The sun scorched the sand relentlessly, until every grain seemed to steam. On this scorched earth, the army ants appeared like a dark curse, their dense swarms surging like a tidal wave, a terrifying sight.
These army ants, each dark brown and no bigger than a fingernail, are terrifying in their sheer numbers. Their heads are incredibly hard, their mouthparts sharp as knives, and once they've locked onto their prey, they won't let go. Their eyes, though small, gleam with a cold and determined light, as if to say, "Anyone who stands in our way will be devoured."
The march of army ants is even more chilling. They don't just crawl around randomly, but march in an organized, disciplined manner. Each ant adheres strictly to some unknown rule, leaving behind straight tracks in the sand, like a vast black army marching on the battlefield.
Even more terrifying is that wherever the army ants go, no grass or shrub is spared. Like a pack of hungry beasts, they frantically devour anything edible. Their mouthparts tear back and forth at their prey, creating a chilling, rustling sound. That sound, like the call of death, sends shivers down your spine.
As the army ants advanced, the once vibrant sands quickly became desolate. The once green vegetation was ravaged by their gnaws, and once-active insects and small animals fled, though most were devoured. Only patches of gnawed earth and the remnants of countless lives remained, a scene resembling hell on earth.
The terrifying thing about army ants isn't just their numbers and strength, but their ruthless nature. They won't be swayed by the struggles of their prey, nor will they stop just because they're full. They simply keep moving forward, devouring until they reach their destination.
In this desert overrun by army ants, life has become fragile and powerless. Those creatures that once inhabited this land can only hide in corners, hoping to escape. However, to the army ants, their very existence is the greatest threat, and they will mercilessly devour anyone who stands in their way.
Xiao Yi's pupils suddenly contracted. When he saw the densely packed army ants surging like a black tide, a chill rushed from the soles of his feet to the top of his head. Those tiny life forms seemed to have gathered into an unstoppable force. Wherever they went, all life trembled under their sharp teeth.
He didn't have time to think, only one thought in his mind - escape! He turned and rushed to his car, using his hands and feet to open the door, and jumped in. His heart was beating wildly in his chest, as if it wanted to break free and escape from this terrifying place with his movements.
The car started, and the tires left deep marks in the sand. Xiao Yi gripped the steering wheel tightly, his eyes fixed on the road ahead. He wanted to speed up to the limit and escape from this terrifying group of army ants. The wind from the sand whistled in through the car window, ruffling his hair, but it couldn't dispel the panic in his heart.
In the rearview mirror, the traces of the army ants became clearer and clearer. They were like a black torrent, constantly advancing forward. Xiao Yi's heart was in his throat. He knew that he could not relax or hesitate at all.
He stepped on the accelerator, and the car sped across the sand like an arrow from a bow. But even so, he could still feel the pressure from behind, as if the sharp teeth of army ants had already bitten into the rear of his car, ready to devour him at any time.
He kept telling himself to stay calm, stay calm. He knew that panic would only make him lose his mind, and only by staying calm could he find a chance to escape.
He kept adjusting his direction, trying to find a way to get rid of the army ants. But no matter how hard he tried, the army ants were like a thorn in his flesh, following him closely and refusing to let him go.
Time seemed to slow down abnormally, and every second was like torture. Cold sweat oozed from Xiao Yi's forehead, but his hands still held the steering wheel steadily, and his eyes revealed a determined light.
Finally, after a long escape, he saw hope ahead—a dense forest. Without hesitation, he stepped on the accelerator and rushed towards the green barrier. He knew that as long as he entered the dense forest, he would have a chance of escape.
The vehicle rushed into the dense forest, branches and leaves scraped across the vehicle body, making a harsh sound. But Xiao Yi no longer cared about these things, he just wanted to escape from the group of terrifying marching ants as soon as possible.
Finally, when the vehicle went deep into the dense forest, he looked back and saw that the traces of the army ants had disappeared from the sand. He breathed a sigh of relief, having finally escaped the clutches of the army ants.
But Xiao Yi knew that this was only a temporary victory. He had to find a safe place as soon as possible and then find a way to deal with the next challenge. Because he knew that in this land full of unknowns and dangers, survival was never an easy thing.
Xiao Yi's heartbeat was as rapid as a drum. He looked through the rearview mirror and watched the army ants surge in like a black tide. The dense formation was suffocating. He knew that simply running away was not a long-term solution. He had to find a way to fight these terrible creatures.
Suddenly, an idea flashed through his mind—army ants are afraid of fire! He remembered reading this information in a book about nature exploration. So, he quickly searched the space in his mind for items and finally found a few incendiary bombs.
Xiao Yi took out the incendiary bomb without hesitation, quickly pulled out the safety pin, and threw it towards the marching ants chasing after the car. The incendiary bomb drew an arc in the air and landed accurately among the marching ants.
