A half-human, half-zombie fellow zombie, Xiao Yi rescued during a battle. Possessing the strength of a zombie and some human intelligence, he became Xiao Yi's most capable assistant. Under his guidance, Xiao Yi and his companions evaded numerous traps and finally found the zombie lair.
It was a dark and damp underground cave, the entrance covered with moss and vines, as if a huge monster had opened its mouth, waiting for its prey to fall into its trap. Xiao Yi took a deep breath, gripped his weapon tightly, and quietly sneaked into the cave with his zombie companions.
The cave was completely dark, with only a faint light from afar illuminating their path. Xiao Yi observed his surroundings warily, fearing to miss any movement. Their footsteps were light and swift, moving through the cave like ghosts.
Finally, they reached the depths of the cave. There, a large number of zombies gathered, roaring and charging as if they were holding a grand carnival. Xiao Yi looked at the scene before him, and a strong murderous intent surged in his heart. He knew that these zombies were the cancer of the apocalypse and must be completely eradicated.
The entrance to the zombie lair is hidden in a desolate ruin. The cave entrance is covered by dense vines and moss, as if nature deliberately disguised it as an inconspicuous corner.
Xiao Yi carefully pushed aside the vines, and a sickening stench of decay filled his nose. He frowned and held his breath, trying not to let the smell invade his lungs. The entrance to the cave was pitch black, like a giant mouth that swallowed everything, waiting for their arrival.
They filed into the cave, revealing a vastly larger space than it appeared. The surrounding stone walls were covered in damp moss, its slippery texture repulsive. The air was filled with the scent of dampness and decay, mixed with an indescribable stench that nearly suffocated them.
Strangely shaped stalactites hang from the cave ceiling, their tips dripping with water droplets that make a crisp sound. These droplets create tiny splashes as they land, bringing a refreshing coolness to the touch – a rare comfort in this hot and oppressive cave.
Deeper into the cave, they discovered a complex network of passages and caverns, resembling a vast underground maze. Some passages were narrow and winding, barely wide enough for one person to pass through; others were spacious and open, wide enough for dozens of people to walk through simultaneously. These passages crisscrossed, seemingly endlessly, and the sheer number of zombies was terrifying.
Finally, they reached the depths of the cavern. It was a vast cavern, spacious enough to hold hundreds of zombies. In the center lay a bottomless black pool, its edges covered in wet moss and water plants. Bubbles rose from the pool from time to time, making a gurgling sound, as if some monster slumbered beneath the surface.
What shocked them most was the dense mass of zombies gathered around the cave. They sat, lay, stood, or stood still, as if they had spent ages here. Their bodies were rotting, their skin covered in purple spots and pustules, and they exuded a sickening odor. Their eyes were hollow and lifeless, but a strange smile clung to their lips, as if mocking the intruders.
He signaled to his fellow zombies, preparing to attack. With a low growl, the zombies rushed towards the zombie horde. Xiao Yi took the opportunity to raise his weapon and slashed fiercely at the densest part of the zombie horde.
For a moment, the cave was filled with deafening sounds of fighting and the roars of zombies. Xiao Yi and his fellow zombies worked in perfect harmony, slashing, stabbing, pouncing, and biting, bringing each zombie to the ground.
After a fierce battle, the zombie horde was finally completely wiped out. Xiao Yi and his fellow zombies sat on the ground exhausted, panting. They looked at the zombie remains scattered all over the ground, and an indescribable sense of accomplishment surged in their hearts.
After returning to the fortress, Xiao Yi reported the results of the operation to his superiors. When the people in the fortress learned that the zombie nest had been destroyed, they cheered. They knew that this operation not only reduced the number of zombies, but also won them more living space.
Xiao Yi and his fellow zombies also received generous rewards and people's respect for this mission. They knew that in this apocalypse, as long as everyone worked together, they would be able to overcome all difficulties and embrace new hope.
After the end, Xiao Yi sat on the ground exhausted, breathing heavily. His eyes accidentally fell on the remains of a zombie, where there was a crystal clear core, emitting a faint light.
Xiao Yi picked up the crystal core curiously and observed it carefully. He found that the crystal core contained a powerful force that seemed to be able to be extracted for human use. This discovery made Xiao Yi very excited. He realized that this might be a new hope for human survival in the end times.
So, Xiao Yi began to study how to extract the power from the crystal core. He tried various methods, but all ended in failure. However, by accident, he accidentally discovered an effective extraction method.
It turns out that the power of the crystal core can only be stimulated under specific temperature and pressure. Xiao Yi used his knowledge and experience to make a simple refining device. By controlling the temperature and pressure, he successfully extracted a pure energy from the crystal core.
This energy is powerful and stable, and can provide great help for human survival. Xiao Yi excitedly imagined that if humans could master this refining method, they could use the power of zombie crystal cores to create new weapons, provide energy, and even develop an antidote to cure the zombie virus.
