Chapter 427 Attack on the Snowfield

The cold wind blew fiercely, sweeping up waves of snow, as if to engulf the entire world in its icy embrace. Xiao Yi walked heavily through the snowy wasteland, leaving deep footprints with every step. His eyes gleamed with determination, and behind him was a long trail of footprints, recording his arduous journey.

Suddenly, a deep roar shattered the silence, and Xiao Yi's nerves instantly tensed. He looked around and saw a group of twisted, hideous zombies slowly approaching the snowy wasteland. Their skin was a bluish-gray, their eyes bloodshot, and their fangs gleamed coldly. These were mutant zombies, more ferocious and more difficult to deal with than ordinary zombies.

Xiao Yi gripped the weapon in his hand tightly. It was a specially modified rifle with a silencer and scope installed. He took a deep breath and prepared for the upcoming battle. He knew that this battle would be extremely difficult, but he could not retreat. He had to protect himself and the home behind him.

The zombies were getting closer and closer, their roars deafening. Xiao Yi aimed at one of the zombies and pulled the trigger. The gunshot echoed in the wind and snow. The zombie screamed after being hit and fell to the snow. However, this was just the beginning. More zombies rushed towards Xiao Yi, like an unstoppable tide.

Xiao Yi kept shooting, his movements swift and accurate, each shot accompanied by the screams of zombies. However, the number of zombies seemed endless, and they kept pouring towards Xiao Yi as if they were tireless. Xiao Yi's sweat mixed with the snowflakes and adhered to his face, but he had no time to care, only to focus more on dealing with the crisis at hand.

Suddenly, a mutant zombie pounced on Xiao Yi from the side. It was extremely fast and reached Xiao Yi's side in the blink of an eye. Xiao Yi reacted quickly and rolled sideways to avoid the zombie's attack. He kicked the zombie in the chest, sending it flying. However, the zombie did not fall down, but quickly got up and rushed towards Xiao Yi again.

Xiao Yi's eyes flashed. He knew that this zombie was the leader of this group of mutant zombies and had to be dealt with quickly. He aimed at the zombie's head and pulled the trigger. A flash of fire passed by, and the zombie's head was hit. It immediately lost its ability to move and fell to the snow.

With the leader zombie falling, the rest of the zombies seemed to lose their motivation to attack and began to flee. Xiao Yi did not let down his guard, as he knew these zombies could launch a new attack at any time. He held his weapon tightly and observed his surroundings vigilantly.

The snowstorm gradually subsided, revealing the moonlit wasteland. Xiao Yi stood on the snow, watching the fleeing zombies, and breathed a sigh of relief. He knew that, while the battle had been difficult, he would ultimately triumph. He looked up at the sky, a determined glint in his eyes. No matter how many challenges and difficulties lay ahead, he would face them fearlessly, protecting himself and his home.

Xiao Yi stood in the snow, facing the zombie horde that surged in like a tide, his tension and fear reaching a peak. These mutant zombies were different from ordinary ones, their skin was harder, their movements were faster, and their eyes flashed with a cruel and cunning red light.

Suddenly, a tall zombie rushed out from the crowd and headed straight for Xiao Yi. Its eyes were filled with violence and fury, and it let out a deep roar, as if it wanted to devour Xiao Yi. The zombie stretched out its hands, its sharp nails flashing coldly in the sunlight, as if it wanted to tear Xiao Yi apart.

Xiao Yi gripped the weapon tightly and quickly aimed at the zombie's head. He knew that this was the zombie's most vulnerable spot and the only way to quickly resolve the battle. He took a deep breath, calmed himself, and then pulled the trigger.

The sound of gunfire echoed in the snowstorm. The zombie was hit, and its head exploded instantly. A stream of dark red blood and white brain matter gushed out of the zombie's head, splattering on the surrounding snow, creating a thrilling scene.

The zombie's body shook a few times, then fell heavily to the snow. However, its head still maintained a strange twisted posture, as if issuing a final threat to Xiao Yi.

Xiao Yi did not let down his guard. He knew that this was just one of countless zombies, and more zombies were still pouring towards him. He held his weapon tightly and observed his surroundings vigilantly.

As the battle continued, more and more zombies were knocked down by Xiao Yi. Every time he smashed a zombie's head, a crystal core would pop out with the mucus and splash onto the surrounding snow. These crystal cores shone with mysterious light on the snow, as if they were the last bit of light in this apocalypse.

Xiao Yi's mood grew increasingly heavy, knowing that victory in this battle was only temporary. These zombies seemed endless, and their presence made the world darker and more desperate. However, Xiao Yi still stood firm in the wind and snow, knowing that he could not retreat. He had to fight for the future of himself and his homeland.

As the last zombie fell, Xiao Yi finally breathed a sigh of relief. He looked around and saw a mess and blood on the snowy wasteland. However, he knew that the victory of this battle belonged to him and to all those who fought for survival.

Xiao Yi stood in the wind and snow, his eyes sharp as torches. He was vigilant against the mutated zombies that kept pouring in from all around him, while quickly and agilely collecting the zombie crystal cores that fell on the snow.

These crystal cores are the energy cores within zombies, containing powerful energy. In this apocalyptic era, crystal cores are not only key to zombie research, but also a vital resource for human survival. They can be used to craft weapons, medicine, and even as a source of energy.
