacious than those in the corridors.
Xiao Yi was brought to the door of a room, which was pushed open and they walked in. The room was simply decorated with only a table and a few chairs. Xiao Yi was arranged to sit on the chair, while the three stood opposite him with serious expressions.
The door of the room was closed, and the whole room fell into silence. Xiao Yi's heartbeat accelerated. He knew that something important might happen next. He clenched his fists nervously, ready to deal with any unexpected situation.
After a while, the door was pushed open again, and a tall, stern-looking man walked in. His eyes swept over Xiao Yi, making Xiao Yi feel a chill. The man walked to the table and sat down, then looked at Xiao Yi coldly.
"Are you Xiao Yi?" the man asked.
Xiao Yi nodded, trying to remain calm. He knew that this man was most likely the "boss" they had mentioned before, and the owner of this base.
"Do you know why we are looking for you?" the man continued to ask.
Xiao Yi nodded again, took a deep breath, and then said: "I know you came to me for supplies."
The man smiled slightly, then said, "Yes, we need supplies to keep this base running. And you have a lot of supplies, which is exactly what we need."
Xiao Yi's heart tightened. He knew that the "supplies" the man was talking about were the precious items he had collected before. However, he did not show it, and just said lightly: "So, what are you going to do?"
The man smiled slightly, then said, "It's simple. As long as you hand over the supplies, we can guarantee your safety. Otherwise, you will bear the consequences at your own risk."
Xiao Yi sneered in his heart. He knew that the man was threatening him. However, he did not back down. He just looked at the man firmly, ready to deal with any emergency that might occur.
Standing in this apocalyptic base shrouded in uncertainty and danger, Xiao Yi knew he had nowhere to retreat. A tense and menacing atmosphere permeated the air, as if every inch of the air was teeming with potential threats. He knew only by maintaining a high level of vigilance and a cool head could he survive this perilous environment.
His eyes, sharp as an eagle's, quickly scanned the vast space. This base was massive and complex, like a maze, difficult to grasp. However, Xiao Yi was an expert observer and analyst. His brain was like a high-speed computer, capable of processing vast amounts of information in a remarkably short period of time.
He carefully observed every corner of the base, every door, every pipe. His mind quickly constructed a three-dimensional plan of the building, every detail clearly visible. He searched for possible weaknesses, overlooked gaps, damaged facilities, or potential safety hazards.
He knew that to uncover the truth, he had to delve into the base's internal structure. Only then could he find the secret hidden deep within, the very foundation's weakness. He understood that this process would be arduous and dangerous, but he was ready.
Xiao Yi's heart was filled with firm belief and determination. He not only had to protect himself, but also his family and all the innocent lives in this doomsday base. He couldn't let those conspiracies and lies continue to spread, and couldn't let more people be hurt.
He began to move, his movements swift and precise, each one carefully considered. He walked along the corridors of the base, his fingers lightly touching the cold walls, feeling the warmth hidden beneath the surface. His ears perked up, catching any possible sound or movement.
He faced various challenges and difficulties, but he never gave up. He encountered maze-like passages, but with his extraordinary wisdom and calm mind, he found his way forward step by step. He encountered dangerous traps and obstacles, but with his keen observation and quick reaction, he successfully avoided one disaster after another.
In the process, Xiao Yi gradually discovered the truth about the base. He found that the base was not as simple as it seemed on the surface, and there was a huge conspiracy and secret behind it. This secret involved the future and destiny of mankind, as well as his own life experience and past.
