He sat beside the sand dunes, admiring the distant sunset, savoring this rare moment of tranquility. The cold noodles were smooth and chewy, each bite bringing a refreshing coolness that was refreshing. The duck was fragrant and tender, leaving every bite with a lasting aftertaste. The ice-cold beer was the icing on the cake, its refreshing taste washing away the day's fatigue and heat.
In this apocalyptic world, order has collapsed, and people are struggling to survive. Concerns about drunk driving have long been forgotten, because in this desolate desert, there are no traffic rules or law enforcement constraints. Xiao Yi can enjoy this freedom and indulgence to the fullest without worrying about any consequences.
However, he didn't let this stop him from indulging himself. He knew that life in the apocalypse was full of unknowns and dangers, and he had to remain sober and vigilant. So, he simply savored the delicious beer in moderation, enjoying this rare peace and freedom.
As night fell, Xiao Yi packed up his dishes and prepared to rest. He lay in his soft sleeping bag, gazing at the starry sky, his heart filled with anticipation and hope for the future. He knew that as long as he persevered, he would be able to find a way to leave the desert and return to the civilized world.
The scorching sun scorched the endless desert mercilessly. Sand dunes undulated like waves on the earth, yet devoid of the rhythm of life. Heat waves rolled in, twisting the air into eerie patterns, as if even time had stood still in this scorching heat.
A caravan trudged through this land of death. Their faces were filled with exhaustion and despair, their lips chapped, and their eyes flickered with a desire for life. Each one tried to shrink as much as possible to avoid the pervasive heat.
"Water... I need water..." A young businessman suddenly fell to the ground, clutching the sand with both hands, and cried out heartbreakingly. His skin was tanned, and the sweat had long since evaporated, leaving only traces of dried tears.
The captain hurried over, poured the few remaining drops of water from his water bag, and carefully fed it to the young man. However, those few drops of water evaporated instantly in the scorching desert heat, not even enough to moisten his lips.
"We can't stop." The captain hardened his heart and helped the young man up. "Keep moving forward, otherwise we will all die here."
The caravan continued to move forward, but everyone's steps were much heavier. They knew that this desert was like a giant devil's claw, slowly tightening, ready to swallow them all.
As night fell, the caravan finally found a relatively flat spot to set up camp. However, the desert at night was no more unbearable than during the day. The cold wind howled, carrying grains of sand so sharp it seemed to cut through the skin.
The merchants sat around the fire, leaning on each other for warmth, their eyes filled with fear and anxiety, each of them knowing that in this desert, life was fragile and death could strike at any moment.
Suddenly, a strong wind blew, causing the fire to sway and collapse. The merchants screamed in fear and frantically tried to put out the spreading fire. However, the wind grew stronger and stronger, and the flames instantly engulfed the entire camp.
The merchants struggled in the sea of fire, but their cries were quickly drowned out by the strong wind and flames. The firelight reflected on their faces, revealing pictures of despair and distortion.
Eventually, the caravan vanished into the endless desert, leaving behind only a scorched expanse of earth and a few roasted corpses. The desert returned to its tranquility, as if nothing had happened. However, in this land of death, the demise of life was a common occurrence.
The desert, this most terrifying and terrifying existence, uses its ruthless power to demonstrate the fragility and insignificance of life. In this land, the scorching sun and the cold sandstorm dominate, and humanity can only linger under the clutches of this devil.
Deep in the endless desert, a lone RV sat quietly. Under the scorching sun, the desert heatwaves were like invisible giant hands, attempting to devour all life. Inside the RV, Xiao Yi was using carefully arranged ice cubes to lower the temperature, barely maintaining a cool atmosphere.
As night fell, the silence of the desert was broken by a strange sound. The sound was low and melodious, like an ancient call, or a demon's whisper. Xiao Yi's heart tightened, and he immediately turned on the RV's surveillance camera.
On the screen, a dense mass of red eyes suddenly appeared amidst the darkness. They flickered with a faint light, like the flames of hell, a chilling sight. The eyes grew closer, as if something were approaching the RV.
Xiao Yi's heartbeat quickened, he gripped the weapon in his hand tightly, and was ready to respond. He knew that in this desolate desert, any slight movement could mean life or death.
Suddenly, there was a heavy crash outside the RV. Xiao Yi rushed out of the RV and saw a group of strange creatures surrounding it. They had red eyes and sharp claws, and they were the owners of those eyes.
Xiao Yi took a deep breath. He knew he had to face it bravely. He raised his weapon and started a fierce fight with those creatures. Every time he swung his weapon, it was accompanied by a shrill howl.
At the moment of leaving the desert, Xiao Yi looked back at the land that once frightened him. His heart was filled with emotion and awe, and he was proud that he could survive in this land of death.
From then on, Xiao Yi became a stronger and braver person. He used his own experience to tell the world that even in the face of the most terrible and terrifying existence, as long as there is courage and wisdom, one will be able to overcome all difficulties and find his own vitality and hope.
