The lab was filled with a variety of instruments and equipment, each neatly arranged, demonstrating Yu Wei's rigorous approach to science. Wearing a white lab coat and heavy gloves, he was busy at the operating table. His gaze was firm and sharp, as if he wanted to take in every detail.
At the door, a group of guards stood in formation, their eyes vigilantly scanning the surroundings to ensure the safety of the laboratory. Xiao Yi stood in the distance, his eyes through the window falling on the busy figure. He knew that he could not get close, so he could only watch from afar, his heart filled with helplessness and expectation.
This laboratory seemed to be hiding some unknown secrets. What kind of experiments did Yu Wei, this mysterious and charming scientist, conduct here every day? What exactly was he studying? For Xiao Yi, these questions were full of temptation and curiosity.
Time passed slowly, and the night deepened. The lights in the laboratory were still on, and Yu Wei was still busy. And Xiao Yi was still standing in the distance, watching silently. His eyes swept towards the gate of the teaching building from time to time, expecting that familiar figure to appear.
Just then, a figure slowly emerged from the teaching building. It was Yu Wei. She looked exhausted, but as she spoke to Ye Ming beside her, a rare sense of ease shone in her eyes. Xiao Yi's heart tightened upon seeing this, then relaxed again. He approached with a gentle smile, as if all his anticipation and anxiety had been released at that moment.
"Yu Wei, you're out." There was a subtle tremor in Xiao Yi's voice, but he tried to remain calm, not wanting Yu Wei to see his nervousness.
Yu Wei and Ye Ming were both a little surprised to see Xiao Yi. Ye Ming was the first to break the silence, "Xiao Yi, how long have you been waiting here?"
Xiao Yi smiled slightly and shook his head. "It won't be long. It's just around noon. Let's go have a meal together."

At the same time, Ye Ming also noticed Xiao Yi's arrival. He was about to step forward to greet him, but was intimidated by Xiao Yi's stern expression and cold eyes. Ye Ming instantly felt the powerful aura and majesty emanating from Xiao Yi, as if an insurmountable chasm stood between them. This made Ye Ming swallow back all the words he had originally wanted to say. He dared not act rashly, for fear of angering this powerful being.
Xiao Yi's sudden appearance and his change made Yu Wei and Ye Ming feel a little overwhelmed. They didn't know why Xiao Yi appeared in the base uniform, nor did they know what his mood and attitude were at the moment. However, they could all feel the powerful aura and majesty emanating from Xiao Yi, which made them dare not slack off or despise him in the slightest.
In this situation, Yu Wei decided to take the initiative to break the deadlock. She walked forward and greeted Xiao Yi softly: "Xiao Yi, you are here." Her tone was full of tenderness and kindness, as if she wanted to use this method to dissolve the coldness and harshness of Xiao Yi.
When Xiao Yi heard Yu Wei's voice, a soft light flashed in his eyes. He nodded in response to Yu Wei's greeting. Then, he turned to look at Ye Ming, his eyes revealing an unquestionable majesty. He said in a deep voice: "Ye Ming, we need to talk."
Ye Ming was intimidated by Xiao Yi's gaze and tone, and dared not resist in the slightest. He nodded, indicating that he was willing to follow Xiao Yi's arrangements. Then, Xiao Yi turned and walked towards a meeting room inside the base, and Yu Wei and Ye Ming followed closely behind.
In the conference room, Xiao Yi sat in the main seat, while Yu Wei and Ye Ming sat on either side of him. Xiao Yi said straight to the point: "I'm here to resolve some issues, and you two are the key figures in this matter."
Yu Wei and Ye Ming looked at each other, both feeling a little confused. They didn't know what exactly Xiao Yi was talking about, nor did they know what role they played in this matter. However, they could all feel Xiao Yi's seriousness and solemnity, which made them dare not be careless.
