At the edge of the dim forest, Xiao Yi and his group looked at each other, each face filled with despair and determination. Behind them were ruins that had been occupied by zombies and mutant creatures, and in front of them was a bottomless primeval forest. It seemed peaceful, but it hid endless terror and horror.
"We're caught between a rock and a hard place," one team member said hoarsely. "The road behind us is a dead end, while the forest ahead, while full of unknowns and dangers, at least offers a glimmer of hope."
"Right!" Another team member's eyes gleamed with an unyielding light. "We can't just sit there and wait for death. We must fight! Maybe in this forest, we can find a new way out, or a way to fight those zombie mutants."
Xiao Yi took a deep breath. He looked around and felt the oppressive and heavy atmosphere. He knew that they had no way out. Instead of waiting for death in fear, it was better to face the unknown bravely and fight for that glimmer of hope.
"Okay!" he said decisively. "Let's go into the forest! But everyone must be careful. This forest is much more dangerous than we imagined. We must always remain vigilant, support each other, and face difficulties together."
Everyone nodded, a glint of determination flashing in their eyes. They knew the road ahead would be even more difficult, but they also believed that as long as they united as one, nothing could stop them from moving forward.
So, when night was about to fall, Xiao Yi and his group resolutely stepped into the primeval forest full of terror and fear. They didn't know what was waiting for them ahead, but they knew that only by facing it bravely could they find their chance of survival.
Deep in the forest, the dense canopy blocked out the sun, and the light was dim and mottled. In this almost isolated primitive jungle, any modern means of transportation seemed so useless. They could only rely on their own two legs and explore forward step by step.
Xiao Yi and his companions, dressed in their toughest clothing, resembled fully armed warriors. They advanced, one foot deep, one foot shallow, each step carefully placed, fearing they might step on a snake or trap hidden in the grass. Sweat trickled down their foreheads, mixing with the dirt on their faces, but they paid no attention to it, simply moving forward.
In this forest filled with unknowns and dangers, they dared not let their guard down for even a moment. They knew that a single misstep could lead to desperate situations. Therefore, they supported each other and faced difficulties together. Whenever someone felt exhausted or down, the others would encourage them to persevere, knowing that only by working together could they survive in this forest.
As time went by, their physical strength gradually depleted, but their faith grew stronger. They knew that only by moving forward could they find a way out and fight for that glimmer of hope. Therefore, they gritted their teeth and continued to move forward until they disappeared into the mist deep in the forest.
Suddenly, a rustling sound broke the silence of the forest, as if countless whispers were ringing in their ears. Xiao Yi and his companions immediately stopped in their tracks, looking around with serious expressions. They saw countless snakes slowly wriggling in the surrounding trees and grass, emerging from all directions as if this place was their lair.
Some of the snakes were slender, while others were as thick as trees. Their colorful skin shimmered eerily in the sunlight. Their eyes flashed coldly, and they hissed as if warning intruders.
Faced with this sudden swarm of snakes, the few people were terrified. They knew that some of these snakes were extremely venomous, and if bitten, the consequences would be disastrous. However, it was too late to escape, as the snakes had already surrounded them.
They gripped their weapons tightly and nervously observed the movements around them. Xiao Yi took a deep breath and tried to stay calm. He knew that at this time, he could only rely on the strength of the team to have a hope of breaking through.
He whispered to his companions, "Don't panic, let's stand back to back and form a defensive circle. Try not to let the snakes get close to us." His companions nodded and acted according to his instructions.
They gripped their weapons tightly, carefully fending off the snakes' attacks. Each bite was skillfully avoided, and their counterattacks only caused the snakes to retreat slightly. However, the snakes were too numerous, and they gradually felt overwhelmed.
At this moment, Xiao Yi suddenly noticed a hole in the trunk of a large tree, which seemed to be the nest of these snakes. He thought that perhaps he could find a breakthrough from there.
He whispered to his companions, "Look at that cave entrance. Maybe we can break out from there. I'll lead the snakes away, and you take the opportunity to rush over." After that, he rushed forward, waving the weapon in his hand to attract the attention of the snakes.
Seeing this, his companions immediately seized the opportunity and rushed to the cave entrance. After a fierce battle, they finally broke through and escaped from the encirclement of the snake group.
However, they also paid a heavy price. Several people were left with snake bite wounds. Although they took first aid medicine in time, they still needed to find a safe place to rest and receive treatment as soon as possible.
