The already tense and oppressive atmosphere became even more severe due to the scarcity of resources. Surrounded by limited food and water, people began to reveal their deepest greed and fear.
A thin man clutched a bottle of water, his eyes filled with wariness and despair. The crowd around him, like hungry beasts, stared intently at the bottle, as if it were their only hope of survival. Suddenly, a tall figure rushed out and shoved the man. He stumbled, fell to the ground, and the bottle flew out of his hand.
"This is mine!" the tall figure roared, quickly picking up the water bottle and glaring fiercely at the people around him. However, the crowd was not intimidated by his intimidation. Instead, they became even more excited and fanatical, as if this was a life-or-death struggle.
"No, that's ours!" a female voice shrieked. She rushed forward, attempting to wrest the water bottle from the tall figure. A fierce struggle ensued between the two, and the surrounding crowd joined in the fray, turning the scene into chaos.
The sounds of fists and feet clashing, roars, and screams intertwined to create a doomsday scene. In this melee, people seemed to have forgotten their former solidarity and mutual assistance, leaving only the desire for survival and the struggle for resources.
"Stop!" a commanding voice rang out. It was the base commander, standing high above, his gaze sternly scanning the crowd below. His voice, imbued with undeniable authority, instantly quieted the chaotic scene.
The men stopped what they were doing, some lowering their heads, others glaring angrily at the commander. Yet, deep down, they felt an inexplicable awe and fear. They knew that if they didn't stop, order in the base would completely collapse. Then, they would face not only a lack of resources, but also the even more dangerous threat of zombies.
The commander walked down slowly, his eyes sweeping over everyone's face. He didn't say anything, but with that deep and firm look, people could feel his determination and conviction.
Finally, under the commander's majesty and persuasion, people gradually restored order and began to line up in an orderly manner to receive food and water. Although everyone's face was tired and heavy, their hearts were filled with hope and faith in the future.
On a bitterly cold winter day, the north wind howled, and the ground was covered in thick white snow, as if the entire world had frozen. However, on this silent snowy plain, a thrilling battle was unfolding.
The protagonist, Xiao Yi, is a tall, resolute young man wearing thick winter clothing and holding a sharp ice knife. He is fighting a group of zombies. His eyes are shining with determination, and every swing of the knife is full of power.
The zombies were twisted and had hideous faces. They seemed to be insensitive to the cold and just kept rushing towards Xiao Yi. Although Xiao Yi was powerful, there were so many zombies that he had to stay alert at all times and look for a breakthrough.
The battle was extremely fierce. Xiao Yi's ice blade drew silver tracks in the air, and every collision with the zombies made a crisp metallic collision sound. His figure moved quickly on the snow, sometimes jumping, sometimes rolling, and each time he was able to cleverly avoid the zombies' attacks.
However, as time went on, Xiao Yi's physical strength gradually consumed, while the zombies seemed endless. He knew that he could not continue to consume like this, and he had to find a way to change the situation.
At this moment, he noticed that the zombies' movements began to slow down, and a hint of confusion appeared in their eyes. It turned out that this extremely cold place had a greater impact on them than they had imagined. Xiao Yi was delighted and immediately seized this opportunity to launch an even more fierce attack.
He brandished the ice knife and rushed towards the zombies like a violent storm. Every time he swung the knife, he could chop down several zombies. Their bodies were quickly frozen by the coldness of the ice knife and could no longer pose a threat to Xiao Yi.
The battle went more and more smoothly, and Xiao Yi's physical strength gradually recovered. He knew in his heart that this was the critical moment for him to turn the tide of the battle. So, he took a deep breath, gathered all his strength, and launched a final charge towards the last few zombies.
The ice blade drew a perfect arc in the air and directly chopped off the zombie's head. With a shrill scream, the zombie's body collapsed, unable to move anymore.
The battle was finally over. Xiao Yi stood on the snow and looked around. The zombies that were once bustling around had now fallen in the snow, covered by thick white snow. An inexplicable emotion surged in his heart. Although this battle was tragic, it also made him more determined in his belief.
He put away his ice blade and prepared to leave the battlefield. However, the moment he turned around, he saw a small figure trembling in the snow. It was a little girl, ragged and pale, obviously frightened by the battle.
Xiao Yi's heart softened, and he walked over to help the little girl up. He took off his winter clothes and put them on the little girl, then took her hand and walked away.
"Don't be afraid, I will protect you." Xiao Yi's voice was firm and gentle.
The little girl looked up at him, a trace of gratitude and trust in her eyes. She held Xiao Yi's hand tightly, as if she had found support at this moment.
In this way, Xiao Yi and the little girl embarked on a new journey. They faced more challenges and dangers, but no matter what difficulties they encountered, they would move forward firmly. Because they believed that as long as they had faith and courage, nothing could stop them from moving forward.
