Chapter 428: The Baga People Trying to Fish in Troubled Waters

The mutant's skin, once smooth and elastic, now seemed to have been corroded by a poison, losing its original luster and texture. It became rough and hard, cold and slippery to the touch, as if covered with a thin layer of frost. Bluish-purple markings spread across the skin like twisting vines, making people shudder.

Their muscles had lost their natural softness and elasticity. They were abnormally swollen, twisted and protruding like overinflated balloons. The muscle fibers seemed to be filled with an unknown force, granting these mutants superhuman strength and speed.

Even more terrifying was the fact that their skeletons had also undergone a transformation. Bones, which should have been hidden beneath the skin, now emerged from beneath the skin like branches, sharp and hideous. These bones exhibited an unnatural bend and twist, as if forcibly twisted into this shape by some unknown force.

Xiao Yi and his companions looked at the bodies of these mutants, their hearts filled with shock and fear. They knew that these mutants were no longer human, but monsters controlled by some unknown force. Not only did they possess powerful strength and combat power, but their bodies had also undergone mutations, becoming even more terrifying and terrifying.

Facing such an enemy, Xiao Yi and his companions knew that they had to be more vigilant and united. Only in this way could they win the battle and protect the safety of themselves and their homes.

At the moment the apocalypse arrived, Xiao Yi's world was turned upside down. The pedestrians on the streets suddenly transformed into roaring zombies, their bloodshot eyes devoid of any humanity. Panic and despair spread through the city like a plague. However, in this apocalyptic world, Xiao Yi found a weapon: a baseball bat.

This is no ordinary baseball bat. It once accompanied Xiao Yi through countless leisurely afternoons and witnessed the laughter and sweat of him and his friends on the field. But now, it has become his only support in this terrifying new world.

Xiao Yi gripped the baseball bat tightly, his fingers turning pale from the exertion. His heart was beating like a drum, but he knew he couldn't retreat. The zombies were pouring in like a tide, and he had to protect himself and those who were still alive.

Suddenly, a zombie rushed in front of Xiao Yi, a hideous grin on its rotting face. Xiao Yi didn't hesitate. He swung the baseball bat and smashed it into the zombie's head with all his strength. The sound of the baseball bat colliding with the zombie's skull was deafening. With a shrill scream, the zombie's skull was instantly shattered by the impact of the baseball bat.

Brain matter and blood splattered out, like a disgusting picture. Xiao Yi's face and body were splashed with these filth, but he had no time to wipe them off. He only knew that he had to continue fighting until the last zombie fell.

The baseball bat swung faster and faster in Xiao Yi's hand, and every swing was accompanied by the screams of the zombies and the collapse of their bodies. There was only coldness and determination in his eyes, as if he had transformed into the guardian of the end of the world.

The air around him was filled with the smell of decay and death, but an unyielding fire burned in Xiao Yi's heart. He knew that this battle might never end, but as long as he still held the baseball bat in his hand, he would not retreat.

Zombies fell one after another, but more zombies came from all directions. Xiao Yi's physical strength was depleting, but his will was getting stronger and stronger. He swung the baseball bat, and every swing was filled with his anger and determination.

Until the last moment, Xiao Yi finally heard the cheers of victory. The zombies were repelled, and those who survived gathered around him, their eyes full of gratitude and respect. Xiao Yi put down the baseball bat and sat on the ground tiredly, but a satisfied smile appeared on his face.

He knew that this battle was just a small episode in the doomsday, but he also understood that as long as he still held the baseball bat, he would be able to protect those innocent lives until the dawn of hope came again.

Xiao Yi's breath condensed into white mist in the cold air as he stumbled across the thick snow. Silence reigned, the only sounds echoing through him except for the crunch of snow beneath his feet and the sound of his own heartbeat. This snow-covered wasteland was the end of his escape, and also the starting point of his fateful turn.

Suddenly, a flurry of footsteps broke the silence, and Xiao Yi's nerves instantly tensed. He quickly looked around and saw a group of figures leaping out of the snow, holding sticks and with ferocious faces. They were Baga people, their eyes gleaming with greed and ferocity. Clearly, they had already set an ambush here, waiting for Xiao Yi's arrival.

Xiao Yi knew he had no way out. He clenched his fists, feeling the power surge through his body. His speed ability was the magic weapon he relied on to survive in the apocalyptic world. He took a deep breath and prepared for the upcoming battle.

The other side obviously hadn't expected Xiao Yi to possess supernatural powers, and their attacks seemed clumsy and slow. Xiao Yi smiled slightly, and his body suddenly disappeared from the spot, leaving only a faint afterimage. The next moment, he appeared behind a Baga countryman and punched him in the back.

The Baga man screamed, flew backwards, and fell heavily on the snow. His companions looked at this scene in astonishment. They couldn't believe their eyes. This seemingly ordinary young man actually possessed such magical powers.

Xiao Yi didn't give them much time to react. He was like a ghost, moving quickly across the snow. Every time he appeared, there was a scream and a fallen figure. His speed ability was brought to its limit, as if the whole world was spinning under his feet.

The people of Baga began to panic, their attacks became disorganized, and they could only passively respond to Xiao Yi's attacks. Xiao Yi was like an elegant dancer, leaving a series of beautiful tracks on the snow.
